A vehicle door frame includes a door sash, a belt-line reinforcement member, and a bracket which connects the door sash and the belt-line reinforcement member to each other and is fixed to a door panel. The bracket is welded to the belt-line reinforcement member at a plurality of welding portions, each of the welding portions defining a welding line, where an extension of each of the welding lines are not aligned with one another.

A vehicle door sash having a uniform cross-sectional shape is provided, including an enclosed section on a vehicle inner side, and an outer extending wall which extends from the enclosed section toward the vehicle outer side, the enclosed section provided with inner and outer walls, with respect to a vehicle width direction, a body-side wall, and a window-opening-side wall that is adjacent to a window glass of the vehicle door. A weather strip is abutted against the body-side of the outer extending wall, and a glass runner is abutted against the window side of the outer extending wall. The body-side wall of the enclosed section is straight in cross section. A thickness of at least one of the inner and outer walls of the enclosed section is greater than a thickness of each of the body-side wall and the window-opening-side wall.

Extruded vehicle door sash

A belt molding for an automotive door panel includes a molding body made of a hard resin and having an outer wall and an inner wall; a design tape fusion-bonded to an outer surface of the outer wall; and a lip made of a soft resin and standing from the vicinity of an edge portion of the outer wall. The outer surface of the outer wall to which the design tape is fusion-bonded is convexly curved in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. An edge portion of the design tape is covered with a root portion of the lip. A largest curvature portion of the outer wall is located immediately under a covered portion of the design tape.

Belt molding

The invention relates to a door sash having a cross-sectional shape including a design portion and a hollow portion formed on an inboard side with respect to the design portion and connected to the design portion, and is intended to provide a door sash which achieves weight reduction. The hollow portion is an extrusion mold of light metal, the design portion is a product having a variable cross-sectional shape in which the shape in the direction of the width of a vehicle is increased in length as it gets close to a waist line of a door, and the hollow portion is integrated with the design portion. The door sash further includes: a glass run holder positioned on an outboard side with respect to the hollow portion and configured to hold a glass run which a window glass comes into abutment with, the glass run holder being adjacent to the design portion, and a bracket which connects the glass run holder and the hollow portion.

Door sash

A vehicle door frame includes first and second door frame members which are positioned end-to-end to be butt-welded to each other, wherein each of the first and second door frame members includes a design part, an enclosed section provided on a vehicle interior side, a connecting part which connects an inner surface of the design part with the enclosed section; and first and second dam protrusions which project from the inner surface of the design part and are positioned on opposite sides of the connecting part, respectively. Molten metal is present in the first and second spaces after the molten metal has melted and passed through the inner surface of the design part from the outer surface thereof upon butted ends of the first and second door frame members being butt-welded to each other from the outer surface of the design part.
