The rolling bearing includes an inner ring and an outer ring that are disposed coaxially with each other, a rolling body that is disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a resin cover that is mounted on the outer ring. The outer ring has an outer circumferential surface that faces an opposite side of the inner ring, and an end surface that faces an axial direction. The resin cover has a circumferential wall portion that covers the outer circumferential surface, and a flange portion that is connected to the circumferential wall portion and covers the end surface. The flange portion has an opening portion formation region that has a constant width in a radial direction, extends over an entire circumference, and is formed with opening portions that expose the end surface.

Rolling bearing, rotating device, and method for manufacturing rolling bearing

Provided is a rolling bearing that can both ensure durability and reduce rotational resistance. The rolling bearing includes a seal member that is mounted on an outer ring and that covers a space between an inner ring and the outer ring from an outer side in an axial direction, and grease disposed between a rolling element and the seal member. The seal member includes an annular pedestal portion in contact with the outer ring from an outer side in the axial direction, an extending portion that extends outward in the axial direction from an inner peripheral edge of the pedestal portion, and a flat surface portion that extends along a radial direction from an end edge of the extending portion on an outer side in the axial direction toward the inner ring. The grease includes an outer ring contact portion in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the outer ring, and a seal member contact portion in contact with the flat surface portion on an outer side in the axial direction and an inner ring side with respect to the outer ring contact portion. An area of the seal member contact portion is larger than a contact area between the grease and the extending portion as well as the pedestal portion of the seal member.

To provide a rolling bearing and a rotating device which can reduce problems due to creep or the like, and a method for manufacturing a rolling bearing. A rolling bearing includes: an inner ring and an outer ring disposed coaxially with each other; and a rolling element disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring. A coating film is formed on at least one of an inner circumferential surface of the inner ring and an outer circumferential surface of the outer ring, and the coating film contains a mixture of calcium sulfonate and calcium carbonate or a compound obtained from calcium sulfonate and calcium carbonate.

A rolling bearing capable of achieving reduction in torque is provided. The rolling bearing includes an inner ring and an outer ring disposed coaxially with each other, a rolling element disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, a seal member configured to cover an area between the inner ring and the outer ring from an outside in an axial direction, and filled grease disposed between the rolling element and the seal member. The filled grease includes a first ring-like part which extends to form a circumferential shape centering on a common axis of the inner ring and the outer ring, and which has contact with one of the inner ring and the outer ring, and a second ring-like part which extends to form a circumferential shape centering on the common axis, which is connected to the first ring-like part at an outer side in the axial direction, and which has contact with the seal member.

Rolling bearing, rotary apparatus, and method of manufacturing rolling bearing

A bearing grease includes a base oil and a thickener, and the base oil includes mineral oil and poly-&#x3b1;-olefin. The poly-&#x3b1;-olefin may be a blend of poly-&#x3b1;-olefin having a kinetic viscosity higher than that of the mineral oil and poly-&#x3b1;-olefin having a kinetic viscosity equal to or lower than that of the mineral oil, and the kinetic viscosity of the base oil at 40&#xb0; C. is in a range of 40 through 90 mm/s. The amount of the poly-&#x3b1;-olefin by mass in the base oil is greater than the amount of the mineral oil by mass in the base oil. The worked penetration of the grease is in a range of 200 through 250. The grease reduces flying grease and outgas and has superior low-temperature characteristics.

A bearing device includes a shaft and a roller bearing externally inserted over the shaft. The roller bearing includes an inner ring disposed coaxially with a center axis of the shaft, an outer ring surrounding the inner ring from an outer side in a radial direction, and a plurality of rolling elements held between the inner ring and the outer ring to be capable of rolling. The inner ring is divided into one half section and the other half section. The one half section contacts the rolling elements from the one side toward the other side in the axial direction, and the other half section contacts the rolling elements from the other side toward the one side in the axial direction. Preloads are applied to the two half sections in directions in which the one half section and the other half section are brought close to each other.

To prevent a problem due to gas produced from an adhesive and to improve the productivity of a rolling bearing apparatus. The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a rolling bearing apparatus, including fitting a first rolling bearing and a second rolling bearing to a first member each in a pressed state, pressing the inner races of the first and second rolling bearings in a direction in which they are closer to each other in the axial direction with a second member sandwiched between outer races of the first and second rolling bearings, and welding at least a portion of a peripheral portion of the inner race of the pressed second rolling bearing in the axial direction to the outer face of the first member through irradiation with laser light.

Rolling bearing apparatus, manufacture method thereof, and hard disk apparatus

A method of manufacturing a rolling bearing device which can improve operational efficiency and can enhance productivity thereof is provided. The method includes the steps of: applying an adhesive agent to fitting portions formed between inner rings of two rolling bearings which are arranged coaxially in a spaced-apart manner in an axial direction and a shaft which is fitted in the inner rings and fitting portions formed between outer rings of two rolling bearings and a sleeve which is fitted on the outer rings; bringing the inner rings and the shaft into fitting engagement and the outer rings and the sleeve into fitting engagement respectively; and welding, in a state where the inner rings to which the adhesive agent is applied in the adhesive agent applying step are brought close to each other due to pushing of the inner rings in the axial direction, the pushed inner rings to the shaft by laser welding using laser power which does not generate thermal deformation of the pushed inner rings.

Method of manufacturing rolling bearing device

An optical unit is disclosed which is capable of being easily assembled, enabling its optical element to smoothly move, and preventing friction loss from being generated around its nut member. A lens driving apparatus is provided for moving an optical element holder, which supports an optical element having an optical axis and is movable along a guide member, in an extension direction of the optical axis, using a nut integrally provided at the holder, and a lead screw threadedly coupled to the nut to rotate forward and backward by a driving unit. In the lens driving apparatus, the forward or backward rotation of the motor is transmitted to the lead screw via a reduction gear train. The lead screw is installed to be inclinedly movable with respect to the extension direction of the optical axis about threaded coupling portions of a threaded section of the lead screw and the nut.

Optical module and camera module

An optical function module comprises a collimator block having a substrate, at least two collimators disposed on the substrate in confronting relation to one another for collimating a light flux directed along a preselected path between the collimators, and support members each for supporting a respective one of the collimators on the substrate. An optical function device is removably connected by a connecting structure to the collimator block so that the optical function device is positioned along the preselected path of the light flux between the collimators.

A low cost portable dosing apparatus enables the dispensing rate to be changed while enabling solution to be continuously dispensed to the body. The solution to be dispensed into the body is stored in a tank unit. A pump unit pumps the solution from the tank unit into the body of the patient. A controller controls pump unit operation. The tank unit, pump unit, and controller are attached to a wrist strap so that they can be easily connected and disconnected from each other. A compact, thin ultrasonic motor with high output per unit size drives the pump unit. A smaller pump unit is thus available, improving the portability of the apparatus. The ultrasonic motor is also substantially free of misoperation resulting from exposure to magnetic fields because the ultrasonic motor is not magnetically driven. Reliability is therefore improved.

Portable dosing apparatus

An ultrasonic motor with increased output power per unit volume is provided by simultaneously driving all of a plurality of polarized segments of a piezoelectric element having a circular disk shape and divided into a multiple of four polarized segments in a circumferential direction. Projections are provided at upper faces of the polarized segments of the piezoelectric element and spaced apart by an odd number of polarized segments. Polarities of adjacent polarized segments are the same and polarities of adjacent pairs are reverse to each other. A first polarized segment group comprises every other polarized segment and a second polarized segment group comprises the remaining polarized segments. By selecting whether phases of alternating voltages supplied to the first and second polarized segment groups are the same or are 180 degrees out of phase, the direction of the motor is determined.
