A power-consumption-amount estimation apparatus estimating a power consumption amount of an industrial machine including a motor, a machine driven by the motor, and an amplifier driving the motor, includes: an operation-pattern-information obtaining unit; a dynamics-information obtaining unit; a circuit-information obtaining unit obtaining amplifier information and motor information; and a power-consumption-amount calculation unit executing a process of calculating power of each of the motor and the regenerative resistor based on operation-pattern information, dynamics information, amplifier information, motor information, and a bus voltage simulated value and calculating power of the industrial machine based on the calculated power and execute a process of updating the bus voltage based on the calculated power of each of the motor and the regenerative resistor and the calculated power of the industrial machine, over a specified period, and calculating a power consumption amount of the industrial machine by integrating the calculated power of the industrial machine.

A magnetic pole position detecting device correctly acquires magnetic pole position even if two magnetic sensors are arranged at an arbitrary interval. The magnetic pole position detecting device receives the input of sensor outputs 'a' and 'b' of two magnetic sensors arranged at a predetermined interval L along a magnetic pole arraying direction and a phase difference &#x3c6; between the two sensor outputs &#x201c;a&#x201d; and &#x201c;b&#x201d;. When sin &#x3c6;&#x3e;&#x3b4;, the magnetic pole position detecting device divides a&#xb7;sin &#x3c6; by b&#x2212;a&#xb7;cos &#x3c6; to calculate tan &#x3b8; and outputs a magnetic pole position &#x3b8;=tan{a&#xb7;sin &#x3c6;/(b&#x2212;a&#xb7;cos &#x3c6;)}. When sin &#x3c6;&#x2266;&#x3b4;, because a=sin &#x3b8; and b=cos(&#x3b8;+&#x3c6;), the magnetic pole position detecting device outputs magnetic pole position &#x3b8;={sin(a)+sin(b)&#x2212;&#x3c6;}/2. Because &#x3c6;=2&#x3c0;&#xd7;L/(a magnetic pole pitch or the number of poles), by using &#x3c6; as a correction coefficient for the two sensor outputs &#x201c;a&#x201d; and &#x201c;b&#x201d;, magnetic pole position error can be canceled even when the interval L is different from a theoretical value.
