A seat belt retractor includes a housing including a pair of side walls facing each other, a winding drum configured to wind up a webbing, a locking base being prevented from being rotated in the pull-out direction, in an emergency of a vehicle, an impact energy absorbing member connecting the winding drum and the locking base so as to be integrally rotatable in a normal state, an impact energy absorbing wire housed in a slot provided in the winding drum so as to form an opening in the first end surface of the winding drum, a ring provided integrally with or separately from the locking base, and a stopper member being configured to define an allowable amount of relative rotation between the winding drum and the locking base in a case where the impact energy absorbing member absorbs the impact energy.

Seat belt retractor

A seat belt retractor includes a vehicle acceleration sensor. The vehicle acceleration sensor includes a sensor holder including a placement surface and an attachment member to which the sensor holder is coupled. The attachment member is attached to the housing in a state in which the sensor holder is in either a first posture or a second posture. The sensor holder is configured to be coupled to the attachment member at any one of a plurality of angular positions. The plurality of angular positions are positions of the sensor holder in a case where the sensor holder rotates around a rotation axis. A plurality of sensor attachment angles corresponding to the plurality of angular positions are different between the first posture and the second posture. The plurality of sensor attachment angles are angles, with respect to the housing, of the center line of the placement surface.

A seat belt retractor includes a housing including a first side wall and a second side wall facing each other, a winding drum configured to wind up a webbing, a locking base, a torsion bar including one end side, which is opposite to the locking base, coupled to the winding drum without being rotatable relative to the winding drum, and the other end side coupled to the locking base without being rotatable relative to the locking base, a pretensioner including: a pretensioner casing attached to the first side wall; and a drive wheel attached to the locking base, a lock member located in the locking base, and a stopper member being screwed onto a male screw of the locking base.

A seat belt retractor includes a housing including a pair of side walls facing each other, a winding drum configured to wind up a webbing, a locking base prevented from being rotated in the pull-out direction, in an emergency of a vehicle, an impact energy absorbing member including a first end side coupled to the winding drum and a second end side coupled to the locking base, the impact energy absorbing member connecting the winding drum and the locking base so as to be integrally rotatable, in a normal state, at least one impact energy absorbing wire housed in at least one slot that is provided in the winding drum, and a stopper member configured to define an allowable amount of relative rotation between the winding drum and the locking base in a case where the impact energy absorbing member absorbs the impact energy.

A retractor of a seat belt apparatus includes a spool that is configured to wind the seat belt while allowing the seat belt to be pulled out, a motor that includes a shaft coupled to the spool and generates a rotational resistance force against the spool rotating in a direction to pull out the seat belt, the rotational resistance force corresponding to the rotation of the spool and the shaft caused by pulling out of the seat belt, a rotational resistance member that is coupled to the spool and generates a rotational resistance force against the spool rotating in the direction to pull out the seat belt when the seat belt is pulled out in the event of vehicle collision, and a reducing mechanism that reduces the rotation of the spool and transmits a reduced rotation to the shaft.

Vehicle seat belt apparatus

An engagement-side flange portion, one of a pair of flange portions on the respective axial ends of a webbing-take-up portion of a take-up drum, is positioned to face engagement teeth and includes a projecting portion formed to project radially outward from its peripheral edge that faces a pawl when the pawl moves to reach engagement position with the engagement teeth. Outer peripheral diameter of engagement-side flange portion is smaller than inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth. Maximum outer peripheral dimension formed by the projecting portion and engagement-side flange portion is larger than inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth. In a state where the take-up drum is attached to a housing, the projecting portion projects radially outward over inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth that is located at axially outward side of the projecting portion.

A lock member includes a closed cylindrical portion having lock teeth and a fixation boss provided inside the cylindrical portion and inserted in a fitting hole formed at one end of the take-up drum and facing the take-up drum along an axial direction of the cylindrical portion. A stopper mechanism includes a ring member whose inner peripheral surface is mounted on the fixation boss and whose outer peripheral surface is fitted in the fitting hole so as to prohibit relative rotation with respect to the fitting hole. The ring member is movable relative to the fixation boss in the axial direction of the take-up drum by the relative rotation with respect to the fixation boss. Further, movable area allowed for the ring member to move on the fixation boss axially outward with respect to the take-up drum has an movable end located inside of the closed cylindrical portion.
