An optical connector cleaning tool includes a cleaning head that faces the lens (cleaning target portion) of an optical connector, and a cleaning cloth () that moves with respect to the cleaning head in a state in which the cleaning cloth is in contact with the lens. The cleaning cloth () is formed into a strip shape by a fabric () including a plurality of warps () in which a longitudinal direction thereof is a moving direction of the cleaning cloth moving with respect to the cleaning head. The warp () includes a first chemical fiber () and a second chemical fiber (). One chemical fiber of the first chemical fiber () and the second chemical fiber () is in a stretched state, and the other chemical fiber is in a slack state. It is possible to provide an optical connector cleaning tool capable of cleaning a lens-type optical connector.

Optical connector cleaning tool

An optical connector cleaning tool includes a supply reel () having a belt-like cleaning cloth (), and a winding bobbin () for winding the cleaning cloth (). The optical connector cleaning tool also includes a housing () which rotatably supports the supply reel () and winding bobbin (), a cleaning head () which comes in contact with the cleaning cloth (), and a pressing member () which supports the cleaning head () and moves in a longitudinal direction with respect to the housing (). The optical connector cleaning tool further includes a slide spring () which biases the pressing member () forward, and a transmission mechanism () which transmits an action of the pressing member () to the winding bobbin (). The transmission mechanism () includes a rack () on the side of the pressing member (), and a pinion on the side of the winding bobbin (). When the pressing member () retreats with respect to the housing (), the transmission mechanism () rotates the winding bobbin () in a winding direction so as to feed the cleaning cloth (). This optical connector cleaning tool can easily clean an optical connector plug while achieving downsizing by using a simple structure.
