A camera apparatus includes a single release switch member. The single release switch member is for instructing an image capture operation, and selects one of a first operative state and a second operative state. The first operative state is selected when the single release switch member is pushed down to a first depth. The second operative state is selected when the single release switch member is pushed down to a second depth which is deeper than the first depth. The camera apparatus selects a recordable portion of a recording medium in response to selection of the first operative state, and generates a predetermined electrical signal if the camera apparatus selects the recordable portion of the recording medium. The camera apparatus records the image signal on the selected recordable portion if the second operative state is selected by the single release switch member, and the predetermined electrical signal is generated.

Recording device

A picture image recording device using a recording medium which permits setting a plurality of recording tracks separately from each other for recording picture image signals on each of them. In the improvement made by this invention, the operating mode of the device is shiftable at least between two modes including a first mode in which image recording is performed only on one recording track and a second mode in which image recording is performed continuously or sequencially on a plurality of recording tracks.

Automatic control means for a picture image recording device

The disclosed camera is capable of being operated either with a normal shutter release or a remote cable release. An exposure control circuit includes a photoelectric element for automatically controlling the exposure on the basis of the brightness of the object being photographed. A motor control circuit operates a photographic mechanism. A first switch operates in response of the first step of depression of a release button and a second switch responds to further depression of the release button. A third switch is connected to the remote release in parallel with the second switch for actuating the automatic exposure control circuit and the motor control circuit. A delay circuit starts in response to operation of either the first or third switches and produces a signal at a predetermind time after operation of either of the switches. Inhibiting means respond to the signal from the delay circuit to inhibit operation of the motor control circuit until the delay circuit produces its signal so that the automatic exposure control circuit can complete its operation whether it is actuated by the shutter release button on the camera or remotely.

Remote releasable camera

A device for controlling a television camera of a type, wherein a control quantity of the television camera is converted to an electrical signal and stored in a memory circuit, and, at the time of reproduction, the television camera is controlled to a desired mode on the basis of the electrical quantity stored in the memory circuit.
