Provided is an automobile front body structure configured such that a reinforcement member is joined to a cowl panel. The cowl panel includes an upper surface portion, a forwardly bulging portion, a rearwardly bulging portion, and a lower surface portion. The reinforcement member includes a reinforcement member body which has a substantially squared U-shaped section which is bent and extends along the cowl panel, a first joint portion and a second joint portion. The reinforcement member body includes a wide portion of a substantially squared U-shaped section which is wide in the vehicle width direction and extending along the forwardly bulging portion, and a narrow portion such that a substantially squared U-shaped section is narrowed in the vehicle width direction toward the vehicle lower side. A sectional depth of the narrow portion is larger than a sectional depth of the wide portion.

Automobile front body structure

A side vehicle body structure prevents a fastening bolt of a cowl member from being loosened while suppressing production cost. The structure includes a pair of left and right suspension towers each formed so as to expand into an engine room and supporting a buffer device of a front suspension, and a cowl member extending forward from an upper end portion of a dash panel separating the engine room from a vehicle interior. Left and right end portions of the cowl member are coupled to respective top portions of the suspension towers by a pair of fastening portions using bolts, and each fastening portion includes a first bolt fastening portion arranged inward of a corresponding center of the top portion and at least partially overlapping a line connecting the centers, and a second bolt fastening portion arranged at a front side of the first bolt fastening portion.

Side vehicle body structure of vehicle

Present application discloses side chassis structure. Side chassis structure includes: apron reinforcement member; fender panel covering outside of the apron reinforcement member; and brackets connected to the fender panel. At least one of the brackets includes: main body including support portion supporting fender panel; front leg portion extending downward from front end of inner portion of main body in vehicle width direction, front leg portion being attached to apron reinforcement member; and rear leg portion which extends downward from rear end of the main body, rear leg portion being attached to apron reinforcement member. Front leg portion has inner slotted hole having long axis extending in vehicle width direction, and outer slotted hole which is formed outside inner slotted hole in vehicle width direction, outer slotted hole having long axis longer than long axis of inner slotted hole.

Side chassis structure of vehicle

There are provided a pair of right-and-left front side frames which extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction, a pair of right-and-left apron reinforcements which extend straightly in the vehicle longitudinal direction above and outward, in a vehicle width direction, of the pair of front side frames, a pair of right-and-left fender panels which cover respective outward sides, in the vehicle width direction, of the pair of apron reinforcements, a pair of right-and-left connecting frames which connect respective front end portions of the pair of apron reinforcements to the front side frames, and a pair of right-and-left connecting brackets which connect respective front-end side portions of the pair of fender panels to the pair of apron reinforcements. The connecting bracket is arranged substantially at the same longitudinal position as a connection portion of the apron reinforcement and the connecting frame in a plan view.

Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle

A pair of right-and-left brackets which extend obliquely downward and forward from respective front portions of a pair of right-and-left side frames are provided. A stiffener which extends in a vehicle width direction below a bumper beam is attached to respective front ends of the pair of right-and-left brackets. The stiffener is configured such that its front end portion slants downward and forward and has an open cross section, and its rear end portion thereof has a closed cross section. An obstacle can be prevented from coming in below a vehicle-body front portion, and also the sufficient energy absorption in a collision and the prompt flicking-up of an obstacle can properly achieved.

Vehicle-body front structure of vehicle

A protecting member comprises a pair of right-and-left brackets extending obliquely downward and forward from front portions of a pair of right-and-left side frames and a stiffener extending in a vehicle width direction below a bumper beam and attached to front ends of the brackets. The stiffener has a closed cross section extending in the vehicle width direction, and an upper face of its central portion in the vehicle width direction has a concaved portion. A lower face of the stiffener extends horizontally substantially straightly. It is preferable that the closed cross section of the central portion of the stiffener be configured such that its vertical distance is relatively small and its longitudinal width is relatively large, compared with the other part of the stiffener.

A protecting member includes a pair of right-and-left brackets which extend obliquely downward and forward from front portions of a pair of right-and-left side frames and a stiffener which extends in a vehicle width direction below a bumper beam and attached to front ends of the pair of right-and-left brackets. The protecting member has a load/deformation characteristic including a first stage from a collision start, a second stage after the first stage, and a third stage after the second stage. Herein, the first stage is set so as to restrain the obstacle from coming in below a vehicle-body front portion, the second stage is set so as to absorb collision energy to restrain a local deformation of the obstacle, and the third stage is set so as to flick the obstacle up.

The present invention relates to a vehicle front body structure comprising a cross-sectionally closed front side frame installed to extend in a front-rear direction of a vehicle. The front side frame has a depressed section formed in a lower region of a vehicle-width directional inner wall surface portion thereof in such a manner as to be depressed toward a vehicle-width directional outward side. The front side frame is internally provided with a reinforcing member extending over a front-rear directional dimension of the depressed section. An upper portion of the reinforcing member is joined to at least one of a vehicle-width directional intermediate region of an upper wall portion of the front side frame and an area of the upper wall portion located outward side of the intermediate region, and a lateral portion of the reinforcing member is joined to a wall surface portion corresponding to the depressed section.

Vehicle front body structure

A front structure of an automotive vehicle, comprising a shroud having a shroud upper, shroud lower, and a pair of shroud sides, a bumper face, and a plate member, a front end of which extends to a position near a back face of the bumper face and a rear end of which is attached to the shroud lower, wherein protruding portions are provided at both-side ends of the plate member so as to protrude outward respectively in a vehicle width direction from both-side ends of the shroud lower, and projecting portions are provided at the protruding portions so as to project rearward respectively along side end portions of the shroud lower. Accordingly, the prevention of pedestrian dragging against the vehicle frontal oblique crush can be improved.

Front structure of automotive vehicle

A bumper face is comprised of an upper portion and a lower portion. An opening portion is formed between the upper and lower portions. A bumper mesh is comprised of a mesh body located at the opening portion and a bumper face lower reinforcing portion that is located inside of the lower portion of the bumper face and connected to a lower end of the lower portion. The bumper mesh includes an extension portion that extends rearward from a lower end of the bumper face lower reinforcing portion and is connected to the lower portion of the shroud. Accordingly, the rearward movement of the bumper face lower reinforcing portion can be surely prevented, without increasing the number of parts, and thereby the prevention of dragging of a pedestrian can be improved.

Disclosed is a vehicle front structure, which comprises a synthetic resin shroudformed to support a heat exchanger and mounted to a vehicle body in a front of an engine compartment, a bumper fascia disposed in a front end of the vehicle body, a plate memberwhich has a front end located adjacent to a rear surface of the bumper fascia and a rear end attached to a lower shroud section, and a connection memberwhich connects a lower end region of a lateral surface of a side shroud sectionto a non-abutted portionformed in a flangeof a bumper reinforcement. The vehicle front structure of the present invention can suppress displacement of the shroud during a frontal impact with a pedestrian or an obstacle such as a curb.

Vehicle front structure

Disclosed is a vehicle front structure, which comprises a bumper fascia, a lower shroud member, a subframeincluding a first shock-absorbing module, and a second shock-absorbing modulehaving a stiffness less than that of the first shock-absorbing module. A subframe bodyis formed in an approximately rectangular shape and disposed on a rear side of the lower shroud member. The first shock-absorbing moduleincludes an energy-absorbing sectionand a beam member. The energy-absorbing sectionhas a configuration which extends frontwardly from respective front end regions of the subframe bodylocated on laterally-opposite sides thereof, along respective opposite lateral surfaces of the lower shroud member, and the beam memberhas a configuration bridging between respective front ends of the energy-absorbing section, at a height position approximately equal to or adjacent to that of a lower edge of the lower shroud member. The second shock-absorbing modulehas a bulging portionwhich covers at least a part of a front surface of the beam member. The vehicle front structure of the present invention can ensure sufficient pedestrian protection performance by means of enhancing impact energy-absorbing capacity, while achieving enhanced repairability in the event of a low-impact collision.

The invention provides a structure of a front part of a vehicle body that is simple and free from the risk of maloperation. In the event of a collision between the vehicle and a pedestrian, a projecting part sweeps the pedestrian by parts of his or her legs lower than the knees in the event of a collision between the vehicle and the pedestrian, causing the pedestrian to be thrown over toward the vehicle, and after an energy-absorbing member has absorbed impact energy exerted on the legs, the pedestrian is caused to drop onto the top of a hood and protected from secondary damage. In one specific example, a structure of a front part of a vehicle body in which a bumper ( ) is provided at a lower front position of a hood ( ) of the vehicle comprises a lateral supporting member ( ) provided in the front part of the vehicle body and extending in the direction of vehicle width, an energy-absorbing member ( ) provided ahead of the lateral supporting member ( ), and a projecting part ( ) provided at a lower part of the bumper in such a manner that a forward end of the projecting part ( ) juts out more frontward than the lateral supporting member ( ).
