A two-dimensional code pattern includes: a boundary pattern in which each of pixels in a group are set into a turn-on state or a turn-off state; a rotation detection pattern in which each pixel belonging to a group in each block is set into the turn-on state or the turn-off state by a light emitting pattern which can detect a rotational angle upon reading of the block; and an information pattern in which both of each pixel belonging to a first quadrant region in the block and each pixel belonging to a third quadrant region are set into the turn-on state or the turn-off state according to first information data and both of each pixel belonging to a second quadrant region and each pixel belonging to a fourth quadrant region are set into the turn-on state or the turn-off state according to second information data.

A display having separate transmitting and receiving sets is provided with a feature to simplify adjustment to the video signal transmission path between the both sets. The display employs a directional video signal transmission path and a sub communication path using a non-directional communication medium independent from the transmission path. Fine adjustment to subtly adjust the spatial matching of the video signal transmission path is carried out using a control signal transmitted through the sub communication path. Coarse adjustment to roughly adjust the spatial matching of the video signal transmission path is carried out using a test video image displayed at the display portion of the receiving set. These fine adjustment and coarse adjustment are combined to keep an optimum spatial matching of the video signal transmission path between the sets.

Video display apparatus

A communicating apparatus performs an asynchronous communication with a base station. The communicating apparatus is provided with: a receiving device for receiving a down link signal, which is transmitted from the base station and in which a division signal is inserted for each of constant time intervals; a detecting device for detecting division signals out of the received down link signal, in phase to the constant time intervals; an adding device for adding the detected division signals over a predetermined time duration, which is longer than the constant time interval, with matching phases for each of the constant time intervals, so as to generate accumulated additional values; and a memory device for storing the accumulated additional values generated by the adding device, to thereby perform synchronization capturing with the base station on the basis of the accumulated additional values added over the predetermined time duration and stored in the memory device.

Communicating apparatus and communicating method

When the quick traverse play back command (or, quick returning play back command) of the audio information by the compression audio information is given to the play back apparatus, by the control of the control section, the special audio according to the temporarily stored data stored in the first storage means is repeatedly played back, instead of the play back of the audio by the ordinary play back operation.

Play back apparatus

A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations arranged in a communication area, each emitting a radio wave inherent thereto and a mobile station moving in the communication area and communicating with respective base stations via the transmitted radio waves. There is previously stored a location correlation data group including correlation data representing correlation situations of a plurality of arriving radio waves produced by the transmitted radio waves at respective ones of a plurality of sampling locations within the communication area, the location correlation data corresponding to respective locations. Upon reception of radio waves at a current location of the mobile station, current correlation data is calculated representing correlation situations among received arriving radio waves for the respective mobile station. The location correlation data in the location correlation data group is compared with the current correlation data, and the current position of the mobile stations is determined in accordance with a result of the comparison, generating the determined current position data.

Mobile communication system with mobile station position detection

A mobile communication apparatus and method which extract surrounding base stations within a certain defined area centered at a present location of a mobile unit, carry out an arithmetic operation for obtaining a specified weighting coefficient with respect to each of the extracted surrounding base stations on the basis of a direction of each of the extracted surrounding base stations from the present location of the mobile unit and a traveling direction of the mobile unit carry out a further arithmetic operation for weighting a value of the electric field strength of a signal recieved from each of the surrounding base stations with the weighting coefficient of a corresponding surrounding base station to provide a weighted electric field strength of each of the extracted surrounding base station, and select the one base station from the extracted surrounding base stations depending on a value of the weighted electric field strength.

Apparatus and method for mobile communication

A receiving device is provided with a DLL circuit of a reduced scale. An inverse spreading processing to ensure the synchronism with a received signal and a processing to inversely spread original data in the received signal are performed by a time-sharing operation using one inverse spreading circuit and one integrator. During a period in which synchronous data for detecting a slot duration included in the received signal is received, the synchronous data is alternately inversely spread by an early code and a late code and sample-hold circuits alternately sample and hold the integrated output. Further, based on the difference (error signal) between sample-hold signals, the early code, the late code and a reference code outputted from a code sequence generator are synchronized with the received signal. Then, the inverse spreading circuit and an integrator inversely spread the original data in the received signal based on the synchronized reference code and a detection output is generated by integrating the inverse spreading output.

Receiving device for spread spectrum communication system

A code error correcting circuit interleaves original data comprising a sequence of bit data having a length of p bits by arranging the bit data of the original data into a hypothetical matrix of I rows and J columns and then selecting the bit data positioned on the i row along an order of the j column. The circuit is provided with a memory unit having a plurality of memory areas each having a length of 2 bits; and a controller for storing the original data to be interleaved into the memory areas respectively. The bit data, which are indicated by a bit select data, stored in the memory unit are sequentially outputted along an order of the i row and the j column in the hypothetical matrix as the interleaved original data.

Code error correcting circuit, code error correcting method, communicating apparatus and communicating method

A communication apparatus for communicating with one base station among a plurality of base stations is provided with a present position detecting device for detecting a present position of the communication apparatus and outputting present position information indicative of the detected present position. The communication apparatus is also provided with an identification information obtaining device for obtaining identification information of respective one of the base stations on the basis of the present position information outputted by the present position detecting device. The communication apparatus is further provided with a specifying device for specifying said one base station on the basis of the identification information obtained by the identification information obtaining device.
