A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a method for producing an active material wherein a volume variation due to charge/discharge is reduced. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a method for producing an active material, the method comprising steps of: a preparing step of preparing a LiSi precursor including a Si element and a Li element, and a void forming step of forming a void by extracting the Li element from the LiSi precursor by using a Li extracting solvent, and the LiSi precursor includes a crystal phase of LiSi.

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a stacked battery in which an unevenness of short circuit resistance among a plurality of cells is suppressed. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a stacked battery comprising: a plurality of cells in a thickness direction, wherein the plurality of cells are electrically connected in parallel; each of the plurality of cells includes a cathode current collector, a cathode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, an anode active material layer, and an anode current collector, in this order; the stacked battery includes a surface-side cell that is located on a surface side of the stacked battery, and a center-side cell that is located on a center side rather than the surface-side cell; and a contact resistance between the cathode current collector and the anode current collector in the surface-side cell is more than a contact resistance between the cathode current collector and the anode current collector in the center-side cell.

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a stacked battery in which the unevenness of short circuit resistance among a plurality of cells is suppressed. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a stacked battery comprising: a plurality of cells in a thickness direction, wherein the plurality of cells are electrically connected in parallel; each of the plurality of cells includes a cathode current collector, a cathode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, an anode active material layer, and an anode current collector, in this order; the stacked battery includes a surface-side cell that is located on a surface side of the stacked battery, and a center-side cell that is located on a center side rather than the surface-side cell; and the surface-side cell and the center-side cell satisfy at least one of: condition i) an elongation rate of the cathode current collector in the surface-side cell is less than an elongation rate of the cathode current collector in the center-side cell; and condition ii) an elongation rate of the anode current collector in the surface-side cell is less than an elongation rate of the anode current collector in the center-side cell.

Provided is a method for manufacturing an active material composite powder by which an active material composite powder that can inhibit increase in its reaction resistance at a high voltage state can be manufactured. The method includes: spraying a solution containing lithium and a peroxo complex of niobium to an active material, and at the same time drying the solution; carrying out a heating treatment, after the spraying and drying, for obtaining a powder including the active material and a coating layer attached to a surface of the active material; producing a mixed liquid by mixing the powder and a solvent that can dissolve lithium nitrate and does not dissolve lithium niobate included in the coating layer obtained by the heat treatment, and stirring the mixed liquid; and carrying out, after the mixing and stirring, a solid-liquid separation on the mixed liquid; and drying a solid obtained by the separation.

Provided is an active material composite powder with which resistance can be reduced, and a method for manufacturing the active material composite powder. The active material composite powder includes an active material and lithium niobate attached onto the surface of the active material, and its BET specific surface area S [m/g] is 0.93&#x3c;S&#x3c;1.44, and the method for manufacturing an active material composite powder includes a spraying and drying step of spraying a solution including lithium and a peroxo complex of niobium onto the active material and at the same time drying the solution, and a heating treatment step of carrying out a heating treatment after the spraying and drying step, wherein the temperature of the heating treatment is higher than 123&#xb0; C. and lower than 350&#xb0; C.

A method for producing an active material composite for all-solid-state lithium secondary batteries, the active material composite having a lithium niobate-containing coating layer on an active material surface, and the production method being able to decrease the content of a nitrogen element derived from a niobic acid raw material in the coating layer of the active material composite thus produced, and to decrease the reaction resistance of an all-solid-state lithium battery using the active material composite. The active material composite production method may comprise: preparing a coating liquid containing a peroxo complex of niobium and a lithium element, by use of a niobic acid in which a content of a nitrogen element contained as an impurity is 0.1% by mass or less, and forming the lithium niobate-containing coating layer on the active material surface by use of the coating liquid.
