The present invention provides a disposable pants-type wearing article improved so as to eliminate a possibility that elastic members attached to peripheral edges of respective leg-openings might irritate the wearer's skin. The disposable pants-type wearing article has a band-like elastic member having a width dimension in a range of 5 to 60 mm and extending along peripheral edges of leg-openings so as to go half around each of the leg-openings. The elastic member comprises opposite end segments each lying in the uppermost zone of the leg-opening, a middle segment lying in the lowermost zone of the leg-opening and extending across a crotch region and intermediate segments each extending between the associated end segment and the middle segment wherein the intermediate segments are not bonded to sheet material constituting the wearing article.

Disposable pants-type wearing article and method for making the same

A disposable wearing diaper includes a front panel section and a rear panel section facing each other so as to define respective waist regions. The rear panel section overlaps the outer side of the front panel section and these front and rear panel sections are connected to each other along transversely opposite side edges of the respective panel sections. The disposable diaper has finger-grips provided at positions on an upper end of the rear panel section at which the rear panel section overlap the front panel section. The finger-grip comprises a proximal zone and a distal zone extending from the proximal zone which is contiguous to the rear panel section and the distal zone is placed aside with respect to the proximal zone toward a lower end of the rear panel section.

Disposable wearing article

A disposable wearing article is provided with a pair of tape fasteners each composed of inner and outer tape strips and a hook member. The outer tape strip has a proximal portion fixed to the side section of the rear waist region and a distal portion extending outwards from the side section. The inner tape strip has a proximal portion fixed to the side section, a first distal portion bonded to the distal portion of the outer tape strip, and a second distal portion extending outwards from the distal portion of the outer tape strip. The hook member is attached to at least the second distal portion of the inner tape strip. The tape fastener has first and second zones corresponding to the distal portions of the outer and inner tape strips. A stiffness of the second zone is lower than that of the first zone.

A disposable diaper includes a pair of tape fastenersthat are used to connect front and rear waist regionsto each other and are attached to side flapsin the rear waist regionof the diaper. Each of the tape fastenersincludes fibrous nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber and thermoplastic synthetic resin coated on a substantially whole area of an outer surface of the fibrous nonwoven fabric wherein the thermoplastic synthetic resin forms a substantially smooth synthetic resin layer on outer surfaces of the respective tape fasteners. Thus, a free portion of each tape fastener is reliably prevented from being disengaged from a target tape even when the outer surface of the tape fastener and an inner surface of an underwear rub together during use of the diaper.

A disposable undergarment that includes a liquid-impervious base sheet and a liquid-absorbent structure lying on a wearer's skin side surface of the base sheet. The base sheet includes a breathable but liquid-impervious plastic film and a fibrous nonwoven fabric joined to the plastic film to define an undergarment side surface, the base sheet having a total luminous transmittance in a range between 60 and 85%.
