A vehicle is provided with an interior chamber apart from a passenger compartment, and a container chamber in which a high pressure gas container is accommodated. A heat generating body is accommodated in the interior chamber. Further, in the vehicle, there are formed introduction ports through which atmospheric air is introduced into the interior chamber, a communication passage that enables communication between the interior chamber and the container chamber, and a lead-out port through which the atmospheric air is led out from the container chamber. The atmospheric air that is introduced into the interior chamber through the introduction ports flows into the container chamber via the communication passage, and furthermore, is led out to the exterior of the container chamber from the lead-out port.

Vehicle equipped with high pressure gas container

A method for controlling a fuel cell vehicle including a fuel cell to generate electric power via an electrochemical reaction between fuel gas and oxidant gas, the method includes determining whether the fuel cell vehicle is in a fuel supply state in which the fuel gas is supplied from an outside of the fuel cell vehicle into a fuel storage chamber via a filling lid box of the fuel cell vehicle. It is determined that the fuel gas does not leak, even if a fuel gas detector provided in the filling lid box detects the fuel gas when the fuel cell vehicle is in the fuel supply state.

Method for controlling fuel cell vehicle

A high pressure tank apparatus includes a high pressure tank, a leaked fluid container, and a supply/discharge side discharge flow path. The high pressure tank includes a liner made of resin, a reinforced layer that covers an outer surface of the liner, an insertion member that has formed therein a supply/discharge hole capable of communicating with an inside of the liner and the supply/discharge flow path; and a supply/discharge side cap in which are formed an insertion hole through which the insertion member is inserted and a supply/discharge side draw-out hole that draws out the fluid interposed between the liner and the reinforced layer. The supply/discharge side discharge flow path guides a temporarily released fluid that is the fluid drawn out via the supply/discharge side draw-out hole to a discharge region.

High pressure tank apparatus

A high pressure tank of a high pressure tank apparatus includes: a resin-made liner; a reinforced layer covering an outer surface of the liner; and a supplying/discharging hole to which a supplying/discharging flow path is connected via a connecting section. A storage section is capable of storing a leaked fluid that has leaked from the connecting section and a temporary release fluid that has been led out from between the liner and the reinforced layer. A control section, when an internal pressure detection value of the high pressure tank due to a pressure sensor is greater than a threshold value, judges whether the leaked fluid has occurred, based on a detection result of a sensor detecting a concentration of a hydrogen gas inside the storage section, and otherwise does based on a detection result of the pressure sensor.

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell formed by stacking a plurality of power generation cells, and an oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus for supplying an oxygen-containing gas to the fuel cell. The oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus includes an oxygen-containing gas supply channel connected to an oxygen-containing gas inlet of the fuel cell for allowing the oxygen-containing gas to flow from an air pump into the oxygen-containing gas inlet, a branch supply channel branched from the oxygen-containing gas supply channel and which is opened to the inside of a fuel cell chamber, an oxygen-containing gas discharge channel for discharging an oxygen-containing off gas from the fuel cell, and an oxygen-containing off gas circulation channel one end of which is connected to the oxygen-containing gas discharge channel, and another end of which is connected to the oxygen-containing gas supply channel at a position upstream from the air pump.

Disclosed is a fuel cell system which includes a fuel cell having an anode and a cathode and for producing electricity through reaction between the fuel gas and the oxidant gas, a fuel gas supply path through which the fuel gas passes, an oxidant gas supply path through which the oxidant gas passes, a voltage sensing device for detecting voltage produced by the fuel cell during power generation, and a decision device for determining whether or not cross leakage occurs between the anode and the cathode of the fuel cell, based on voltage information sent from the voltage sensing device. Moreover, the decision device determines that the cross leakage occurs between the anode and the cathode, if the voltage produced by the fuel cell is less than a predetermined value during the power generation.

Fuel cell system configured to detect failure and process for dealing with failure of the system

The fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell stack which is supplied with reaction gas, and performs electricity generation; a reaction gas supplier which supplies the reaction gas to the fuel cell stack; a ground fault detector which detects a ground fault from the fuel cell stack; and a reaction gas increasing member which increases an amount of a reaction gas supply to the fuel cell stack, when the ground fault is detected by the ground fault detector.

The fuel cell vehicle, includes a fuel cell generating electricity by an electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen; an accessory for the fuel cell; and a fuel cell system box mounted on a vehicle body and housing the fuel cell and the accessory, wherein the fuel cell system box is formed in a vessel shape which has a bottom wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall, the first side wall supporting at least one pipe through which a fluid supplied to the fuel cell flows, and the first side wall is constituted of a material having a specific gravity that is greater than that of the bottom wall and the second wall.

Fuel cell vehicle

An apparatus for cooling a fuel cell, which generates power by supplying air and a fuel gas, in which a cooling liquid is circulated between the fuel cell and a heat exchanger is disclosed. The cooling apparatus of the present invention separates the gas introduced into the cooling liquid, mixes the separated gas with the air supplied to or exhausted from the fuel cell, and then exhausts the gas.

Apparatus for cooling fuel cell

Hydrogen gas supplied to and then purged from a fuel cell is temporarily retained in a reservoir provided in an exhaust fuel diluter, and diluted before release into atmosphere. Cathode exhaust gas discharged from a cathode of the fuel cell is mixed to dilute the hydrogen gas, and air continues to be supplied to the cathode of the fuel cell for a specific period of time even after generation of electric power in the fuel cell is stopped, so that the hydrogen gas retained in the reservoir is continuously diluted with the cathode exhaust gas and released. Air for ventilation of the fuel cell may be used instead or in addition, to dilute and release the hydrogen gas retained in the reservoir after the generation of electric power in the fuel cell is stopped.

Exhaust gas processing device for fuel cell

An apparatus for dilution of discharged fuel of a fuel cell is provided, which has an inlet for guiding purged hydrogen gas coming from the fuel cell, a reservoir for storing the purged hydrogen gas guided through the inlet, and a cathode exhaust gas pipe penetrating the reservoir. The cathode exhaust gas pipe has a feature that it has holes inside the reservoir and is supplied with cathode exhaust gas of the fuel cell. Also the apparatus has a feature that the cathode exhaust gas pipe sucks the purged hydrogen gas stored in the reservoir through the holes and discharges the purged hydrogen gas diluted by mixing with the cathode exhaust gas.

Apparatus for dilution of discharged fuel

A discharged fuel diluter includes: a retention region with a predetermined volume, into which a fuel discharged from a fuel cell is retained at the time of purging; a dilution region with a predetermined volume, through which air discharged from the fuel cell flows and at which the air is mixed with the fuel from the retention region to dilute the fuel; and a communicating portion, through which the fuel flows from the retention region to the dilution region.
