Information on content supplied in various forms is monitored for a long period, and a user is notified of the information with a method with which the user can easily remember the information. A content notification system includes: a search key storage server configured to receive image data on content, and store the image data; an information collection server configured to read out the image data from the search key storage server, perform a search through a network based on the image data to find a new form in which the content is supplied, and collect information on the content supplied in the new form; and one or more user terminal devices each configured to receive the image data used for the search from the information collection server and the information, and display the information together with the image data.

System and method for content notification and user terminal device

A network system according to an implementation of the present invention involves: determining whether or not a matching address is found by comparing (i) an apparatus address, of an apparatus connected to an HDMI network, which is obtained via the HDMI network with (ii) an apparatus address, of an apparatus connected to another network, which is obtained via the other network (S). Here, the matching address represents a match between the apparatuses addresses. When determining that the matching address is found, the implementation of the present invention involves determining that the terminal apparatus having the matching address is connected to a control apparatus via both of the HDMI network and the other network (S).

In connection management by a conventional server apparatus using IDs, a client apparatus cannot know an attribute of a connection corresponding to an ID. A server apparatus () is an AV server apparatus that distributes content to a client apparatus requesting content data. A communication unit () receives a logical connection establishment request or a physical connection establishment request from the client apparatus. A content data distribution unit () establishes a physical connection for distributing the content data to the client apparatus, when the physical connection establishment request is received. A connection information management unit () establishes a logical connection, when the logical connection establishment request is received or as a result of the establishment of the physical connection. The connection information management unit () further generates an ID (connection ID) that corresponds to the logical connection and belongs to a value range associated with a logical connection category (type).

AV server apparatus and connection management method

There is provided an AV server capable of internally establishing a logical connection and appropriately managing connection with a plurality of client devices even when a physical connection is firstly requested from a client device. The AV server includes a communication unit which communicates with the client device via a communication channel; a protocol processing unit which performs processes including retrieval of a UPnP AV-compliant device and capability exchange based on the logical connection; a content data accumulation unit which accumulates content data such as a recorded TV program, moving image data and still image data therein; a content data distribution unit which distributes the content data accumulated in the content data accumulation unit; and a connection management unit which manages HTTP connection session information based on the physical connection for distributing the content data.
