An endoscope apparatus capable of transmitting an endoscope image as an optical signal includes: an electronic component that includes a reception circuit configured to receive an electric signal outputted from an image pickup device and supply the electric signal to a conversion device; a printed board provided with the electronic component; a shielding member that covers at least the reception circuit; a first path via a ground connection line that is provided for the electronic component, and electrically connects the shielding member to a ground; and a second path via a conductive portion that electrically connects the shielding member to the ground, wherein an impedance of the second path is lower than an impedance of the first path.

An endoscope power supply system includes an endoscope including an imaging unit that images an object, a housing apparatus to which the endoscope is detachably connected, a plurality of power source units that are provided in the housing apparatus and configured to output electric power different from one another, switches each provided in an output stage of each of the power source units of the housing apparatus and formed of two FETs that are back-to-back connected, and a controller that is provided in the housing apparatus, selects a power source unit necessary to operate the endoscope from the power source units, and controls the switches to output electric power generated by the selected power source unit to the endoscope.

An endoscope system includes an endoscope including a CCD for generating an image pickup signal, and a processor including a video processing circuit. The processor includes: a VCXO that generates a reference clock signal; a PLL circuit that synchronizes a phase of the image pickup signal to be inputted and a phase of the reference clock signal; a synchronization detection circuit that detects whether the phase of the image pickup signal synchronizes with the phase of the reference clock signal; and a multiplexer that controls the video processing circuit, on the basis of the detection result by the synchronization detection circuit, to cause the video processing circuit to output a predetermined video when a non-phase-synchronized state is detected, and to cause the video processing circuit to output a video signal obtained by processing the image pickup signal by the video processing circuit when a phase-synchronized state is detected.

An endoscopic image processing apparatus includes an endoscope information reading section that reads endoscope information that is information relating to an endoscope from the endoscope, a synchronizing signal detecting section that is given an image pickup signal that includes a synchronizing signal outputted by an image pickup device provided in the endoscope from the endoscope, performs detection processing of the synchronizing signal, outputs the detected synchronizing signal when the synchronizing signal can be detected, and generates and outputs a synchronizing signal based on the endoscope information read by the endoscope information reading section when the synchronizing signal cannot be detected, and an image signal generating section that generates an image signal based on the synchronizing signal outputted from the synchronizing signal detecting section and the image pickup signal outputted from the image pickup device of the endoscope.
