A webbing take-up device is obtained capable of securing sealing properties to gas generated by actuation of a gas generator. A switching mechanism of a webbing take-up device is equipped with a body, a gas generator, a piston that is actuated on receipt of pressure of gas generated by the gas generator, and a cylinder that internally houses the piston. A sheet and a support plate are attached to the body. Crushable ribs are provided to the sheet. The crushable ribs press the cylinder through a general portion of the sheet by attaching the sheet and the support plate to the body.

Webbing take-up device

In a webbing winding device, even when a piston moves toward the other side in a movement direction due to a reaction when the piston moves to a maximum movement position, an engagement surface of a hook portion comes into contact with a subject engagement surface of a subject engagement portion, so that the movement of the piston toward the other side in the movement direction is restricted. Accordingly, the piston is prevented from returning to a standby position, and a pawl is prevented from returning to a lock position. For this reason, a state where a rotation of a locking ring in the pull-out direction is maintained. Accordingly, after the piston moves from the standby position to the maximum movement position, the piston is prevented from returning to the standby position, and the force limiter load is prevented from being changed.

Webbing winding device

A webbing take-up device enabling a reduction in size of an overload release mechanism and easy adjustment of an operation torque of the overload release mechanism is provided. In the overload release mechanism of this webbing take-up device, rotary force of a large diameter gear is transmitted to a small diameter gear via plural annular friction springs. The friction springs are disposed between an inner periphery face of a main body portion of the large diameter gear and a tubular portion of the small diameter gear, side by side along an axial direction of the two gears. Consequently, a radial direction enlargement of the large diameter gear and small diameter gear due to space for disposing the friction springs may be restrained. Moreover, the operation torque of the overload release mechanism may be adjusted stepwise by changing the number of the friction springs to be used, in accordance with requirements.

A webbing take-up device includes a speed-reduction mechanism that reduces rotation speed of a motor to transmit rotation force to a take-up shaft. An overload release mechanism is disposed at a middle position of the speed-reduction mechanism. The overload release mechanism includes a large-diameter gear rotating with the rotation speed of the motor being reduced and the rotation force being transmitted, a spring member mounted to the large-diameter gear, and a small-diameter gear provided to rotate relatively to the large-diameter gear, rotating the take-up shaft when the rotation speed thereof is reduced and the rotation force is transmitted to the take-up shaft, engaging with the spring member to become a state where relative rotation with respect to the large-diameter gear is stopped, and slides with the spring member when the rotation force acts between the large-diameter gear to become a state where relative rotation to the large-diameter gear is allowed.
