An image pickup apparatus of the present invention includes: a lens holding framethat holds a lens, on the periphery of which a first pair of restricting members composed of convex membersandare provided at at least two places; and a circuit boardthat connects the lens holding framewith a camera main body electrically. The circuit boardincludes a flexible substratewith wiring that establishes electrical connection, and a reinforcing platefixed to a part of the flexible substrate. The circuit boardis fixed to the lens holding frame, such that at least a part of the reinforcing plateis disposed between the first pair of restricting members, and that both ends of the part of the reinforcing platedisposed between the first pair of restricting members are restricted by the first pair of restricting members. Consequently, it is possible to provide a camera that is easy to manufacture or to provide a camera that causes little flare.

Image pickup apparatus

A video printing apparatus feeds sheets of printing media from the lower front portion of the apparatus housing and ejects the print media at the upper front portion of the apparatus housing. The apparatus comprises a feed tray to be loaded with printing media, a feeding unit to feed the printing media into the inside of the apparatus, a transport unit to transport the printing media fed by the feeding unit, a switching unit provided between the feeding unit and the transport unit to switch over the transport route of the printing media, at least one detecting unit provided between the switching unit and the transport unit to detect the printing media, a printing unit to transfer printing onto the printing media, an ejection unit to eject the printing media after they have been printed by the printing unit, and an ejection tray to store the printing media ejected by the ejection unit. The feed tray is positioned at an angle with respect to the apparatus housing such that the printing media are at a downward angle in the direction of transport.

Video printer

An image printer comprising: a printing member for printing dye on a recording medium; a dye medium take-up member for taking up a dye medium to which the dye is applied; a first power transmission member for transmitting power to the dye medium take-up member; a recording medium transporting member for transporting the recording medium; a drive member for driving the dye medium take-up member and the recording medium transporting member, which can be driven forwardly and reversely; a pivotal member which is pivotal in response to rotation of the recording medium transporting member; a second power transmission member for transmitting power from the recording medium transporting member to the first power transmission member, which is mounted on the pivotal member; an urging member for bringing the recording medium transporting member into contact with the pivotal member so as to transmit driving force of the recording medium transporting member to the pivotal member; and a preventive member for selectively preventing the second power transmission member from coming into contact with the first power transmission member.

Image printer

A ribbon cassette for accommodating a length of inked ribbon for use with a thermal wax transfer printer. The cassette includes a generally cylindrical supply casing having a supply slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a first longitudinal of the supply casing and rotatably accommodating therein a supply spool, a generally cylindrical take-up casing having a take-up slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a second longitudinal axis of the take-up casing and also to the supply slot and rotatably accommodating therein a take-up spool, a length of inked ribbon having opposite ends engaged with the supply and take-up spools within the supply and take-up casings, respectively. The supply and take-up casings are connected together so as to extend parallel to each other by means of an elongated front plate secured at its opposite end portions to respective front open ends of the supply and take-up casings, and a slender bridge having opposite ends secured to respective rear ends of the supply and take-up casings. The take-up slot is located at a level generally aligned with a plane, containing the first and second longitudinal axes, and opening laterally outwardly so as to confront the supply casing. The supply and take-up slots is so positioned relative to each other as to permit a portion of the length of inked ribbon extending between the supply and take-up slots to extend diagonally upwardly from the supply slot towards the take-up slot.
