A curtain airbag bracket mounts a curtain airbag having an attachment piece provided in an edge portion of the curtain airbag to a vehicle body. The curtain airbag bracket includes a vehicle body attaching portion for attaching the curtain airbag bracket to the vehicle body, and an airbag mounting portion for mounting the attachment piece. The airbag mounting portion has a bent portion or a curved portion extending from the vehicle body attaching portion toward an inside of the vehicle body.

A curtain airbag bracket is used to assemble a curtain airbag having an attaching piece, and an inflator connected to the curtain airbag, and to attach the same to a vehicle body. The inflator is connected to the curtain airbag for supplying a pressurized fluid for developing the curtain airbag. The curtain airbag bracket includes an airbag bracket having an airbag-attaching portion for attaching the attaching piece of the curtain airbag to hold the curtain airbag, and an inflator bracket coupled with the airbag bracket for holding the inflator so that the inflator is substantially in parallel with and adjacent to the curtain airbag. The airbag-attaching portion faces the inflator bracket with a gap therebetween.

A curtain airbag having an attaching piece at an edge portion is attached to a vehicle body through a bracket. The bracket includes a plate portion, and a plurality of airbag-attaching portions attached to the plate portion for attaching the attaching piece. The attaching piece of the curtain airbag is selectively attached to one of the plurality of airbag-attaching portions.

The disclosed mounting component and mounting structure may provide an efficient mounting of a folded curtain airbag and/or may prevent movement of the airbag caused by a vehicle member striking the folded curtain airbag. A mounting component and/or mounting structure may include a base piece configured to be attached to the vehicle body and projecting pieces extending from both ends of the base piece for extending over the folded curtain airbag. The base piece and the projecting pieces can be integrated with each other.

Mounting structure for curtain airbag

To facilitate the mounting and removing an automotive air bag system to and from a vehicle body, the air bag system comprises a detachable hinge formed between a part of the air bag housing and a fixed member of a vehicle body, and a releasable latch device provided in the housing. The latch device is adapted to latch onto a striker member integrally formed in the fixed member in a detachable manner. Thus, the mounting of the air bag system can be easily accomplished by first engaging the hinge, and then latching the latch device onto the striker member. The removal of the air bag system can be accomplished equally easily by reversing this process.
