It is intended to provide a drug, a quasi-drug, a dermatological preparation for external use, or a material to be contained to drugs, quasi-drugs, dermatological preparations for external use, food products, or the like which has an excellent UCP-1 expression-promoting action and promotes conversion of adipose to brown adipose (browning). The present invention provides a UCP-1 expression promoter comprising a PPAR&#x3b3; activator and a Smad3 inhibitor in combination. The present invention also provides a UCP-1 expression promoter comprising a PPAR&#x3b3; activator, a Smad3 inhibitor, and a &#x3b2;3 adrenaline receptor activator or a TGR5 activator in combination.

UCP-1 expression promoter

Use of an organic solvent extract of a tempeh-fungus-fermented soybean product for the production of a PPAR&#x3b1; and/or PPAR&#x3b4; activator. Disclosed herein is an oil composition comprising the following components (A) and (B):(A) 15 to 70% by weight of diglycerides in which less than 15% by weight of the constitutive fatty acids are (3 type unsaturated fatty acids; and (B) 30 to 85% by weight of a triglyceride in which at least 15% by weight of the constitutive fatty acids are (3 type unsaturated fatty acids. The oil composition is good in flavor, hard to be colored, excellent in hydrolytic stability and resistance to oxidation, good in emulsion stability and excellent in intake balance among fatty acids even under severe conditions that heating is performed at a high temperature for a long period of time, can be widely developed to medicinal preparations and foods and moreover exhibit an excellent inhibitory effect on accumulation of body fat by ingestion of a small amount of diglycerides.

Abstract Provided is an oil/fat composition comprising 60 to 100 wt. % of a diglyceride wherein the diglyceride has, as the fatty acid constituent thereof, 15 to 90 wt. % of an &#x3c9; 3-unsaturated fatty acid having less than 20 carbon atoms and a cis &#x3c9; 3-unsaturated fatty acid/(cis &#x3c9; 6-unsaturated fatty acid+saturated fatty acid+trans unsaturated fatty acid) at a weight ratio of 1 to 6. The composition is excellent in visceral fat burning property, body fat burning property and stability against autoxidation.

Provided is an oil/fat composition comprising 10.1 to 94.9 wt. % of a triglyceride, 0.1 to 30 wt. % of a monoglyceride and 5 to 59.9 wt. % of a diglyceride which has, as a fatty acid constituent thereof, 15 to 90 wt. % of an &#x3c9;3-unsaturated fatty acid having less than 20 carbon atoms. The oil or fat composition of the invention contains a monoacylglycerol and/or a diacylglycerol in a total amount of 5-100 wt. % and which exhibits an index of stability against oxidation (induction time as measured through a Rancimat test conducted at 100&#xb0; C.) of 7 or higher, wherein the monoacylglycerol and/or the diacylglycerol contain, as fatty acid constituents, &#x3c9;3 unsaturated fatty acids in amounts of 15-90 wt. %. Through ingestion thereof in a small amount without drastically changing the person's lifestyle, the highly harmless oil/fat composition of the present invention provides effects for reducing and preventing accumulation of body fat, for reducing and preventing accumulation of visceral fat, and for prevention and treatment of obesity; and exerts an excellent prevention and treatment effect on life-style related diseases through long-term ingestion. Thus, the composition of the present invention is useful for foods, pharmaceuticals and pet food or feed.
