A method for manufacturing a hydrocarbon compound from carbon dioxide, said method including: (a) a step of preparing an absorption-conversion catalyst that includes an oxide carrier, a first component supported on the oxide carrier and including at least one type of metal selected from the group consisting of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals, and a second component supported on the oxide carrier and including at least one type of metal selected from the group consisting of Ni, Fe, Co, Cu, and Ru; (b) a step of bringing the absorption-conversion catalyst and a carbon dioxide-including gas into contact under higher pressure than atmospheric pressure, and causing the carbon dioxide to be stored in the absorption-conversion catalyst; and (c) a step of bringing the absorption-conversion catalyst that has the carbon dioxide stored therein and a reducing gas into contact under higher pressure than atmospheric pressure, and obtaining the hydrocarbon compound.

Method for manufacturing hydrocarbon compound from carbon dioxide at concentrations including low concentration range

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a high quality biodiesel fuel having excellent oxidation stability and few low-temperature deposits. This purpose can be achieved by the following: hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel so as to selectively convert unsaturated fatty acid monoglycerides and then removing fatty acid monoglycerides through precipitation; or using an adsorbent to further remove fatty acid monoglycerides to a high degree from the biodiesel fuel produced using the method mentioned above.

Method for producing high quality biodiesel fuel

An object of the present invention is to provide a method for hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel for producing a biodiesel fuel having an excellent oxidation stability and cold flow property. The present invention serves to produce a biodiesel fuel excellent in oxidation stability, by hydrogenating a biodiesel fuel with oxygen present in the reaction system in the presence of a catalyst containing at least one type of noble metal selected from metals of Groups 8 to 10 in the periodic table.

Biodiesel fuel hydrogenation method

To provide a catalyst for production of a biodiesel fuel, which is capable of producing a biodiesel fuel with high selectivity, at a high yield, and at a low cost even in the presence of a water content and a free fatty acid, and a biodiesel fuel production method using the catalyst. Use of a titanium-containing mesoporous silica containing Ti and Si as skeleton constituent elements and having a pore diameter of 5 nm or greater as a transesterification catalyst enables a biodiesel fuel to be produced with high selectivity at a high yield through transesterification between an oil and an alcohol.
