A battery diagnosis device mounted on a vehicle includes a processor that acquires information about a battery and executes diagnosis of the state of the battery. Battery diagnosis device, battery diagnosis method, non-transitory storage medium, and vehicle

A vehicular battery control device controls an electric storage amount of a battery as which a lithium-ion battery is employed. The vehicular battery control device includes a control unit that reduces the electric storage amount of the battery until the electric storage amount of the battery assumes a second state, before the lapse of a first time, when the electric storage amount of the battery assumes a first state and it is predicted that a charge current will flow in the first time. The first state is a state where lithium metal is precipitated by charging the battery with a predetermined amount of electric power, and the second state is a state where no lithium metal is precipitated even when the charge current flows through the battery.

Vehicular battery control device

A battery control device that controls a battery assembly includes a first determining unit that determines whether a voltage difference between minimum and maximum values of OCVs of battery cells constituting the battery assembly and having an SOC-OCV characteristic curve including a flat region is equal to or larger than a predetermined voltage value, a second determining unit that determines whether the OCV of each battery cell is lower than a lower-limit voltage of the flat region, or is equal to or higher than the lower-limit voltage and lower than an upper-limit voltage, or is higher than the upper-limit voltage, a controller that executes control selected from SOC raising control, SOC lowering control, and SOC keeping control of the battery cells, based on determination results of the first and second determining units, and a processor that homogenizes the SOCs of the battery cells controlled by the controller.

Battery control device for homogenizing battery cells

A battery control device, which controls a battery, including cell blocks connected in series in which battery cells are connected in parallel, to execute voltage equalization of the cell blocks, includes a detection unit that detects voltage between positive and negative electrodes of each cell block, a voltage equalization circuit that includes a plurality of discharge units in which at least one discharge element and a switching element are connected in series, and a control unit that controls the switching elements to equalize the voltages of the cell blocks. The discharge units are connected between the positive and negative electrodes of the cell blocks, respectively. The control unit controls the switching elements at a predetermined timing to execute discharge of the cell blocks, and determines whether there is an abnormality in the cell blocks based on voltage differences between the cell blocks before and after the discharge.

Battery control device and abnormality sensing method

A control device includes: a voltage control unit that sequentially switches a command voltage of a direct current-direct current converter between different predetermined measurement voltages to control the command voltage; an obtaining unit that obtains, for each of the measurement voltages, a first terminal voltage of a battery when constant current discharge is performed and a second terminal voltage of the battery when constant current charge is performed; and a correction unit that corrects an SOV-OCV characteristic curve indicating a relationship between the state of charge and an open circuit voltage of the battery, based on a comparison between the first terminal voltages newly obtained by the obtaining unit and the first terminal voltages immediately previously obtained by the obtaining unit and a comparison between the second terminal voltages newly obtained by the obtaining unit and the second terminal voltages immediately previously obtained by the obtaining unit.

A vehicle control device configured to control charge and discharge of a battery mounted on a vehicle includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain a parking time of the vehicle, a setting unit configured to derive a charge voltage of the battery based on at least the parking time obtained by the obtaining unit, and a voltage control unit configured to control charge of the battery based on the charge voltage of the battery derived by the setting unit when the vehicle is traveling.

A power supply control device that estimates a full charge capacity of a battery includes a determination unit that determines whether there is a need to correct a currently estimated full charge capacity when a state of charge of the battery is equal to or greater than a first predetermined value at a timing at which a power supply of the vehicle is turned OFF, a power transfer unit that transfers a predetermined power from the battery to another battery when the determination unit determines that there is a need to correct the currently estimated full charge capacity, and a capacity estimation unit that performs a predetermined full charge capacity estimating process on the battery at a timing at which the power supply of the vehicle is turned ON after power transfer by the power transfer unit or during the power transfer by the power transfer unit.

Power supply control device

A state of charge estimation device includes a memory section, a measurement section, a time measurement section, and an estimation section. The memory section memorizes a specified dark current, which flows at an auxiliary battery while the vehicle is parked, and a first state of charge at a most recent time the vehicle was parked before being started. The measurement section measures an open circuit voltage. The time measurement section measures an elapsed time from the time the vehicle was parked to the time it is started. The estimation section updates the specified dark current memorized in the memory section such that a second state of charge approaches a third state of charge. If the open circuit voltage is in a first region, the estimation section estimates a state of charge on the basis of the first state of charge, the specified dark current, and an elapsed time.

State of charge estimation device

An auxiliary device battery sensor measures current and voltage of an auxiliary device battery. On the basis of a peak value and frequency of current measured by the auxiliary device battery sensor at a time when the current and the voltage of the auxiliary device battery change in accordance with requirements of a load, a monitoring ECU sets a waveform for measurement that is for measuring resistance of the auxiliary device battery. Further, the monitoring ECU controls a DDC that is connected to the auxiliary device battery, such that a waveform of the current of the auxiliary device battery becomes the waveform for measurement. The monitoring ECU estimates resistance of the auxiliary device battery on the basis of current and voltage measured by the auxiliary device battery sensor at a time of controlling the DDC.

A sensor abnormality determination device that determines abnormality in a current sensor includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a closed circuit voltage of the battery and acquires an open circuit voltage of the battery obtained from a state of charge of the battery when the closed circuit voltage is acquired based on a predetermined SOC&#x2212;OCV characteristic curve, a derivation unit configured to derive a first voltage difference which is a difference value between the closed circuit voltage and the open circuit voltage and a second voltage difference which is a change amount of a voltage obtained from a current of the battery detected by the current sensor and an internal resistance, and a determination unit configured to determine whether the current sensor is abnormal based on the first and the second voltage difference when the first voltage difference is equal to or larger than a first predetermined value.

Sensor abnormality determination device

A battery control unit includes an estimation device, a setting device, and a control device. When an open circuit voltage of the battery falls within a range of a flat region, the setting device sets the control storage amount to a first storage amount determined from the lower limit voltage of the flat region, the control device charges the battery until the open circuit voltage becomes a first voltage exceeding the upper limit voltage of the flat region after a vehicle comes into a drivable state, and the setting device sets a storage amount estimated by the estimation device to a control storage amount until the open circuit voltage reaches the first voltage, and sets a second storage amount determined from the open circuit voltage to the control storage amount after the open circuit voltage reaches the first voltage.

Battery control unit

A determination method of smoke emission in a battery includes: calculating first and second internal resistance values, of each of the parallel circuits in first and subsequent second periods, respectively; acquiring a temperature value of each of parallel circuits; and determining the smoke emission in at least one of cells included in one of the parallel circuits, when at least detecting that the one of the parallel circuits has the second internal resistance value smaller than the first internal resistance value, and has an increase in the temperature value within a period defined based on the first and second periods.
