A leaning vehicle including a body frame that has a head pipe and a frame member extending rearward from the head pipe, a suspension plate attached to the frame member, and a drive source attached to the suspension plate. The suspension plate includes a first plate and a second plate stacked together in a left-right direction of the leaning vehicle. A dimension of the first plate in a the left-right direction is smaller than a dimension thereof in a front-rear direction of the leaning vehicle and a dimension thereof in an up-down direction of the leaning vehicle. A dimension of the second plate in the left-right direction is smaller than a dimension thereof in the front-rear direction and a dimension thereof in the up-down direction. The first plate and the second plate are in slidable contact with each other.

Leaning vehicle

A motorcycle is disclosed. The motorcycle includes a link member, a coupling rod, a first lever and a second lever. The link member is rotatably connected to a second end of a rear suspension via a first shaft, and is rotatably connected to a rear arm via a second shaft. A second end portion of the coupling rod is connected to a third shaft so as to rotate together with the third shaft. The first lever is connected to the third shaft so as to rotate together with the third shaft. The second lever is rotatably connected to the second shaft, and restricts the rotation of the first lever when engaged with the first lever. The second lever is provided with a torsion spring for providing a force for rotating the second lever around the second shaft.

Motorcycle

A vehicle body frame includes an upper frame, lower frame and a fastening member. The fastening member includes first and second bolts. The first bolt is provided to obliquely cross an axial line of a lower frame end connected to an upper frame end and to fasten the lower frame end to the upper frame end. The second bolt is provided to orthogonally cross the axial line of the lower frame end and fasten the lower frame end to the upper frame end.

Motorcycle and vehicle body frame

A vehicle, such as a motorcycle, has a structure in which strength of a body frame is increased and positional accuracy between members constituting the body frame is improved. A head pipe of the motorcycle can include a pipe portion inside which a steering shaft is disposed, and a wall portion formed rearward of the pipe portion. The wall portion and the pipe portion can be integrally formed by extruding performed in a direction in which the pipe portion extends. Left and right main frames extending rearward can be disposed on the wall portion. The motorcycle can further include a reinforcing member disposed rearward of the wall portion, arranged such that an upper portion thereof is sandwiched by the right and left main frames, and having rest portions on which the right and left main frames are placed.

Frame structure of a vehicle

A body frame for a motorcycle includes a main frame having a reinforcing member, which is a forged product, and a portion that requires a high strength against a shock load transmitted from a road surface. A pair of sidewalls and a connecting wall for connecting the sidewalls are also provided. The sidewalls create spaces opened outward in cross-section such that the connecting wall has an external face positioned in the portion that requires high strength.

Vehicle body frame for motorcycle

Two embodiments of motorcycles having improved frame constructions that are comprised of a head pipe and a pair of downwardly and rearwardly extending main frame members. The frame is further reinforced against loads from the front wheel by means of a center main frame member that is affixed to the head pipe at a point below the pair of main frame members and extends rearwardly therefrom at a different angle from the pair of main frame members but which is affixed to the pair of main frame members by a reinforcing cross member.
