A nonreciprocal circuit device includes a first center electrode and a second center electrode intersecting each other, each having one end thereof grounded, a ferrimagnetic body provided in the vicinity of the first center electrode and the second center electrode, a magnet applying a magnetostatic field to the ferrimagnetic body, a series capacitor connected in series between the other end of the first center electrode and an input terminal and a series capacitor connected in series between the other end of the second center electrode and an output terminal, and a parallel capacitor connected in parallel between the other end of the first center electrode and a ground and a parallel capacitor connected in parallel between the other end of the second center electrode and the ground.

Nonreciprocal circuit device and high-frequency circuit apparatus

In a coaxial connector, signal lines are switched over by mounting and dismounting a probe having a central contact, and fixed yoke terminals, a movable terminal, and a permanent magnet constitute a magnetic circuit. When the probe is dismounted, the contact portions are connected by the magnetic force of the permanent magnet. When the probe is mounted, the contact portions are disconnected against the magnetic force such that the central contact pushes a protrusion portion of the movable terminal.

The invention discloses a nonreciprocal circuit device, a composite electronic component, and a communication apparatus, which can achieve miniaturization and cost reduction while having good characteristics. In the nonreciprocal circuit device, one of a plurality of matching capacitors is connected in series between one of a plurality of central conductors and a port of the central conductor. An end of each of the remaining matching capacitors is connected in parallel to each of the remaining central conductors, and the connecting parts are continued to ports of the remaining central conductors.

An isolator (nonreciprocal circuit device) comprises a ferrite, a permanent magnet applying a direct current magnetic field to the ferrite, a plurality of central electrodes respectively having ports disposed on the ferrite and a single-based matching capacitor with capacitor electrodes formed on both surfaces of a dielectric substrate such that the capacitor electrodes are opposed to each other and sandwich the dielectric substrate. In various embodiments, the permanent magnet and/or; the ferrite has a square shape and the capacitor electrodes of the matching capacitors are arranged at an angle of 60 to 90 degrees with respect a mounting surface and the matching capacitors are disposed so as to surround the sides of the ferrite.

Coaxial connector and method of manufacturing thereof

A nonreciprocal circuit device having a circuit element on a dielectric substrate providing at least part of a low-pass filter, the nonreciprocal circuit device having less interference and irregular operation caused by spurious radiation, and in addition, with reduced insertion loss. A lumped constant isolator (an example of a nonreciprocal circuit device) includes a magnet provided for applying a DC magnetic field to a magnetic assembly, which in turn has multiple intersecting central electrodes provided adjacent to a ferrite body. A dielectric substrate is disposed in between the permanent magnet and the magnetic assembly. An inductor forming part of a &pgr;-type low-pass filter is provided as an example of a circuit element on the dielectric substrate, a dielectric layer or film being disposed between the dielectric substrate and the magnet.

An S/N enhancer is provided which can be formed to be small in size and in which impedance matching can easily be achieved. The S/N enhancer includes two magnetostatic wave elements. First to fourth transducers each in the shape of a single line are disposed on YIG thin films of the magnetostatic wave elements in parallel and spaced from one another. An input terminal is connected to one end of the first transducer. An attenuator is connected between the other end of the first transducer and one end of the third transducer. A 180.degree. shifter and another attenuator are connected in series between one end of the second transducer and one end of the fourth transducer. An output terminal is connected to the other end of the fourth transducer. The other ends of the second and third transducers are respectively grounded.

Magnetostatic wave distributor, synthesizer and S/N enhancer

A nonreciprocal circuit element having low insertion loss is provided. In the circuit element, three central conductors are disposed such that they intersect each other at specified angles in an electrically isolated condition and a DC bias magnetic field is applied to the intersection. The intersection angles formed by the central conductors are set to different values, corresponding to the rotation angle of the high-frequency magnetic field caused by the DC bias magnetic field. A stronger operating DC magnetic field than that in a conventional circuit element is used to reduce a ferrite loss.

Nonreciprocal junction circuit element having different conductor

A compact, low-cost magnetostatic wave device which can serve as an S/N enhancer or a filter. The magnetostatic wave device includes a ferromagnetic base; at least one transducer having a portion arranged adjacent to one surface of the ferromagnetic base and another. portion arranged adjacent to the other surface of the ferromagnetic base; an input terminal with one side connected to one end of the transducer and the other side grounded; and an output terminal with one side connected to the other end of the transducer and the other side grounded. The ferromagnetic base is preferably disk-shaped.

An antenna-integrated strip line cable with which it is possible to improve the performance of a high-frequency appliance such as a portable telephone without making the appliance larger. An antenna-integrated strip line cable 1 is made up of a transmission line part 2, an antenna part 3 and a counterpoise 4. The transmission line part 2 is made up of two conductors 21, 22 disposed in parallel, insulators 23, 24 having plasticity or flexibility disposed between these two conductors 21, 22, and a central conductor 25 disposed between the insulators 23, 24 centrally in the width direction thereof. Wide-pattern impedance matching circuits 26a, 26b are provided in the central conductor 25. The antenna part 3 has portions of the insulator 24 and the central conductor 25 extending from the transmission line part 2. The counterpoise 4 has portions of the insulator 23 and the conductor 21 extending from the transmission line part 2. The counterpoise 4 is perpendicular to the antenna part 3 and the length of the counterpoise 4 is about one-fourth of the wavelength .lambda. of the frequency used. Some benefits of this novel construction are that the number of parts is reduced, the work of connecting a coaxial cable to an antenna is made unnecessary, the counterpoise reduces directivity of the antenna part, the antenna is tough, and it is not necessary to provide an impedance matching circuit externally.

Antenna-integrated strip line cable

A magnetostatic wave device includes a dielectric substrate. Micro strip lines as transducers are formed by forming a ground electrode and strip-line electrodes, on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate. A ferrimagnetic base material formed with a GGG substrate and a YIG thin film on the GGG substrate is arranged on the strip-line electrodes. The ferrimagnetic base material is formed so that the end portions slant from the strip-line electrodes outwardly. The length of the ferrimagnetic base material is established to provide a minimum value.

Magnetostatic wave device having slanted end portions

In a multi-plate high frequency parallel strip-line cable including a strip-shaped dielectric body made of either an electrical insulating material having a flexibility or another electrical insulating material having a plasticity, the dielectric body is composed of a pair of dielectric layers. A pair of thin-film-shaped earth conductors is formed on both surfaces of the dielectric body so as to oppose to each other, and a thin-film-shaped center conductor is formed between the pair of dielectric layers in the dielectric body so as to be located between a pair of earth conductors. Further, a circuit device part such as an impedance adjusting circuit, a filter, an attenuator or the like is formed between a pair of dielectric layers in the dielectric body so as to be electrically connected with the center conductor, thereby the parallel strip-line cable having either a flexibility or a plasticity. Furthermore, a further dielectric body composed a pair of further dielectric layers may be formed on one earth conductor with a further earth conductor formed thereon. In this case, the circuit device part is formed in the further dielectric body.
