Flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition

A flame-retardant chlorine-containing resin composition is obtained by blending components (A), (B), and (C), and additionally component (D) if necessary, into a chlorine-containing resin: Component (A): a (poly)phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (1); Component (B): a (poly)phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (3); Component (C): wood flour; and Component (D): zinc oxide. In the formula (1), n represents a number from 1 to 100; Xrepresents e.g. a triazine derivative represented by the general formula (2); and 0&#x3c;p&#x2266;n+2. In the formula (2), Zand Zeach represent e.g. a &#x2014;NRRgroup. In the formula (3), r represents a number from 1 to 100; Yrepresents e.g. [RRN(CH)mNRR]; R, R, R, and Reach represent e.g. a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; m represents an integer from 1 to 10; and 0&#x3c;q&#x2266;r+2.

Flame-retardant chlorine-containing resin composition

Described herein is a non-halogen flame-retardant synthetic resin composition which contains the (poly)phosphate compound represented by the following formulae (1)and (3)and layered silicate: where Xis ammonia or a triazine derivative and Yis a diamine containing a [RRN(CH)mNRR] group, piperazine or a diamine containing a piperazine ring.

The present invention is a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition characterized by combining (A) (poly) phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (1), (B) (poly) phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (3) and (C) polycarbodiimide described in claim 1. n in the formula (1) is a number of 1&#x2dc;100, Xis a triazine derivative represented by the following general formula (2) and P is a number satisfying a relational formula 0&#x3c;p&#x2266;n+2. Zand Zin the formula (2) are groups selected from a &#x2014;NRRgroup [herein, Rand Rare a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1&#x2dc;6 carbon atoms or a methylol group], a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, an alkyl group having 1&#x2dc;10 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1&#x2dc;10 carbon atoms, a phenyl group or a vinyl group. r in the general formula (3) is a number of 1&#x2dc;100, Yis a diamine containing [RRN(CH)NRR], piperazine or a diamine containing a piperazine ring. R, R, Rand Rare each a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1&#x2dc;5 carbon atoms, m is an integer of 1&#x2dc;10, q is a number satisfying a relational formula 0&#x3c;q&#x2266;r+2.

The invention provides a flame retardant composition comprising 1-99 weight parts of a salt of piperazine and an inorganic compound selected from among piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these piperazine salts (ingredient (A)), 99-1 weight parts of a salt of melamine and an inorganic compound selected from among melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate and melamine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these melamine salts (ingredient (B)) (wherein, the sum of ingredient (A) and ingredient (B) is 100 weight parts), 0-50 weight parts of an arbitrary ingredient (ingredient (C)), and 0.01-20 weight parts of a silicone oil having a viscosity at 25&#xb0; C. of 5000 mm/s (ingredient (D)) which is added thereto. This flame retardant not only has superior flame retarding properties, but also has enhanced powder properties and anti-hygroscopic properties, and when it is added to a resin, there is little change of electrical resistance.
