A printer includes a printer head, a sensor, and a processor. The printer head includes printing components. The sensor acquires data with respect to a distance by which the printer is moved in one of moving directions. The processor (i) adjusts a length of an image of a print subject so that the image of the print subject has a length two times a reference travel distance that is based on a distance acquired by the sensor, the distance acquired by the sensor being a distance by which the printer is moved from a starting position in a first moving direction, and (ii) controls the printer head in such a manner that, when the printer is moved in a second moving direction that is opposite to the first moving direction, the printer is made to print the adjusted image at the adjusted position of the image.

A stamp-face platemaking device transports a medium holder inserted into a plate insertion portion to a printing unit. The medium holder holds a stamp face material in a plate-like member, and has a predetermined pattern in a side end portion thereof. An optical sensor detects the top end portion of the medium holder on a sensor scanning line in the inserting direction, and the pattern start point and the pattern end point of the predetermined pattern. At least one of the horizontal and vertical sizes of the stamp face material is set based on the positions of two of the detected end portions. When the pattern end point is detected, platemaking with the stamp face material is started.

A stamping-face plate holder is provided. The stamping-face plate holder comprises a plate holding member formed with a positioning recess for receiving and positioning a stamping-face plate and a film for covering the stamping-face plate held in the plate holding member. The stamping-face plate is made of a porous material impregnated with ink. The plate holding member consists of a top paper board and a bottom paper board, both boards being integrated by adhering and the positioning recess is formed in the top paper board. The film covers the whole surface of the top paper board and adheres to the top paper board excepting the stamping-face plate held therein.

The present invention is to maintain the viewability of display without impairing operability on a terminal side, even when the details of a touch operation performed on a display terminal device are transmitted to an external display device for display. In the present invention, when a touch operation is detected in an external transmission mode, the display terminal device generates details of a composite screen obtained by superimposing operation information (operation icon or animation image) indicating details of the touch operation on contents being displayed on the display screen (terminal screen), and transmits the contents of the composite screen to the external display device so as to change display contents on the external display device (display contents on its screen).

A server apparatus and a server control method which transmits display data to a client apparatus and which displays the display data on a display screen of the client apparatus, wherein there are provided a plurality of accelerators, each of the plurality of accelerators being equipped with a difference detection circuit which compares the display data for a previous screen transmitted to the client apparatus with the display data for a current screen to be transmitted to the client apparatus to detect a difference therebetween. Then, the size of a drawing area to be allocated to each of the plurality of accelerators is calculated for each of the accelerators in response to a request from the client apparatus, and when a display request is made from a new client apparatus, the accelerator having a smaller drawing area among the calculated drawing areas is allocated to the new client apparatus.

An information service providing system using a network comprises a terminal group, an information processing center, and various types of databases. When a portable terminal transmits the category of information service and the retrieval condition data to the information processing center, the center selects the necessary database on the basis of the category of service and searches the databases selected in a chain reaction manner using a retrieval result as the next retrieval condition so as to fulfill the retrieval conditions. Then, the center outputs the retrieval results of the databases to the terminal.

A processor outputs a state signal representing the process state toga reset circuit. Upon reception of a reset signal from an external reset switch, the reset circuit outputs the reset signal to the reset terminal of the processor under the condition that the state signal allows a reset operation. The reset circuit also has a counter for starting a count operation upon reception of an externally input reset signal. Even when the processor is in a runaway state and cannot output the state signal for allowing the reset operation, a forced reset signal is supplied to the processor after a predetermined time is counted by the counter.
