An article positioning mechanism for positioning an article comprising a component or a tool with respect to a mounting portion of a movable member of a mechanical device and also restraining rotation thereof includes a holder member to which the article is fixed and a frame shaped member that is fixed to the mounting portion, the holder member including position regulation surfaces and a tapered male engagement portion that is formed as a regular polygon and also is sloped so as to approach its axis in the direction towards the mounting portion, the frame shaped member including a reference surface that receives the position regulation surfaces and positions them in the axial direction, and a tapered female engagement portion that is formed as a regular polygon and also is sloped in the same direction as the tapered male engagement portion.

Article positioning mechanism

A positioning and fixing device positions a work pallet in the vertical and horizontal directions relative to a base member via a ring member, and also restricts its rotation around the vertical axis. The base member has Z reference surfaces that can stop a lower end reference surface of the ring member and position it in the vertical direction, and a tapered male engagement portion whose horizontal cross section is formed as a regular polygon having a plurality of outwardly convex circular arcuate vertex portions and a plurality of side portions, and that reduces in diameter upwards. The ring member has a tapered female engagement portion that can engage with the tapered male engagement portion so that its lower end reference surface is in contact against the Z reference surfaces. A clamp mechanism for fixing the ring member to the base member is provided, and the side portions of at least one of the tapered female engagement portion and the tapered male engagement portion are adapted to engage in close contact with the other via elastic deformation.

Work pallet positioning and fixing device

An object positioning/fixing device is capable of generating a clamping force by clamp bolts capable of being fastened manually and realizes high operability of the clamp bolts. A simple clamp mechanism comprises the clamp bolts as major components. The object positioning/fixing device has a cooperative assembly of the positioning mechanism and the clamp bolts.

Objecting positioning/fixing device

In a work pallet positioning and fixing device that positions a work pallet over a base member in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction and fixes it thereto by pressing forces of clamp bolts, the base member is provided with first and second reference members for positioning, and a reference seating surface and, by making bolt head accommodation holes of bolt holes for four fitting bolts fitting flange portions of the reference members partially overlap with protruding engagement portions as seen in plan view, a plurality of tapered engagement surfaces on the external peripheries of the protruding engagement portions being segmented into four sections.

A clamping device is capable of engaging a clamping object with an inner wall of hole or side wall of the clamping object. The clamping deviceis provided with a rod support for moving an engagement portionof a clamping rodin a direction roughly rectangular to the longitudinal direction of the clamping rodand switchably rotatably supports the clamping rodin a clamping main body across a clamping position and a clamp release position, a piston drive mechanismfor driving a pistonacross the clamping position and the clamp release position, and a cam mechanismfor driving the engagement portionin the clamping direction by the driving force of piston drive mechanismfor driving the pistonto the clamping position.

Clamping device

A positioning mechanism in a positioning and clamping device includes an annular tapered surface that is formed on an outer periphery of a cylindrical shaft for positioning a pallet in the horizontal direction, and has a decreasing diameter toward an axial tip of the cylindrical shaft. An annular engaging mechanism, which is formed on an inner periphery side portion of an annular engagement member, is engageable with the annular tapered surface, and is elastically deformed in the radial direction, as a result of engagement with the annular tapered surface. The engaging mechanism has a tapered ring portion, which makes a face contact with the annular tapered surface, and multiple ribs extending outward, radially, from the tapered ring portion.

Positioning and clamping device and positioning device

A tool unclamping device according to the present invention comprises a motor, a rotary shaft connected to the motor, a cam provided on the rotary shaft, a power transmission member, pressed by the cam to be axially movable, having a recess at the center in the radial direction thereof, a frame so provided as to enclose the power transmission mechanism, a support member inserted into the power transmission mechanism in the radial direction thereof and fixed to the frame, an elastic member set in the recess located between the power transmission member and the support member for urging the power transmission member toward the motor and an output shaft driven by power from the power transmission mechanism for unclamping a tool.
