A preview road surface detector capable of discontinuing predictive control is provided, which suppresses the energy consumption required to determine whether predictive control should be discontinued. The preview road surface detector includes: a distance sensor provided on a vehicle body member, the distance sensor detecting a value related to a distance between the vehicle body member and a measurement point on a road surface ahead of a vehicle, the measurement point corresponding to at least part of a road surface contact portion of a wheel; and a distance calculator that calculates a road surface distance as the distance from the vehicle body member to the measurement point, based on a detection value detected by the distance sensor, in which the distance sensor is deactivated under a predetermined condition.

Preview road surface detector, suspension controller, and preview road surface detection method

A vehicle includes an electric actuator disposed outside a vehicle body, a batteryand a boosting circuit which supply a high voltage to the electric actuator, and an electric suspension control ECU which controls the boosting circuit and the electric actuator, and in a case where a running speed is equal to or less than a first speed, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator.

Vehicle

A suspension device includes a damper. The damper includes: an outer cylinder; a ball screw housed in the outer cylinder; a fastening member that supports the ball screw inserted therethrough and is attached to an end part of the outer cylinder; and a fixing member that is attached to an end part of the ball screw and fixes the ball screw to the fastening member. An insertion portion, where the ball screw is inserted into the fastening member, is provided with a fitting portion where the ball screw fits the fastening member, and the fitting portion has a spline fitting structure.

Suspension device

A suspension device includes a damper. The damper includes: a ball screw; a ball screw nut screwed with the ball screw; a bearing that rotatably supports a nut unit (nut assembly) provided with the ball screw nut; and a housing that houses the bearing inside. A part between the housing and the bearing in an axial direction is provided with an elastic body.
