A small, high-performance image pickup lens unit having an IR cut filter that can be incorporated reliably therein while avoiding an increase in processing complexity. A sealing portionis disposed between a lensand an IR cut filterin order to seal an internal space IS sandwiched between the lensand the IR cut filter, and therefore a holdercan be molded integrally with the lensand the IR cut filterincorporated therein while preventing liquid resin MP from flowing in between the lensand the IR cut filter. By molding the holderintegrally with the lensand the IR cut filterincorporated therein in this manner, an image pickup lens unitcan be reduced in size, and reductions in the number of components and the number of assembly man-hours can be achieved.

Image pickup lens unit () comprises, in order to minimize the positional displacement between an optical system and a holder therefor, compound lens (), holder () which houses compound lens () therein, and cover () which covers compound lens (). In holder (), there is formed peripheral section () which restricts the movement of compound lens () in the XY-direction. An object is to provide a method for manufacturing an image pickup lens unit which can form a holder member with a small number of components, and can avoid generation or a ghost or flare caused by a positioning shape, an appearance problem, deterioration of dimension accuracy. In an installing step, since a lensis positioned by one pressing member (protrusion)of protrusionsandwhich are a pair of pressing members disposed in a position corresponding to a pair of openings OPand OPby moldsand, it is possible to reliably fix the lensin the moldsandin a state of not affecting to a shape of a holder memberwithout interrupting the molding of the holder member. Thus, it is possible to avoid deterioration of the dimension accuracy due to the remaining large positioning shape on the holder member. In addition, since the holder memberis integrally molded, it is possible to avoid an increase of the number of components used for the assembling the holder or complicated component shapes of a connecting portion.

An image pickup lens unit, in which a holder body and a cover can be easily connected together, without additional components and a resin flow path for the connection. A lensis positioned in a first holder memberwhich remains in a mold. A second holder memberfor preventing the lensfrom falling off is molded such that it is welded to the first holder member having the lenspositioned therein. This facilitates molding of the second holder memberand joining of the second holder memberto the first holder memberat the same time. Since there is no need to provide a resin flow path for joining the first holder memberand the second holder membertogether, the image pickup lens unit can be made small in size.

Provided is an injection nozzle and a molding apparatus which ensure injection pressure by suppressing resin leakage even when a resin material having a low viscosity is used. In injection molding, it is especially important that the injection nozzle and a fixed die are excellently kept in contact with each other and that the resin is not leaked. Resin leakage from between the injection nozzle and the fixed die lowers molding pressure, increases molding shrinkage of the resin, and directly affects the qualities of a molded product resulting in generation of a sink, transfer failure and the like. Since an O-ring in a circumferential groove of the nozzle closely comes in contact with a concave spherical surface while elastically transforming on the entire circumference, leakage is effectively suppressed even the resin is a heat-curable resin having a low viscosity.

Provided are a structure of molding tools and an injection molding device that can easily perform molding of an optical element even from a resin of low velocity or the like and can suppress any negative effects by air. The structure of the molding tools includes between the molding tools () a fixed molding tool () and a movable molding tool () and an O-ring () for keeping air tightness and a resin seal () for preventing any resin leakage. The O-ring () performs decreasing of the pressure in a cavity (CV) formed by joining the molding tools (), whereby the vacuum molding in which resin supply and resin curing is carried out under a decreased pressure can be performed. Accordingly, the effects such as prevention of air bubbling due to air trapping by injected resin within the cavity (CV) can be attained. Furthermore, the resin seal () can prevent any resin leakage from the molding tools () even when the resin having a low viscosity is used.

The lens unit for the optical pick-up apparatus has: the objective lens by which the projecting light from the light source is condensed on the information recording surface of the optical information recording medium; the phase control element which is arranged on the light source side to the objective lens, and which controls the phase of the projecting light from the light source; and the supporting member holding the objective lens and the phase control element; and the phase control element is held under the condition that its optical axis is inclined by a predetermined angle to the optical axis of the objective lens, and the intersection at which the optical axis of the phase control element crosses the optical surface having the phase structure is arranged on the optical path passing through the central point which passes the optical axis of the objective lens.
