A clutch mechanism is provided between a drive wheel and an electric motor. In a high vehicle speed region, the electric motor is decoupled from the drive wheel to prevent the electric motor from over-speeding. In the high vehicle speed region, in which the clutch mechanism is switched to a disengaged condition, rotation speed control is executed on the electric motor when a state of charge falls below a predetermined lower limit value, and a motor rotation speed is maintained at a target rotation speed on a lower rotation side than an upper limit rotation speed. Further, the clutch mechanism is switched from the disengaged condition to a slip condition. Hence, a limited power generation torque is supplied to the electric motor, and thus the electric motor can be controlled to a regeneration condition while suppressing the motor rotation speed to or below the upper limit rotation speed.

Control apparatus for electric automobile

A motor transmission apparatus is provided between a transmission output shaft coupled to a drive wheel and a motor shaft coupled to a motor/generator. The motor transmission apparatus includes a first power transmission path that is switched to a power transmission condition by a high clutch having a clutch oil chamber, and a second power transmission path that is switched to a power transmission condition by a low brake having a brake oil chamber. Working oil discharged from an oil pump is guided to an oil passage switching valve via an output control valve. The working oil is distributed to one of the clutch oil chamber and the brake oil chamber by the oil passage switching valve, and therefore interlocking, in which the high clutch and the low brake are engaged simultaneously, can be avoided.

In a heat exchanger having a core portion in which aluminum flat tubes and aluminum fins are disposed alternatively and brazed with each other, each fin has one side portion located at one side of the tube and the other side portion located at the other side of the tube. The one side portion of the fin is higher in pitting potential than the other side portion of the fin, and the pitting potential difference between the one side portion of the fin and the other side portion of the fin is 40 to 200 mV. The pitting potential difference can be formed by the Zn concentration difference in the aluminum alloy constituting the fin.

In an engine-power transfer channel constituted by the engine-side input axleand the output axle, there is provided a transmission for changing a revolution speed of the engine-power transfer channel to a plurality shift ranges. When a vehicle is engine-driven, the revolution speed of the engine-power transfer channel is changed, thereby allowing a drive force of the vehicle to be changed.

Driving apparatus for an electric vehicle

An aluminum alloy filler material for use in welding of metal members including at least one aluminum die-cast member containing Mg includes an aluminum or an aluminum alloy as base material and Al&#x2014;K&#x2014;F series flux. In a friction agitation joining method, two plate-shaped joining members different in thickness, or first and second joining members, are abutted against each other with a level difference formed at upper surface sides thereof. A rotating probe of a joining tool is inserted into the butted portion of the first and second joining members from upper surface sides thereof. Joining-direction front sides of the first and second joining members with respect to the probe inserted position are pressed by first and second front pressing rollers, respectively, from the upper surface sides thereof. Furthermore, joining-direction lower sides of the first and the second joining members with respect to a probe inserted position from the upper surface sides are pressed by first and second lower pressing rollers, respectively, from the upper surface sides thereof. In this state, the butted portion is joined by the friction agitation joining method.

A driving apparatus has a differential gear unit and an electric motor and drives drive wheels of a vehicle. The differential gear unit includes a differential case provided with a final driven gear, and two axle shafts respectively coupled to the drive wheels. A hollow rotor shaft is coaxially disposed outside one of the axle shafts, and a rotor of the electric motor is fixed to this rotor shaft. A reduction shaft is disposed in parallel to the axle shaft, and this reduction shaft is provided with a driven gear, which is engaged with a drive gear provided on the rotor shaft, and a final drive gear engaged with the final driven gear.

A backing plate for sputtering is constituted by a base portion comprising a plate member made of aluminum or its alloy, a surface of which is attached with a target T of an ITO sintered body or the like and a cooling portion in a flat plate shape having a cooling medium flow path at an inner portion thereof. Further, the cooling portion is integrally attached to a rear face of the base by friction agitation bonding. The cooling portion comprises a roll bond panel made of aluminum or its alloy and inner hollow portions of bulged pipe portions constitute the cooling medium flow path . Thereby, a backing plate which is light-weighted and has high cooling efficiency can be provided.

An arm member is used as, for example, a suspension arm of an automobile. The arm member comprises a main body made of a pipe member and a coupling member having a connecting portion. The pipe member is made of aluminum or its alloy. The coupling member is made of aluminum and includes a bushing mounting portion for mounting a vibroisolating bushing. The thickness of the peripheral wall of the end portion of the main body is increased in thickness to have a thickness thicker than that of the other portion of the main body. The connecting portion is abutted to the peripheral wall of the end portion to form an abutted portion, and connected thereto at the abutted portion. Thus, the coupling member is coupled to the main body.

Arm member

A connected structure includes a supporting member and a bushing mounting member connected thereto. The supporting member is made of a pipe having a round cross-sectional shape. The bushing mounting member includes a bushing mounting portion for mounting a bushing having a rubber elastic member and a connecting portion protruded from the bushing mounting portion. The connecting portion is press-fitted into an opening at one end of the supporting member, and the connecting portion and the supporting member are joined together along a circumference of the supporting member by a friction agitation joining method. Accordingly, the connecting member which is light in weight and high in strength with an improved efficiency for utilizing the surrounding space and a predetermined characteristics of a bushing can be obtained.
