An operation mechanism of a turbocharger includes: a driving member undergoes a reciprocating movement; a link plate rotationally coupled to the driving member through a first hinge-portion, wherein a first rotation-center of the first hinge-portion is moves linearly along a virtual line in a reciprocating manner in response to the reciprocating movement; and an operation lever. The operation lever includes: a first end operates a flow regulator of the turbocharger, wherein a swing center of the operation lever is located at the first end; and a second end rotationally coupled to the link plate through a second hinge-portion including a second rotation-center, wherein the second end is swings relative to the swing center when the first rotation-center moves linearly along the virtual line, and wherein a distance from the swing center to the second rotation-center is shorter than a distance from the swing center to the virtual line.

Operation mechanism of turbocharger

A variable flow rate valve mechanism includes a valve, a lock member, a valve attachment member and a spring washer. The valve includes a valve body and a valve shaft. The lock member is fixed to the valve shaft. The valve attachment member is attached to the valve shaft. The spring washer is disposed adjacent the valve attachment member. The spring washer is formed into an annular shape around an axis of the spring washer. The spring washer includes a support portion, a deformable portion and a protrusion portion. The support portion includes a seat surface and an open surface. The deformable portion is connected to the support portion and extends in an inclined manner. The deformable portion includes a contact surface and an opposite surface. The protrusion portion protrudes from at least one of the open surface of the support portion and the opposite surface of the deformable portion.

Spring washer for a variable flow rate valve mechanism

A centrifugal compressor includes an impeller which includes a front surface, a back surface, and a side surface; a first wall portion which includes a first wall surface facing the front surface and forming a flow passage; a second wall portion which includes a second wall surface facing the back surface and the first wall surface; and a protruding wall portion which is provided at an outside in a radial direction in relation to the side surface of the impeller. The protruding wall portion includes a third wall surface extending from the second wall surface in the axial direction and facing the side surface of the impeller. The third wall surface further extends toward the first wall surface in the axial direction from a connection portion between the front surface and the side surface. The third wall surface and the side surface form a second gap therebetween.

Centrifugal compressor

A valve seat member, which partitions between a supply passage and a pressurizing chamber, includes an inner flow path, which communicates between the supply passage and the pressurizing chamber, and an outer flow path, which is placed on a radially outer side of the inner flow path. An inner valve is seatable against an inner valve seat formed in an opening of the inner flow path. An outer valve is contactable with an end surface of the inner valve, which is opposite from the inner valve seat. The outer valve is seatable against an outer valve seat, which is formed in an opening of the outer flow path.

High pressure pump

A valve seat member which partitions between a supply passage and a pressurizing chamber, includes an inner flow path, which communicates between the supply passage and the pressurizing chamber, and an outer flow path, which is placed on a radially outer side of the inner flow path. An inner valve is seatable against inner valve seat formed in an opening of the inner flow path. An outer valve is contactable with an end surface of the inner valve, which is opposite from the inner valve seat. The outer valve is seatable against an outer valve seat, which is formed in an opening of the outer flow path.

Between a movable core chamber and a fuel supply passage, a needle guide slidably supports a needle fixed to a movable core. The needle guide has a communication hole which fluidly connects the movable core chamber and the fuel supply passage. An opening sectional area of the communication hole is defined in such a manner that a fuel discharged amount decreases as an energization start time of a coil is delayed. In a suction stroke, it is restricted that the movable core and the needle bounce toward the fixed core after the needle biases a suction valve toward a stopper by means of a biasing force of a second spring. A relationship between the energization start time of the coil and the fuel discharged amount is properly maintained, so that the fuel discharged amount of the high-pressure pump can be controlled correctly.

High-pressure pump

In an injection hole plate of a fuel injection apparatus, a second-side hole section of each injection hole extends from a downstream end of a base wall of the injection hole plate and is communicated with first-side hole sections, which extends from an upstream end of the wall of the injection hole plate to an axially intermediate point of the wall. The first-side hole sections may discharge fuel into the second-side hole section in a manner that forms a swirl fuel flow in the second-side hole section. The injection hole plate may includes a collision portion, in which fuel flows supplied from the first-side hole sections collide with one another.

Injection hole plate and fuel injection apparatus having the same

There is provided a fuel injection valve in which nozzle holes are formed on a metering plate and fuel flowing on a face of the metering plate on the upstream side is injected outside of a face of the metering plate on the downstream side through the nozzle holes. The fuel injection valve includes a vortex flow generator means for changing a flow of fuel passing in each nozzle hole into a vortex flow, wherein the vortex flow generator means is provided on the upstream side of the metering plate. The vortex flow means is a vortex flow generator groove provided on an upper face of the metering plate and connected with a wall face of an entrance of the nozzle hole, and a main stream of fuel flowing in the groove is directed to a position shifted from the center of the nozzle hole. Alternatively, the vortex flow means is a protrusion formed on an upper face of the metering plate. A flow of fuel is changed into a vortex flow in the nozzle hole and injected from the nozzle hole. Therefore, fuel can be excellently atomized and diffused as a megaphone-shape without being formed into a liquid column spray.

Fuel injection valve

At least one of a center electrode tip and a ground electrode tip is made of an iridium alloy. A discharge gap, formed between the center electrode tip and the ground electrode tip, is less than 1.1 mm. And, cross sections of the center electrode tip and the ground electrode tip are equal to or smaller than 0.95 mmin a spherical region where a distance from a midpoint of the discharge gap is within 0.6 mm.

Spark plug and ignition apparatus

At least one of a center electrode tip and a ground electrode tip is made of an iridium alloy. A discharge gap, formed between the center electrode tip and the ground electrode tip, is less than 1.1 mm. And, cross sections of the center electrode tip and the ground electrode tip are equal to or smaller than 0.95 mm in a spherical region where a distance from a midpoint of the discharge gap is within 0.6 mm.

The present invention provides a structure of a semiconductor device, the structure comprising: a compound semiconductor multi-layer structure having at least a channel region; and at least an ohmic contact layer provided adjacent to a first side face of the multi-layer structure, and the ohmic contact layer being in contact with at least a part of the first side face, wherein the ohmic contact layer has a top extending portion which extends in contact with a part of a top surface of the multi-layer structure.

Compound semiconductor field effect transistor with improved ohmic contact layer structure and method of forming the same

The present invention provides a field effect transistor (FET) having, on a semi-insulating compound semiconductor substrate, a buffer layer; an active layer that includes a channel layer made of a first conductive-type epitaxial growth layer (e.g. InGaAs); source/drain electrodes formed on a first conductive-type contact layer which is formed either on said active layer or on a lateral face thereof; a gate layer made of a second conductive-type epitaxial growth layer (e.g. p -GaAs); and a gate electrode formed on said gate layer; which further has, between said second conductive-type gate layer and said channel layer, a semiconductor layer (e.g. InGaP) that rapidly lowers the energy of the valance band spreading from said gate layer to said channel layer. The present invention improves withstand voltage characteristic of a FET having a pn junction in a gate region (JFET) and realizes stable operations of a JFET.

Compound semiconductor field effect transistor

An ignition device sets a total discharge period, each discharge period and each intermittent period of a multiple discharge are set by a control map in addition to the setting of a throttle opening, fuel injection timing, fuel injection period and ignition timing for the range of non-stratified charge combustion, when a direct injection-type engine operates in the range of stratified charge combustion. Ignition signals including a plurality of rises and falls are outputted in time with a specific ignition timing after fuel injection. Thus a plurality of sparks are generated from the spark plug, ensuring reliable ignition in response to changes in the concentration of sprayed fuel within the operation range for stratified charge combustion.

Spark ignition device for direct injection-type engines

To excellently grow flame kernel while lowering breakdown voltage, a bypass electrode comprising a semiconductor material is installed in a path bypassing an inductive spark gap between a center electrode and a ground electrode, and the center electrode and the ground electrode are electrically connected by the bypass electrode and capacitive discharge is carried out by applying breakdown voltage between the center electrode and the ground electrode via the bypass electrode, and thereafter, inductive discharge is carried out through the inductive spark gap.
