Provided is a scroll compressor including: a motor configured to revolve an orbiting scroll with respect to a fixed scroll; a rotary shaft rotated about an axis by the motor; a bearing part configured to support the rotary shaft; and a housing. The housing has a partition wall part-partitioning the inner space into a first space and a second space, the motor being arranged in the first space, and the bearing part and a compressing part being arranged in the second space. The partition wall part has a first communication passage and a second communication passage, the first communication passage being configured to guide a mixed refrigerant containing a lubricating oil and a refrigerant gas from the first space to a region of the second space, the bearing part being arranged in the region of the second space, and the second communication passage being configured to guide the refrigerant gas, which is contained in the mixed refrigerant guided to the region of the second space, to the compressing part.

Scroll compressor

Provided is an electric compressor comprising: a housing; a fixed scroll that is housed in the housing and fixed on the housing side; a turning scroll that meshes with the fixed scroll and turns with respect to the fixed scroll; an autorotation inhibiting mechanism that inhibits autorotation of the turning scroll; and a lubricant supply unit that supplies a lubricant to the autorotation inhibiting mechanism. The autorotation inhibiting mechanism has: a ring hole which is formed in the turning scroll; a ring which is disposed in the ring hole, and the outer circumferential surface of which faces the inner circumferential surface of the ring hole; and a pin which is provided to the housing and which engages with the inner circumferential surface of the ring. A gap formed between the inner circumferential surface of the ring hole and the outer circumferential surface of the ring is 0.1-0.6 mm.

A scroll compressor comprising a fixed scroll (); an orbiting scroll () supported in a manner allowing for orbiting motion; a discharge port through which a fluid compressed by the two scrolls () is discharged; an end plate step portion (E) provided on an end plate of the orbiting scroll () formed so that a height of the end plate is higher on a center portion side in the direction of a spiral wrap and lower on an outer end side; and a wrap step portion (E) provided on a wall portion of the fixed scroll () that corresponds to the end plate step portion (E) so that a height of the wall portion is lower on the center portion side of the spiral and higher on the outer end side; wherein the orbiting scroll () is treated for surface hardening and the fixed scroll () is not treated for surface hardening.

A blade bottom surface of an end plate of the fixed scroll is set as a reference surface for setting a chip gap between both the scrolls. In a scroll fluid machine, a thinned section () is provided in correspondence with a position at which the wrap height of a spiral wrap (B,B) changes due to a step part. The thinned section () is provided on the front-side surface or the rear-side surface of a tooth tip section of at least one of the spiral wraps (B,B) of at least one of partner scrolls () respectively engaging with scrolls (). The thinned section () is provided in the direction in which the wrap thickness decreases so as to extend over at least a reduced-machining-accuracy area (), which is an area where the machining becomes discontinuous due to at least a change in the wrap height. Thus, a contact failure between the spiral wraps (B,B) is avoided in the area where the machining accuracy relatively decreases as a result of increasing the machining speed, thereby achieving both improved productivity and maintained performance.

In a scroll compressor of the present invention, tip seals and are fitted in tip seal grooves provided in higher and lower tip surfaces of spiral wraps. One end of the tip seals then repeats contact and non-contact with a bottom land of the other scroll by a revolution in an orbiting manner of an orbiting scroll. In addition, a projection extending in a vertical direction from a back surface of the tip seals is provided at one end of the tip seals that become in a cantilever state. Furthermore, a hole in which the projection is fitted and engaged is formed in one end bottom surface of the tip seal grooves in which the tip seals are fitted.

A scroll compressor is provided that can reliably prevent a situation in which a product whose performance is degraded due to misassembly of a tip seal is shipped. In the scroll compressor, tip seals of different lengths are embedded in tip surfaces of a fixed spiral wrap of a fixed scroll and an orbiting spiral wrap of an orbiting scroll. Among the tip seals, thicknesses of the shorter tip seals are made thicker than thicknesses of the longer tip seals, and depths of seal grooves in which the tip seals are embedded, respectively, are formed to different depths in correspondence with the thicknesses of the respective tip seals.

A scroll compressor that suffers no decrease in compression performance due to leakage resulting from a twisting assembly error is provided. This scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll, each including a spiral wrap protruding from an end plate and having the same tooth thickness (Tr) and the same base-circle radius (b) defining an involute surface. The fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll are offset from each other by an orbiting radius (&#x3c1;) and mesh such that the respective wraps face each other with a phase shift of 180&#xb0;.
