A vehicle shroud can have an opening formed so as to extend in a substantially front-to-rear direction. A substantially horizontal portion of a front fender of the vehicle can be located frontward of the opening. The vehicle can be a motorcycle, for example.

A vehicle shroud can include a frontward portion, an intermediate portion, and a rearward portion. The vehicle shroud can have formed therein at least one opening extending in a substantially front-to-rear direction. A substantially horizontal portion of a front fender of the vehicle can be located frontward of, and be substantially aligned with, the opening. The vehicle can be a motorcycle, for example.

An engine supporting device for a motorcycle includes a first frame section having a head pipe portion supporting a front fork, a second frame section supporting a rear arm and connected to the first frame section and an engine supported between the first and second frame sections and having a standing cylinder section. The second frame section has an extension made from a forged product and extends toward a region above the cylinder section of the engine. A hanger bracket that suspends the cylinder section is mounted to the extension.

A dry sump type lubrication device for a motorcycle includes a four stroke engine having, in a crankcase bottom, a first oil pump for collecting lubricating oil and a second oil pump for delivering lubricating oil. A frame supporting the four-stroke engine and having left and right down tubes running around the crankcase from the crankcase front thereof toward a region therebelow is provided. An oil tank is disposed in a region surrounded by a forward end of the crankcase and the left and right down tubes, a return passage for the lubricating oil collected by the first oil pump to be returned to the oil tank. A feed passage for the lubricating oil returned to the oil tank to be introduced into the second oil pump and an overflow passage for the lubricating oil in the oil tank to be returned to the four-stroke engine are also provided.

Dry sump type lubrication device for a motorcycle

A motorcycle frame and trailing arm construction for providing a extremely high strength, light weight assembly. The frame is comprised of a head pipe and a pair of downwardly and rearwardly extending main frame members the center of which substantially intersect a pivot axis for a trailing arm that supports the motorcycle rear wheel. The trailing arm has a triangular configuration in side elevation and the rear suspension element is loaded by the thickest portion of the trailing arm so as to provide high strength. A bearing arrangement is incorporated for the trailing arm that permits removal of the driving sprocket that is concealed behind the trailing arm for servicing.

A motorcycle construction having a seat and a pair of foot pegs to accommodate the feet of the rider seated on the seat. A brake system for the motorcycle includes a master cylinder that is operated by a pedal at one side of the motorcycle through a force applying linkage system. The power unit of the motorcycle includes a change speed transmission which is operated by a pedal positioned at the other side of the motorcycle through a force applying linkage system. Both the brake and transmission control pedals are spaced inwardly of the foot pegs and forwardly thereof so as to afford a narrow construction.

Pedal structure for motorcycle

A motorcycle construction that lends itself to motocross use and yet which has a lightweight racing type frame with an engine arrangement to provide a low center of gravity. Although the engine is positioned low in the frame, its components and specifically the intake and exhaust system are designed so as to be well protected and a protective covering surrounds the engine so as to also protect it. This protective covering is formed by a liquid tank such as a fuel tank for the engine and also serves to reinforce the frame assembly.
