An impact load reduction includes: a crash area that is disposed in a front section of the electrically-powered vehicle and configured to deform at a collision; a battery frame that is disposed rearward of the crash area and fixed to a vehicle body frame of the electrically-powered vehicle, the battery frame being configured to support the battery and be engaged with the vehicle body frame in accordance with an inertia force of the collision to be supported from frontward; a load reduction frame that extends in a front-rear direction on a front side of the battery frame and that is disposed in a substantially same plane as the battery frame, the load reduction frame having lower rigidity than the battery frame; and a load absorber that is disposed between the load reduction frame and the battery frame and that has lower rigidity than the battery frame.

Impact load reduction structure

An impact load reduction structure includes a battery frame, a load reduction frame, and a load absorber. The battery frame is fixed to a vehicle body frame of an electrically-powered vehicle and supports a battery. The load reduction frame extends in a front-rear direction on a front side of the battery frame and is disposed in a substantially same plane as the battery frame. The load absorber is disposed between the load reduction frame and the battery frame and absorbs an impact load to be transmitted from the load reduction frame to the battery frame.

An impact load reduction structure includes a battery frame and a load reduction frame. The battery frame is fixed to a vehicle body frame of an electrically-powered vehicle and supports a battery. The load reduction frame is disposed so as to extend in a front-rear direction on a front side of the battery frame. A rear section of the load reduction frame is disposed facing a front section of the battery frame with a predetermined gap therebetween such that the load reduction frame comes into contact with the battery frame when the electrically-powered vehicle is involved in a collision.

There is provided a front vehicle body structure. A radiator panel lower is mounted between front ends of side frames, crash boxes at the front ends of the side frames, and a bumper beam between front ends of the crash boxes. The radiator panel lower includes a bracket offset toward the inside in the vehicle width direction from the side frame. Upon an offset front collision, a shock load is absorbed by an axial compression deformation of one of the crash boxes and a drag of the side frames. Upon a full-overlap front collision, the right and left crash boxes are subjected to the axial compression deformation, and the shock load is input to the bracket, thereby bending the side frames. Accordingly, and a sufficient axial compression deformation of the crash boxes is secured, and the shock load is absorbed by the reduction in the drag of the side frames.
