An extracellular potential measurement device includes multiple insulating films each of which is made from an electric insulating material, the insulating films being stacked and bonded to each other; and multiple electrode wires each of which is made from an electroconductive material, the electrode wires being arranged in multiple heights. Each of the electrode wires is interposed between an upper insulating film and a lower insulating film. Each of the insulating films, except for a lowermost insulating film, has an opening penetrating the insulating film. The opening in a lower insulating film has a size that is less than that of the opening in an upper insulating film, the openings in the insulating films being overlapped to form a recess having a size reducing downward, the recess being adapted to store a collection of cells. Each of the electrode wires has an end that is located near an opening in an insulating film that is immediately below the electrode wire, the ends being exposed in the recess.

Extracellular potential measurement device

A bioelectrode includes a conductive rubber electrode and a silver coating layer provided on the conductive rubber electrode and containing a silicone rubber and silver particles. The silver coating layer further contains a modified silicone.

Bioelectrode

A microfluidic chip includes a flow passage plate, a flat plate, and an annular seal. In the flow passage plate, a recess forming a flow passage for liquid and a communication hole communicating with the recess are formed. The flat plate is stacked on or under the flow passage plate to close the recess for defining the flow passage. In the flat plate, a communication through-hole communicating with the recess is formed. The annular seal is located on, or formed on, an outer surface of at least one of the flow passage plate and the flat plate, the annular seal surrounding at least one of the communication hole and the communication through-hole. The annular seal is made of an elastomer.

Microfluidic chip and microfluidic device

A cell capture apparatus includes a cell separation unit having a flat plate shape and a cell capture unit having a flat plate shape located therebelow. A liquid sample and a carrier liquid flow in a cell-separation flow passage of the cell separation unit. The liquid sample contains multiple large cells, multiple small cells, and a sample liquid component. The cell-separation flow passage separates a set of large cells and the carrier liquid from a set of small cells and the sample liquid component. The cell capture unit includes a large-cell flow passage in which the set of large cells and the carrier liquid flows, and multiple electrode wires for attracting the large cells by means of dielectrophoresis. Multiple cell capturing wells are formed in the large-cell flow passage. Each of the multiple cell capturing wells has a size that can capture one of the large cells attracted by the electrode wires.

Cell capture apparatus

A pager in which is written a paging ID shared among the remaining pagers of the same group, the pager including storage means for storing a character string; data comparing means for comparing the character string included in a received message with the data stored in the storage means; and operation execution means for commencing an operation on the basis of the result of the comparing operation performed by the data comparing means. The storage means is made interchangeable among pagers, or the data stored in the storage means can be rewritten. Categories of pagers in the same group may be readily established or changed through interchanging of the storage means or through rewriting of the data stored in the storage means.

Selective group paging device with exchangeable group ID

A pager includes a receiving circuit for receiving a transmitted paging signal including a calling signal and a message which includes character codes; a display having a predetermined character display area; a first storing circuit for storing the message when the calling signal indicates this pager; a setting circuit responsive to a manual operation for setting position data indicative of a position of one of the character codes in the message; a second storing circuit for storing the position data in response to the setting circuit; and a displaying circuit for reading a portion of the message including the portion of character codes from the storing circuit in accordance with the position data from the second storing circuit and displaying the portion of character codes on the display. In addition to storing the position data, a target subject data may be stored to search the position of a message to be displayed.
