Provided is: an organopolysiloxane cured film that is superior as a thin film and, in terms of flatness, has significantly superior smoothness and flatness at the film surface, in addition to generally having high dielectric breakdown strength against a load voltage; along with a usage and manufacturing method therefor. The organopolysiloxane cured film, in which an arithmetic average height (Sa) of the film surface is less than 0.50 μm, while an average thickness at the center of the film is within a range of 1 to 20 μm. It is possible to obtain such a film by a manufacturing method including a die coating step in which a slot die is used to coat a curable organopolysiloxane composition on a continuously traveling substrate supported between a pair of support rolls by means of a tension support system.

Organopolysiloxane cured product film and usage, manufacturing method, and manufacturing apparatus therefor

Provided is a curable organopolysiloxane composition for forming a film capable of uniform and thin film formation, and a method of manufacturing an organopolysiloxane cured film using the same. The curable organopolysiloxane composition for forming a film, comprises: a curing reactive organopolysiloxane, a curing agent, and one or more type of organic solvent selected from (D1) organic polar solvents, (D2) low molecular weight siloxane solvents, and (D3) halogen solvents, or a mixed solvent thereof. The viscosity of the entire composition measured at a shear rate of 0.1 (s) at 25° C. is 100,000 mPa·s or less, the viscosity of the entire composition measured at a shear rate of 10.0 (s) is within a range of 5 to 10,000 mPa·s, and a thixotropic ratio thereof is 25.0 or less.

An optical member resin sheet has excellent characteristics as an optical member and exhibits excellent performance even if used for a light-emitting device or the like. The optical member resin sheet is characterized in that the difference between the thickness of an end of the sheet and the thickness of the center of the sheet in the width direction of the sheet is within 5.0% of the total film thickness of the sheet; in that the thickness of the center of the sheet is in the range of 10-1000 μm; in that the sheet area is 225 mmor more; and by containing at least one fluorescent substance or reflective material.

This disclosure provides an electronic device member that is superior in ease of handling, without any loss of flatness or performance (e.g. flexibility and dielectric properties) despite being a dielectric sheet having a dielectric polymer cured material that is physically fragile. Disclosed herein is a layered body including (L1) a single layer or multiple layers of a high dielectric sheet that includes a polymer cured material having a dielectric functional group, and at least one (L2) pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and in general further having (L3) an electrode layer and/or (L4) a non-silicone thermoplastic resin layer, and uses thereof.

Multilayer structure and uses thereof

An organopolysiloxane cured film which can be made thin, has an extremely low number of defects on a surface and inside of the film, and exhibits high dielectric breakdown strength with regard to a load voltage is provided. Also provided are applications thereof and a method of manufacturing. The organopolysiloxane cured film has an average thickness within a range of 1 to 200 &#x3bc;m. In general, the number of surface defects is 0 to 1, and the number of internal defects is 0 to 20, when measuring the number of surface defects using optical means in an arbitrary position on the organopolysiloxane cured film with a unit area of 15 mm&#xd7;15 mm. The organopolysiloxane cured film may be obtained by a rolling step in a clean room or the like, or may be obtained by curing between separators provided with a release layer.

A flexible laminate, in which it is possible to achieve both flexibility and durability, is disclosed. A flexible display using the flexible laminate is also disclosed. The flexible laminate includes one or more units of a laminate structure in which two hard layers interposing one or more intermediate layers therebetween are bonded together as one unit. The intermediate layer has viscoelasticity. When the flexible laminate is bent, a neutral plane is formed in each inner portion of the hard layers that are bonded together to interpose the intermediate layer therebetween.

A flexible laminate for which increased flexibility and improved durability can coexist, and a flexible display provided with same, are disclosed. The flexible laminate has at least one unit of a laminated structure in which two hard layers closely adhere to each other with at least one intermediate layer therebetween. When the flexible laminate is bent, neutral planes are formed inside each of the hard layers that closely adhere to each other with the intermediate layer therebetween. The flexible laminate satisfies the following expression: a&#xd7;ln(tan &#x3b4;&#xd7;E/0.01)&#x2265;100. In the expression, a is any value ranging from 200 to 2,000, tan &#x3b4; represents a loss factor for a substance configuring the intermediate layer, and Erepresents an elastic modulus (MPa) of the substance configuring the intermediate layer.

An optical element comprises an antireflective layer that is disposed on and in contact with a substrate. The antireflective layer has a refractive index of greater than 1 to less than 1.41 and has a pore size ranging from greater than 0 to less than 300 nm. The antireflective layer includes an outermost surface having a water contact angle ranging from greater than or equal to 70&#xb0; to less than or equal to 120&#xb0; as determined using ASTM 5946-04.
