Propylene-based resin composition and film for heat sealing

A multilayered structure that includes an olefin resin layer and a gas-barrier layer. An adhesive layer is provided adjoining the olefin resin layer and the gas-barrier layer, the adhesive layer consisting of an acid-modified olefin resin. The acid-modified olefin resin has methyl branches in a number of 10 to 200 per 1000 carbon atoms on a main chain thereof, and has not more than 50 branches that are larger than the methyl groups.

A multilayer container including: an outermost layer (1) containing a propylene-based polymer A containing homopolypropylene as a main component having a melt flow rate in a range of 2.0 to 10.0 g/10 min; an inner layer (2) containing 50 to 99% by weight of a propylene-based polymer B containing homopolypropylene as a main component having a melt flow rate of not more than 5.0 g/10 min and an isotactic index of not less than 93%, and 1 to 50% by weight of an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer C; and a barrier layer (4) occupying 5 to 20% by weight of the whole container. The ratio (L/D) of container height (L) to diameter (D) is not less than 0.5, and a volume shrinkage based on volume measured before and after heat sterilization at 121&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes is not more than 5%.

Heat-resistant multilayer container and method for producing the same

An adhesive for polyolefin used for an extrusion-formed multilayered structure that includes, at least, a propylene type resin layer and an ethylene type resin layer, the adhesive for polyolefin comprising an olefin resin that has methyl branches at a ratio of 10 to 200 per 1000 carbon atoms on a main chain thereof.

A formed body having a layer of a resin composition constituted by a thermoplastic resin and a barrier resin, wherein the layer of the resin composition forms, in a matrix of the thermoplastic resin, a layer structure in which the barrier resin is dispersed in the form of a lamellar dispersion phase stretching in one direction; and the ratio (a)/(b) of an aspect ratio (a) of the dispersion phase of the barrier resin near the surfaces of the layer and an aspect ratio (b) of the dispersion phase of the barrier resin in the central portion in the direction of thickness of the layer, is not more than 2.0. The formed body has the layer of the resin composition constituted by the thermoplastic resin and the barrier resin, and has a dispersion structure capable of exhibiting excellent barrier property despite of the single layer.

The present invention is a polyolefin packing container having on the inner surface thereof an olefin resin layer that contains an ethylenebis fatty acid amide, wherein the ethylenebis fatty acid amide is bleeding in the inner surface in an amount of 12.5 to 200 mg/m. Without using unstable compound such as organic peroxide, the packing container, even when hot-filled with a content, assures very improved content fall-down performance when inverted.

Polyolefin packing container

A multilayered container includes at least a polyolefin inner layer; an adhesive layer; a gas-barrier layer; an oxygen-absorbing layer; a gas-barrier layer; an adhesive layer; a polyolefin outer layer, and having at least a body portion and a bottom portion, wherein the gas-barrier layers include an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, the oxygen-absorbing layer includes an oxygen-absorbing resin composition that contains the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and an oxidizing organic component, an adsorbing agent is contained on the side inside of said gas-barrier layer, the thickness of the multilayered container at the thinnest portion is not more than 430 &#x3bc;m, and the amount of oxygen absorbed after the heat-sterilization is not less than 23 cc per gram of the oxygen-absorbing resin composition. Despite of this decreased thickness, the multilayered container maintains excellent oxygen-barrier property and property for retaining flavor of the content even when it is subjected to the retort sterilization.

Disclosed is a multilayered container having an intermediate layer comprising an oxygen-absorbable barrier resin composition showing excellent processability upon molding. Specifically disclosed is a multilayered container which comprises an inner layer and an outer layer each comprising an olefin resin and an intermediate layer provided between the inner layer and the outer layer and comprising an oxygen-absorbable barrier resin composition, wherein the oxygen-absorbable barrier resin composition has a cooling crystallization peak temperature lower than that of a base resin (an oxygen barrier resin) which constitutes the oxygen-absorbable barrier resin composition, the multilayered container is formed by a solid-phase-forming process at a temperature lower by 1 to 15&#xb0; C. than the cooling crystallization starting temperature (Tc2) of the base resin, and the body of the container shows a calorific value of less than 0.5 J/g by the isothermal crystallization after heating from 30&#xb0; C. to 130&#xb0; C. at a heating rate of 100&#xb0; C./min in a thermal analysis of the body.

A polyethylene resin composition which permits the bleeding additive contained therein to be bled at an increased rate even if it has a large molecular weight and, therefore, permits the bleeding agent to be bled to the surface of the resin in an amount sufficient for exhibiting its properties. The polyethylene resin composition comprises, as a main polymer (A), a high pressure process low-density polyethylene and, as a sub-polymer (B), at least one kind of polyethylene selected from the group consisting of a metallocene-type low-density polyethylene and a high pressure process low-density polyethylene having an MFR larger than that of the main polymer (A), the polyethylene resin composition being, further, blended with a bleeding additive.

[Problems] To provide a multilayered plastic container which exhibits excellent oxygen-barrier property of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer to a sufficient degree without the need of providing a special adhesive layer, and which, when a polyolefin resin is used to form the inner and outer layers, too, not only permits the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer to be effectively used but also makes it very easy to set the conditions for satisfying predetermined properties. [Means for Solution] A multilayered plastic container comprising an oxygen-barrier layer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer that serves as a matrix and an adhesive intermediate layer of a blend of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a maleic anhydride-modified olefin resin neighboring each other between an inner layer and an outer layer, wherein both the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer used for forming said oxygen-barrier layer and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer used for forming said adhesive intermediate layer have an ethylene content of 20 to 60 mol %; and said adhesive intermediate layer contains said ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and the maleic anhydride-modified olefin resin at a weight ratio of 4:6 to 8:2, and contains, as said maleic anhydride-modified olefin resin, a high MFR component having an MFR at 190&#xb0; C. of 100 to 500 g/10 min. and a low MFR component having an MFR at 190&#xb0; C. of 2 to 90 g/10 min.

Multilayered plastic container

The object of the present invention is to provide an oxygen-absorbing resin composition having a high oxygen absorbability and capable of absorbing oxygen for a long period of time. The present invention provides an oxygen-absorbing resin composition comprising polyolefin resin (A) obtained by polymerizing an olefin having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, resin (B) which is other than resin (A) and which acts as a trigger for the oxidation of resin (A), and transition metal catalyst (C), wherein resin (B) is dispersed in the matrix of resin (A) so that the oxidation reaction of matrix resin (A) is caused and thus oxygen is absorbed when the oxygen-absorbing resin composition is brought into contact with oxygen. This oxygen absorbing resin composition has a high oxygen absorbability and is advantageous in cost because oxygen is absorbed in resin (A).

Oxygen-absorbing resin composition and laminate

A high-quality oxygen-absorbing resin composition which is obtained without suffering resin scorching. Also provided are pellets for the oxygen-absorbing resin composition which comprise a thermoplastic resin (A) and an oxidation catalyst. After the pellets are mixed with a trigger resin and a thermoplastic resin (C), the trigger resin functions as a trigger to cause the oxidation of the thermoplastic resins (A) and (C) to proceed. As a result, the resultant composition absorbs oxygen.
