A motor-driven compressor includes a compression mechanism, an electric motor, an inverter, a housing, and a cover defining an accommodation chamber with the housing to accommodate the inverter. The cover includes a plate-shaped body wall and insertion holes extending through a periphery of the body wall. The body wall includes a first surface opposed to the inverter in the accommodation chamber, a second surface, a first thickness portion having a first thickness, and a second thickness portion located around at least one of the insertion holes. The second thickness portion has a second thickness that is smaller than the first thickness and is obtained by recessing the body wall from the first surface toward the second surface.

Motor-driven compressor

A scroll compressor is provided. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when the compression chamber is formed and compression of fluid is initiated is referred to as an orbiting initiation angle. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when the compression of the fluid is completed is referred to as an orbiting termination angle. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when an end of the orbiting spiral wall initiates contact with the arcuate portion of the fixed spiral wall before compression is completed is referred to as a distal end contact initiation angle. The formation point distance reaches a minimum value at least at one of a first orbiting angle or a second orbiting angle.

Scroll compressor

A first header tank and a second header tank of a cold-storage heat exchanger are located away from each other. Refrigerant tubes include refrigerant passages through which the first header tank and the second header tank communicate with each other. The refrigerant tubes are spaced away from each other. Cold energy containers storing cold energy storage members are provided to close air passage portions defined between the refrigerant pipes. A region including the air passage portions are separated into a first region including a center part of the region and a second region that is remaining part of the region. A proportion of the cold energy containers in the second region is larger than that in the first region.

Cold-storage heat exchanger

An air conditioner includes a circulation flow channel in which a refrigerant circulates, an evaporator provided in the circulation flow channel to cool air by heat exchange with the refrigerant passing through the circulation flow channel, a first cold storage unit provided in the evaporator at a position adjacent to a tube in which the refrigerant flows in the evaporator, and a second cold storage unit provided in the circulation flow channel at a position different from the evaporator. The first cold storage unit is configured to store therein a first cold storage material which changes in phase by the heat exchange with the refrigerant passing through the tube, and the second cold storage unit is configured to store therein a second cold storage material which changes in phase by the heat exchange with the refrigerant passing through the circulation flow channel.

Air conditioner

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when a compression chamber is formed and compression of fluid is initiated is referred to as an orbiting initiation angle. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when the compression of the fluid is terminated is referred to as an orbiting termination angle. An orbiting angle of the orbiting scroll when an end of the orbiting spiral wall initiates contact with an arcuate portion of the fixed spiral wall is referred to as a distal end contact initiation angle. The formation point distance is a peak in at least one of orbiting angles obtained by subtracting integer multiples of 360&#xb0; from an orbiting angle in a range from the distal end contact initiation angle to the orbiting termination angle.

A regenerative heat exchanger includes a refrigerant pipe, a regenerator, and an air passage fin. The air passage fin is disposed in an air passage defined outside of the refrigerant pipe and the regenerator, and is thermally connected with the regenerator directly or through the refrigerant pipe. At least one of the regenerator and the air passage fin is configured such that a thermal resistance between a part of a regenerative material located on an upstream side and air flowing through the air passage becomes larger than a thermal resistance between a part of the regenerative material located on a downstream side and air flowing through the air passage.

Regenerative heat exchanger

A cold energy storage evaporator is used in a vehicle refrigeration cycle device configured to cool a vehicle compartment. The cold energy storage evaporator includes a refrigerant tube through which a refrigerant flows, and a cold energy storage member that is in close contact with the refrigerant tube, the cold energy container accommodating therein a cold energy storage member configured to freeze due to heat absorption by the refrigerant. A melting point of the cold energy storage member is higher than 11 degrees Celsius.

Cold energy storage evaporator and vehicle refrigeration cycle device provided with same

There is provided an electric compressor to be fixed an object including a compression mechanism, an electric motor, a housing, a supporting member, and a plurality of vibration damping members. One of the housing and the supporting member has a recess and the other of the housing and the supporting member has a projection that is disposed in the recess and engaged with the recess to form a plurality of accommodating spaces on opposite sides of the projection, respectively. A filling rate of each vibration damping member in the corresponding accommodating space is changeable. There is also provided a method for manufacturing the electric compressor, including preparing a plurality of vibration damping members, choosing one of the vibration damping members, and providing the supporting member to the outer peripheral surface of the housing while accommodating the chosen vibration damping members in the respective accommodating spaces.

Electric compressor and method for manufacturing same

A motor-driven compressor includes an electric motor, a compression mechanism driven by the electric motor to compress refrigerant, a housing accommodating the electric motor and the compression mechanism, and a support having a mounting to be fastened to an object by a fastener. One of the housing and the support has a projection and the other of the housing and the support has a recess that is engaged with the projection through a vibration damper so that the support supports the housing.

A motor-driven compressor that suppresses the transmission of vibration and noise to the exterior, while obtaining heating performance that is sufficient for use in a heat pump. The motor-driven compressor includes a compressor mechanism, which compresses a refrigerant, and a motor mechanism, which actuates the compressor mechanism. The motor-driven compressor further includes an inner housing, which accommodates the compressor mechanism and the motor mechanism in a sealed state, and an outer housing, which accommodates the inner housing. The outer housing includes a mounting portion that can be mounted to another member. A first intermediate member is arranged between the inner housing and the outer housing. The first intermediate member includes anti-vibration and thermal insulation properties.

A motor-driven compressor that prevents electric leakage from a drive circuit while suppressing the generation of noise. The motor-driven compressor includes a compressor mechanism that compresses a refrigerant, a motor mechanism that actuates the compressor mechanism, a drive circuit that drives the motor mechanism. The drive circuit is connected to a power supply. An inner housing accommodates the compressor mechanism and the motor mechanism in a sealed state and holds the drive circuit. An outer housing accommodates the inner housing and includes a mounting portion that can be mounted to another member. An intermediate member arranged between the inner housing and the outer housing and between the drive circuit and the outer housing. The intermediate members include anti-vibration and thermal insulation properties. A protector protects the drive circuit from an external impact, wherein the protector is arranged on the outer housing.
