A control device for a vehicle drive device includes performing neutral travel control in which disengagement/engagement elements are disengaged with the wheels rotating so the state of a speed change mechanism is controlled into a neutral state where transfer of a drive force between the input member to the engine and the output member to the wheels is not performed, and the wheels are driven by a rotary electric machine drive force; and comparing an operating state value of each of target actuators that control the state of the disengagement/engagement elements, and a determination value so torque from the speed change mechanism to the wheels because of torque transferred by each of the disengagement/engagement elements, falls within an allowable range during neutral travel control, and determines whether the torque transferred from the speed change mechanism to the wheels falls within the allowable range.

A driving control device for an electric vehicle includes an electric machine which is driven by a current supplied from a battery, a transmission which is coupled with the electric machine and performs shifting at a predetermined gear ratio, a charging state detecting portion which detects an electric variable that shows a charging state of the battery, a fail determination processing device which determines whether the electric variable exceeds a threshold value and makes a fail determination when the electric variable exceeds the threshold value, and a charging control processing device which decreases a rotational speed of the electric machine and reduces the electric variable when the fail determination is made. The fail determination is made to decrease the rotational speed of the electric machine when field weakening control becomes unperformable and the electric variable exceeds the threshold value, which makes it possible to prevent an overcurrent from being supplied to the battery.

The clutch oil pressure (P ) supplied to a hydraulic controller of an automatic transmission is detected. If it is detected that the clutch oil pressure (P ) is less than or equal to a first threshold value P when a first oil pump cooperative with a drive power source is to stop, the second oil pump is driven. Therefore, after the oil pressure (for example, P ) remaining from the first oil pump has decreased, the second oil pump is driven, and an oil pressure (P ) needed for the hydraulic control of friction engagement elements is maintained. If it is detected that the clutch oil pressure (P ) is greater than or equal to a second threshold value (P ) when the first oil pump is to be driven, the second oil pump is stopped. Therefore, the second oil pump is stopped when the oil pressure provided by the first oil pump rises to such a level that the oil pressure (P ) can be secured. Thus, the load on the second oil pump is reduced so as to allow it to be reduced in size.

Oil pump drive control apparatus

The present invention provides a drive control apparatus for driving an electric oil pump by supplying it with a predetermined operating voltage so as to decrease a load on the electric oil pump. The drive control apparatus detects a clutch hydraulic pressure supplied to the hydraulic control apparatus for the automatic transmission and drives the electric oil pump so that a required hydraulic pressure is maintained. In this case, the drive control apparatus detects an oil temperature of the hydraulic control apparatus for the automatic transmission, controls the operating voltage of the electric oil pump based on the oil temperature, and supplies the operating voltage to th electric oil pump. Accordingly, the hydraulic pressure supplied from the electric oil pump maintains the hydraulic pressure required for the hydraulic control of the automatic transmission and prevents supply of a greater hydraulic pressure than is required.

If a torque reduction request is outputted during a speed shift, the amount of motor torque reduction achieved by a motor-generator, of a requested amount of torque reduction, is set to a greatest-possible amount, and the amount of engine torque reduction achieved by an engine is set to a smallest-possible amount. The amount of motor torque reduction is set based on the amount of charges stored (SOC) in a battery device. Control apparatus and method for vehicle having an idle stop function

When a driver depresses an accelerator pedal to request a shift such as a downshift or the like, a maximum shift target changing rate (shift speed) of a CVT having a belt-type continuously variable shift apparatus is set based on the shift inertia of the CVT and the like. An assist torque is set by subtracting the normal torque of an internal combustion engine from a torque needed to achieve the maximum shift target changing rate. The assist torque and the torque outputtable from an electric motor based on the characteristic of the motor are compared. If the assist torque is greater than the motor torque, the target changing rate is restricted by an assist possible rate based on the ratio between the assist torque and the motor torque. The shift of the CVT is controlled by the target changing rate (shift speed). Thus, the apparatus allows a quick speed by assisting with a motor torque and, in a case where the assist torque from the motor is insufficient in quantity, allows a shift at a speed in accordance with the case, thereby resolving the degradation of acceleration feel caused by the shift inertia of the CVT.
