There is provided a structure for a filling section of a fuel filler pipe which communicates with and connects between a filling port for inserting a nozzle of a filling gun and a fuel tank for reserving a fuel. The fuel filler pipe includes a straight pipe section which extends from the filling port to a fuel tank side and which inclines downward relative to a horizontal direction. The straight pipe section includes a capless mechanism section including a shutter to open or close the filling port. The straight pipe section includes on the filling port side thereof an end surface which inclines relative to a cross section of the straight pipe in a direction of a main body surface of a lid section closed that is provided on a panel member of a vehicle body. This structure realizes convenience in refilling and a compact size of the adapter.

Structure for filling section of fuel filler pipe

A flap valve mechanism in an open-close device for fuel tank includes an open-close member, a shaft support mechanism, a spring and a gasket. The shaft support mechanism includes bearing members and a rotation restricting mechanism. The rotation restricting mechanism includes restricting elements and restricted elements to be engaged with the restricting elements. At a first position, the restricting elements are engaged with the restricted elements, so that the open-close member is moved in a direction of warping the gasket. At a second position, the restricting elements are disengaged from the restricted elements, so that the open-close member is rotated about shaft members.

Fuel tank opening and closing device

A wave suppression structure for a fuel tank is provided in which a wave suppression member () disposed in the interior of a tank main body of the fuel tank is formed from a basket-shaped container () and cylindrical porous members (), the basket-shaped container () being formed from two members, first and second half bodies (L,R), two of the porous members () being supported in the interior of each of the first and second half bodies (L,R), wherein the wave supporting member () is supported on a fuel suction pipe () by joining the first and second half bodies (L,R) of the basket-shaped container () so as to sandwich a fuel suction pipe () between a through hole () thereof. This enables attachment of the wave suppression member () to the fuel suction pipe () to be completed without carrying out a cumbersome operation of inserting the fuel suction pipe () through the through hole () of the basket-shaped container () or the interior of the porous member (), thereby greatly improving the ease of attachment.

Wave suppression structure for fuel tank

A fuel introducing member is connected to an opening end of a siphon pipe forming a fuel tank. The fuel introducing member has an opening for introducing fuel within the tank, and the opening is formed in the upper surface of a cover section. A lid body is pivotably mounted to the upper surface. When the opening is above the level of fuel, the lid body closes the opening by the weight of the lid body, and when the opening is below the level of the fuel, the lid body floats in the fuel to open the opening. The opening is located below the upper end of the inner diameter of the opening end of the siphon pipe.

Fuel tank

A device for preventing a fueling error reliably prevents a fueling error by accurately preventing an insertion of a small-diameter nozzle without blocking an insertion of a large-diameter nozzle whose entrance should be permitted. Even if an end of a nozzle is strongly pressed to left-and-right shutter members (), the shutter members () never rotate and move in an opening direction unless the shutter members () slide and move to an outside of a radial direction. Thus, the structure prevents the shutter members () from erroneously moving to a position in which the nozzle is allowed to enter from a blocking position.

Device for preventing fueling error

A fuel filler apparatus of a vehicle of the invention, during normal operation, only permits insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles of a diameter within a predefined range, and prevents insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles whose diameter is smaller a lowest value or larger than a highest value of this range. The fuel filler apparatus includes a manual operation override mechanism which by a manual operation permits the insertion of only fuel dispensing nozzles of a diameter smaller than the lowest value of the range under special circumstances.

A wave absorbing member including a cage-shaped container housing a sponge that imparts resistance to the passing of fuel is arranged inside a tank body. Therefore, an impact by collision of the fuel can be absorbed, noise caused by undulation of the fuel can be reduced, and violent undulation of a fuel level can be effectively suppressed by the wave absorbing member. The wave absorbing member is supported by a pipe that is arranged inside the tank body and passes through a through hole formed in the container. A movement restricting member is provided on the pipe to limit movement of the wave absorbing member along the pipe. Therefore, the wave absorbing member is reliably positioned along the pipe and within the tank body with a simple structure.

Wave absorbing structure for fuel tank

A fuel tank includes a first fuel chamber for receiving liquid fuel; a communication chamber communicated with the first fuel chamber and having a bottom higher than a bottom of the first fuel chamber; and a second fuel chamber communicated with the communication chamber, the second fuel chamber having a bottom lower than the bottom of the communication chamber. The fuel tank also includes a sleeve member having a lower end opening toward the bottom of the communication chamber, and configured so that fuel evaporative emissions are discharged while liquid fuel is supplied to the first fuel chamber. The first fuel chamber, the communication chamber, and the second fuel chamber are all molded integrally by resin blow molding. The communication chamber is provided with a protrusion which is convex when viewed from inside the communication chamber, and a depression which is concave when viewed from outside of the communication chamber.

Fuel tank device

To a canister assembly to be installed in a vehicle body having a differential device mounted on a rear part thereof without reducing the space above a floor panel while ensuring an adequate adsorption chamber volume. The canister assembly () comprises a first adsorption chamber () for adsorbing fuel vapor introduced from a fuel tank (); a second adsorption chamber () for adsorbing fuel vapor introduced from the first adsorption chamber; and a chamber communication pipe () for communicating the first adsorption chamber with the second adsorption chamber; wherein the first adsorption chamber and second adsorption chamber are provided separately from each other on either side of the differential device.

Vapor storage canister arrangement

A vehicle fuel supply device including a saddle-shaped fuel tank comprised of a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber. A reservoir is disposed within the main chamber. A main pump is provided within the reservoir. A sub-pump is detachably provided within the reservoir. The fuel in the reservoir is drawn up by an operation of the main pump to supply fuel to an engine. A portion of the drawn-up fuel is utilized to generate a negative pressure, the negative pressure is utilized to transfer the fuel in the auxiliary chamber to the reservoir, and the negative pressure is utilized to introduce the fuel in the main chamber into the reservoir.

Vehicle fuel supply device

An on board refueling vapor recovery system includes a first fuel vapor passage for connecting a fuel tank with a canister, a second fuel vapor passage for connecting an inlet portion of a fuel filler pipe with the fuel vapor passage (a tank main body) and a check valve in the second fuel vapor passage. The check valve is integrated with a first quick connector of a resin hose (a resin tube) which constitutes the second fuel vapor passage. Therefore, the number of man hours required for assembling the on board refueling vapor recovery system can be reduced. In addition, the space required for installing any of the on board refueling vapor recovery system can also be reduced. Furthermore, the amount of released fuel evaporative emissions or fuel evaporative emissions can be reduced.

Canister mounting structure

A refueling pipe structure of a fuel tank includes a tank body, and an a refueling pipe which is connected to the tank body to extend upwardly therefrom. The refueling pipe is provided at its upper end with a refueling port into which a refueling nozzle can be inserted. The structure includes a flow direction limiting device mounted within the refueling pipe in the vicinity of the refueling port for guiding a fuel flow from a tip end of the refueling nozzle toward an inner surface of the refueling pipe, while limiting the fuel flow in a gyrate direction along the inner surface of the refueling pipe. Thus, the generation of evaporated fuel within the refueling pipe during refueling can be inhibited, and fuel can be smoothly introduced into the tank body.

Refueling pipe structure in fuel tank

A dust filter unit for a canister is provided. An inlet port and an outlet port are formed in a housing and opening into the atmosphere. A communication port is formed in the housing and leading to the canister. A filter is arranged within the housing at a location between the inlet port and the output port. A first one-way valve is arranged within the housing at a location between the communication port and the outlet port, for allowing evaporative fuel to flow from the communication port to the outlet port. A second one-way valve is arranged within the housing at a location between the filter and the communication port, for allowing fresh air to flow from the filter to the communication port. Thus, the inlet port, outlet port, communication port, and first and second one-way valves are all provided in one piece within the housing.

Dust filter unit for canisters

A canister system is installed in a vehicle having a body having a substantially closed space defined therein, and a subframe mounted on the body and having a substantially closed space defined therein. An air intake passage is connected to a canister for drawing and delivering fresh air into the canister, and an air exhaust passage is connected to the canister for exhausting air resulting from removal of evaporative fuel components from an evaporative fuel-air mixture by adsorption of the evaporative fuel components by the canister into the atmosphere. An open end of the air intake passage remote from the canister is formed in the body of the vehicle, and an open end of the air exhaust passage remote from the canister is formed in the subframe.
