A connector includes a housing, two reinforcing brackets that are incorporated in both respective end portions in a longitudinal direction of the housing, and terminals that are arranged on and held by the housing between the two reinforcing brackets. The housing includes an island-shaped portion, a peripheral wall, and an accommodating concave portion that is formed between the peripheral wall and the island-shaped portion so as to accommodate a fitting portion of a mating connector. Each of the reinforcing brackets includes a protection portion, a guide portion, and a spring strip. The spring strip is formed in a cantilever shape, and the spring strip is positioned on an inner side compared to the protection portion in the longitudinal direction of the housing. A concave portion that allows elastic deformation of the spring strip is formed on a side surface of the island-shaped portion.

Connector

A connector includes a housing extending in a predetermined direction intersecting the fitting direction, a plurality of contacts held by the housing and arrayed along the predetermined direction, and a reinforcing member held at an end portion of the housing in the predetermined direction and made of a metal material, the reinforcing member having a first member and a second member, the first member including a first reinforcing portion extending in a U-shape along the end portion of the housing when viewed in the fitting direction, and a connecting portion connected to the first reinforcing portion and electrically connected to a counter reinforcing member of the counter connector, the second member being formed as a separate component from the first member and including a second reinforcing member extending in a U-shape along the first reinforcing portion when viewed in the fitting direction.

An object of the present invention is to provide a novel method for determining the structure of a target substance contained in a multicomponent sample. The present invention provides a method of determining the structure of a target substance contained in a mixture of two or more substances, wherein the method includes the steps of: isolating the target substance from the mixture by means of supercritical fluid chromatography, soaking the isolated target substance into a crystalline sponge to produce a sample for crystallography, and performing a crystallographic analysis on the sample for crystallography. A volatile solvent can be used as a mobile phase in the supercritical fluid chromatography.

An image forming apparatus includes an information obtainer, a memory, a candidate determining unit, and an image forming device. The information obtainer obtains feature information from the target recording medium. The memory stores at least one set of recording medium information regarding the target recording medium associated with the feature information and at least one set of image forming condition information corresponding to the recording medium information. The recording medium information is identification information. The candidate determining unit determines a candidate recording medium information from the recording medium information stored in the memory based on the feature information of the target recording medium obtained by the information obtainer. The image forming device forms an image on the target recording medium based on the image forming condition information in the memory according to the candidate recording medium information determined by the candidate determining unit.

A connector is mateable with a mating connector along an upper-lower direction (Z-direction). The connector comprises a housing and a terminal. The housing has a holding portion and an upstanding portion which are apart from each other in a width direction (Y-direction). The upstanding portion has a stop portion. The terminal has a held portion held by the holding portion and a spring portion extending from the held portion. The spring portion has a base portion and an upward extending portion extending upward from the base portion. The upward extending portion has a facing portion which faces the upstanding portion in the width direction. The facing portion has a stopped portion. Under a mated state where the connector and the mating connector are mated with each other, the stop portion is located above the stopped portion and faces the stopped portion in the upper-lower direction.

A sheet discriminator, which is incorporated in an image forming apparatus and an image forming system, includes a sheet loader on which a recording medium is loaded, an information detector including a light emitter to emit light to a surface of the recording medium loaded on the sheet loader and a light receiver to receive the light emitted by the light emitter and detecting information of the recording medium, a sheet distinguisher to distinguish a type of the recording medium based on the information detected by the information detector, and a light emission controller to control activation and stop of the light emitter and activate the light emitter before the information detector starts detection of the information of the recording medium.
