A sensor cartridge () for use on a sensor feeder includes a cartridge body () and a mold (). The cartridge body () has an upper surface (), a front () extending continuously from the upper surface, and a plurality of sensor-holding slots (). Each of the sensor-holding slots () includes a first opening formed in the upper surface () and a second opening formed in the front () and communicating with the first opening. The mold () closes the first opening and second openings in case sensors are charged in the sensor-holding slots ().

Sensor cartridge, sensor feeder, and measuring instrument

A lancing device according to the present invention includes: a housing; a moving body movable relatively to the housing for forward movement of a needle; a driving mechanism for forward movement of the moving body; a hollow pressing portion at a front end of the housing for contact with a part where a puncture is to be made; and a pump mechanism capable of causing a vacuum to act inside the pressing portion. The pump mechanism is capable of adjusting the vacuum. The pump mechanism includes for example: a moving portion capable of reciprocating in a first direction and a second direction away from the first direction. Preferably, the adjustment of the vacuum is made by changing the number of reciprocations of the moving part in the first and the second directions.

The present invention relates to a lancing apparatus (A) comprising an apparatus body () including a housing () and a movable member for advancing a needle (), the movable member being arranged movably in the housing (), and a plurality of front end covers () each for coming into contact with a portion to be lanced in lancing. Preferably, the plurality of front end covers () have different structures adapted for lancing different portions and are removably attachable to a same portion of the apparatus body () individually. A suitable cover (or) for the portion to be lanced is selectable from the front end covers (), and the selected front end cover (or) is attached to the apparatus body () in use.

Body fluid measuring instrument and body fluid sampler thereof

A blood testing tool is provided, which separates blood cells and can collect blood plasma or blood serum with a high yield. The blood testing tool includes an asymmetric porous membrane with a pore size distribution in which an average pore size varies to be reduced continuously or discontinuously in a thickness direction. The porous membrane includes a blood supply portion, a development portion, and a blood-cell blocking portion formed between the blood supply portion and the development portion and pores in the blood cell blocking portion include only pores through which blood cells cannot pass. When blood is supplied to one side with larger pores of the blood supply portion, the blood moves in a direction parallel to a surface of the porous membrane by a capillary phenomenon, but only blood plasma or blood serum moves into the development portion to develop.

An automatic sample analyzer comprising, a plurality of sticks which have a plurality of reagent portions corresponding to different examination items so as to be divided into a plurality of groups of sticks by combinations of the examination items, a plurality of cassettes each having an outlet and a discriminatory mark, the discriminatory mark corresponding to one of the group of the sticks so as to accommodate the one of the group of the sticks, a removal device for automatically taking a desired one of the sticks of the cassettes by using a single removal mechanism.

A sensor 13 is inserted into a connector 14. A constant voltage required to obtain a response current is applied across the connector 14 by a voltage applying source 15 at timings required. A response current of the sensor 13 inserted into the connector 14 is converted into a voltage by a current-to-voltage converter 16, and the amount thereof is determined by a microcomputer, the analysis results being displayed onto a display unit.

Quantitative analysis method and its system using a disposable sensor

An analyzng device comprises a plate holding table, a shifting mechanism for shifting the plate holding table, bar code reading sensors, and a detecting unit for detecting the signals based on the drops of the solutions in the plate set on the plate holding table located in the plate measurement position. When the data of the bar code read by the bar code reading sensor is not fit for a predetermined measurement condition, the plate holding table is shifted to the plate exhausting position. On the other hand, when the data of the bar code is fit for the predetermined measurement condition, the plate holding table is shifted to the solution pipetting position and when the pipetting of the solutions is finished, the plate holding table is further shifted to the mesurement position. When the concentration of substance in the test solution is completed by the detecting unit, the plate holding table is shifted to the plate exhausting position.

Analyzing device

A method for accurately performing concentration measurements while compensating the dilution ratio as needed during continuous measurement of specified ingredient in the liquid to be tested. The liquid to be tested is diluted by a diluent, wherein the liquid to be tested and the diluent or the mixture of the two and the diluent is transferred by means of the respective tube pumps to a measuring section. Either or both of the quantities of liquid-feeding of those two liquids are changed at the beginning of measuring or in an optional stage during the time of the measurement, diluted and mixed at two or more dilution ratios. Then the real dilution ratio at the time of changing the quantities of the said liquids is found on the basis of the measured value of the substance to be measured at the respective dilution ratios, and the concentration of the substance contained in the liquid to be tested is determined by using the real dilution ratio.

Method for continuously measuring a specified ingredient in a diluted

At the time of drawing the blood continuously from the vein of the patient by means of a catheter and measuring the concentration of a specified constituent part contained in the blood automatically and continuously for long hours, the sample liquid and two sorts of correcting liquids (standard liquid I and base liquid) are sucked by a single sampling nozzle in prescribed order and are supplied to the measuring section through a common channel. Each of the liquids are diluted with a buffer solution at the identical rate with the manifold in the measuring section, are separated from one another through the interposition of air layers among them, and supplied to a sensor. The outputs of the measured sample liquid from the sensor are corrected by the outputs of each of the neighboring measured correcting liquids in succession and are displayed as measured values. In the blood-drawing section, there is used a double-current catheter having the first and second catheter arrangements which are constructed so as to be incorporated directly into the tube pump.

Device for automatically and continuously measuring the constituent

A method and device for measuring the osmotic pressure on the basis of an improved supercooling process, whereby and wherein cryohydrate nuclei are made to generate almost spontaneously in a part of a sample liquid by cooling the above part down further to a temperature (to an extra-supercooled state) lower than the temperature of a supercooled state, wherethrough the sample liquid as a whole is induced to freeze statically. Because of a non-necessity of using any stirring rod, it becomes possible to design a small-sized device, to reduce the sample liquid to be used to a possible infinitesimal, and further to perform the continuous measurement with the aid of the adoption of a flow cell.
