A cooperation system in cooperation with a cloud system includes: a server connected to a local network; and an image processing apparatus connected to the local network, the image processing apparatus being configured to send processing-target data to the server, and to receive processed data from the server, the processed data being obtained by processing the processing-target data by one of the server and the cloud system.

Cooperation system

The present invention includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses connected to a network, and a server which controls the operation state of the image forming apparatuses via the network. The image forming apparatuses are operable in a normal operation mode and in one of plural power-saving modes with different power consumption. The server individually sets the operation mode of the image forming apparatuses in accordance with a preset power-saving operation policy, and controls the image forming apparatuses so that each of the image forming apparatuses operates in the preset operation mode in each predetermined time band.

A network print system includes at least one host and plural printers, and a communication network that connects the host and the printers. In each printer, a host is selected in which print data is generated, a request is made to the host to be transmitted the print data, and a document is printed based on the received print data. In the host, plural print data is stored, and respective owners of the plural print data are set on the basis of the identification data allotted per each user. Also, in the host, a determination is made as to whether a person who has requested the print data to be transmitted is the owner of the print data, and if so, the print data is transmitted to the printer.

Network print system for allowing a printer or printers to select a host

An apparatus relates to the switching of the flow of image data so as to optimize the data flow in accordance with the connection state of the respective optional boards of a PM unit, a FAX unit, a PRT unit, and an HDD unit. The flow of image data can be switched to optimize the data flow depending on the connection state of various optional boards.

In a multifunction image processing apparatus, a CPU uses a QNT/PM, as used for copying and editing, to store image data received by a facsimile controller during a time zone when the apparatus is not used for other than facsimile reception, as in the night. In initiating an operation other than facsimile reception, such as copying, the CPU allows the image data retained in the QNT/PM to be printed out by a laser printer. In the event of failure to print, or in the case of confidential data, the image data is stored/retained in a file memory in a facsimile controller.

In a composite digital copying machine of a plain paper copying machine, a printer, and a facsimile apparatus, when the machine is operated as a printer for printing out document data of codes created by a wordprocessor, an internally obtained data image is compressed and stored, as image data, in a hard disk simultaneously with print processing of the data. When this printout is to be copied later, the original image data is searched or retrieved to be printed without scanning the printout.

A network print system includes a host having the function to generate print data, a printer that processes printing on the basis of a specified print data, and a communication network that connect the printer and the host so that they can communicate with each other. The printer of the network print system carries out send request of desired print data to the host, and receives print data corresponding to the send request, and thereby executes print processing in accordance with the print data. Further, the host includes a memory to store the print data, and sends the print data stored in the memory to the printer that has carried out a send request of print data when the send request of the print data is carried out in the printer through the communication network.

Document information input by a scanner is stored in a disk storage device. Document identification information of plural document information items stored in the disk storage device is printed on a list-format retrieval sheet by a printer. The document identification information of document information newly registered in the disk storage device is printed by the printer on a vacant area of an already output retrieval sheet.

An image forming system with security includes a receiving section to receive print data with data showing secrecy attached from external equipment, a page memory to store image data rasterized from the print data received by the receiving section, transmit section to transmit termination data showing the termination of the rasterizing operation and an input section to input data specifying the image data. The image forming system further includes an image forming section to form image on paper based on the image data stored in the page memory when specific data is input by the input section after the transmit section transmits the termination data.

Image forming system with security function

An image forming apparatus has a function for recognizing a sorting mode, a function of recognizing a copy specification, a function of storing an original image, and a function of rotating this stored image. The apparatus has a function of alternately outputting sets of copy sheets in an angular difference of about 90.degree. in accordance with the copy specifications. An operator can discriminate the sets of copy sheets from each other using landscape and portrait copy sheets without using a mechanical sorter mechanism. When a binding unit is added to this image forming apparatus, the apparatus has a function of reversing the reading order of the pages of each set to reproduce the images and alternately binding and outputting the copy sheets at an angular interval of about 90.degree. in units of sets.

Image forming apparatus having electronic sorting by image rotation

An apparatus for printing an image which is stored on an optical disk is read by a scanner. A plurality of images read out from the optical disk are edited to form an abstract image on the basis of a predetermined unit (e.g., one page), and code data (i.e., retrieval data) is added to the abstract image. The resultant image, including both the abstract image and the code data, is printed on a sheet. The code data is extracted from the printed image, and desired images are retrieved from the optical disk on the basis of the code data.

Image forming apparatus with filing function which can store image data

A data processing system for transmitting image data to a plurality of external apparatus, includes a facsimile communication function for transmitting the image data to the external apparatus, a network communication function for transmitting the image data to the external apparatus and a memory for storing selection data to select one of the facsimile communiation function and the network communication function to which image data is to be transmitted corresponding to a destination name. The selection data are corresponded to the destination name. The selection data are read out from the memory for transmitting the image data to one of the facsimile communication function and the network communication function designated by this selection data.
