A light source device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a light source unit including a base member on which mounting substrates on which first and second light emitting elements are mounted are placed, a wavelength conversion unit including a wavelength conversion wheel configured to emit wavelength-converted light and a wheel housing configured to house the wavelength conversion wheel, and an optical unit including a condensing optical system configured to condense light emitted from the first and second light emitting elements on the wavelength conversion wheel, a pickup optical system configured to pick up the wavelength-converted light, and an optical housing. The condensing optical system includes a first lens on which the light emitted from the first light emitting element is directly made incident and an optical-path changing member configured to make the light emitted from the second light emitting element incident on the first lens.

Light source device and projector

A light source device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a light source unit, a wavelength conversion unit including a wavelength conversion wheel, and a wheel housing configured to expose a part of the wavelength conversion wheel and house the wavelength conversion wheel, and an optical unit including a condensing optical system, a pickup optical system, and an optical housing. The light source unit and the optical unit are fixed in a sealed state. In the optical unit and the wavelength conversion unit, a part of the wavelength conversion wheel exposed via a first opening section of the wheel housing is disposed on an optical path between the condensing optical system and the pickup optical system. The second opening section of the optical housing and the first opening section of the wheel housing are fixed in a sealed state.

A light source apparatus includes first and second optical elements, a support member to which the elements are fixed and supported, a first heat dissipation member to which the first optical element is connected, a second heat dissipation member to which heat of the second optical element is transferred, a heat transport member transporting the heat of the second optical element to the second heat dissipation member, and a cooling fan sending a cooling gas to the first and second heat dissipation members. The first heat dissipation member is on the opposite side from the direction toward which the light outputted from the first optical element travels. The second heat dissipation member is adjacent to the first heat dissipation member with a gap. The second heat dissipation member overlaps with the first heat when viewed along a flow direction of the cooling gas sent thereto.

Light source apparatus and projector

A diffusion apparatus includes a diffuser, a substrate to which the diffuser is fixed, and a first lens that has a curved surface and a flat surface located on the side opposite the curved surface and is so fixed to the substrate as to face the diffuser. The substrate includes a first recess having a first bottom surface and a first side surface that rises from the first bottom surface and a second recess having a second bottom surface connected to the first side surface and a second side surface that rises from the second bottom surface. The first lens is so disposed in the second recess that the flat surface is in contact with the second bottom surface. The diffuser is fixed to the first bottom surface.
