When software of a first electronic control unit that controls charging of an auxiliary machinery battery from a power supply by controlling a charging device is rewritten, an onboard system is configured so that charging of the auxiliary machine battery from the power supply is controlled by one or more electronic control units different from the first electronic control unit. Accordingly, even when the software of the first electronic control unit that controls the charging of the auxiliary machinery battery is rewritten, the auxiliary machinery battery can be charged by one or more electronic control units different from the first electronic control unit when the software is rewritten, and the power for rewriting the software of the first electronic control unit can be secured. This can ensure power to rewrite the software of the first electronic control unit.

Onboard system

A hybrid vehicle includes a control unit. The control unit limits an output of an electrically powered compressor included in an air conditioner when a shutter has a closed failure in which the shutter cannot be set to an opened state.

Hybrid vehicle

A hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, an electric power storage device, an electric motor, a shutter, and an electronic control unit. The shutter is configured to introduce air into an engine compartment of the hybrid vehicle from outside the hybrid vehicle during traveling of the hybrid vehicle in a state where the shutter is open. The electronic control unit is configured to control the internal combustion engine, the electric motor and the shutter. The electronic control unit is configured to control the hybrid vehicle such that starting of the internal combustion engine is more suppressed in a case where the shutter is in a malfunctioning state than in a case where the shutter is not in the malfunctioning state. The malfunctioning state is a state where an opening degree of the shutter does not reach a predetermined opening degree.

Hybrid vehicle and control method for the same

A vehicle includes a driving source, a shutter device, and a controller. The driving source is configured to generate a driving force. The shutter device is configured to adjust an amount of air for cooling the driving source. The controller is configured to control the driving source and is configured to restrict an operation of the driving source based on a temperature of the driving source when a failure of the shutter device is detected.

The present specification discloses a motor controller for an electric vehicle having a battery, a converter circuit, an inverter circuit, a smoothing capacitor, and a motor, the motor controller configured to control a drive of the motor by controlling an operation of the inverter circuit. In this motor controller, an operating region of the motor that causes a resonance of an LC circuit configured by a reactor of the converter circuit and the smoothing capacitor is set as a resonance region. In this motor controller, execution of square-wave control on the motor is permitted only over a predetermined time period, when the converter circuit is not boosting the DC power and an operating point of the motor is included in the resonance region.
