In a fastener chain, at least some warps constituting a woven fastener tape are provided with a flame retardant phosphorus-copolymerized polyester fiber and wefts constituting the same fastener tape are provided with a synthetic fiber that is not phosphorus-copolymerized and that has a higher degree of tensile strength than the flame retardant polyester fiber. With this configuration, superior flame retardancy can be stably obtained and there is no variance in the flame retardancy of the fastener chains. In the fastener chain, the heat contraction of the warp is used to improve the chain horizontal pull force, and by increasing the frictional resistance between the warp and the weft, shifting of the weave pattern of the fastener tape can be prevented. Further, the fastener chain can be provided at a low cost because of the small amount of flame retardant polyester fiber used.

A woven tape for a slide fastener comprising an element mounting portion and a tape main portion, wherein the tape portion includes warp having a fineness of 30-100 dTex and a weaving density of 100-220 yarns/inch (2.54 cm), weft having a fineness of 60-180 dTex and a weaving density of 30-80 yarns/inch (2.54 cm), and a ratio of the number of yarns in the warp constituting a plain weave structure to the total number of yarns in the warp in the tape main portion is at least 40%. The woven tape for a slide fastener has a low weight and yet a high strength.

The invention provides a fastener stringer for a concealed slide fastener in which right and left fastener tapes respectively include a tape body portion, a tape bend portion bent into a U-shape and an element mounting portion, a hollow weave portion is formed at each fastener tape, and a film body is accommodated in the hollow weave portion in a state of being sewn together with a fastener element as one side edge thereof being located to the tape bend portion side from a sewing thread. Accordingly, since stiffness of the hollow weave portion is improved by the film body, a closely-contacted state between the right and left tape bend portions is stably maintained and concealing characteristics of the concealed slide fastener can be improved.

The invention provides a fastener stringer for a hidden slide fastener. Each of the fastener tapes includes a main tape body, a folded tape portion which is folded into a U-shape, and an element attaching portion. The folded tape portion includes at least two multiple-weave portions in which warp yarn forms a multiple-weave structure, and a single-weave portion arranged at least at one location of an intermediate portion of the folded tape portion. According to this, it is possible to enhance rigidity of the folded tape portion in a lateral direction of a tape, and to prevent a position of the warp yarn from being misaligned at the multiple-weave portion. Therefore, hiding performance of the hidden slide fastener can be enhanced.

The present invention provides a band body which is used for a strap of a cordless telephone, a pull tab of a slider, and the like, has a proper degree of rigidity and flexibility, and is easy to handle and use. Multifilaments of synthetic fiber are used as warp yarns at opposite longitudinal edge portions of the band body, hollow pipe wire rods molded from thermoplastic resin and having a diameter in a range of 0.5 to 2.0 mm are used as warp yarns at a center portion of the band body, and a monofilament which is synthetic fiber is used as a weft yarn so as to form thick, flexible, and resilient woven fabrics at the opposite longitudinal edge portions of the band body and a thin, rigid, and resilient woven fabric at the center portion of the band body.

The present invention provides a slide fastener having a three-dimensional reflecting function on faces of fastener tapes by simple structure and means. Each of reflective tapes is provided separately from a fastener tape and has a band-shaped attaching portion, a bulging edge portion integrally formed on a longitudinal edge portion of the attaching portion, and a reflective portion formed by providing a retroreflective film or the like on the bulging edge portion. Each the reflective tape is attached to the fastener tape beside fastener elements such that at least a distance corresponding to a thickness of a flange of a slider is maintained between the bulging edge portion and the fastener elements, the reflective portion of the bulging edge portion appears and protrudes from a surface of the fastener tape, and that the bulging edge portion can swing. Each the reflective portion is not damaged by a sliding movement of the slider and can exhibit a three-dimensional reflecting function.
