There is provided a filter which includes a fiber layer and an adsorbent. The fiber layer includes fiber. The adsorbent is held in the fiber and adsorbs a chemical substance. The filter is divided into a plurality of sections by a fold. Each of the plurality of sections includes a first end portion positioned along the fold, a center portion adjacent to the first end portion, and a second end portion which counterposes the first end portion with the center portion interposed. The density of the adsorbent at the center portion is greater than the density of the adsorbent at the first end portion and at the second end portion.

A laminate includes a first sheet containing first fibers, a second sheet laminated on the first sheet and containing second fibers, and an adhesive disposed between the first sheet and the second sheet. At least a part of the adhesive is disposed in an end portion along the edge side of the laminate so as to form a linear first region, and the first sheet is adhered to the second sheet via the first region. Alternatively, a mass per unit area of the adhesive present in an end portion along an edge side of the laminate is larger than a mass per unit area of the adhesive present in a portion near a central part of the laminate rather than the end portion.

An average diameter of the first fibers is larger than that of the second fibers not more than 3 &#x3bc;m. 50% by mass to 70% by mass, inclusive, of the second fibers satisfy x&#x2265;y, and 5% by mass to 30% by mass, inclusive, thereof satisfy x&#x3c;y/2. Cassettes contain electronic parts. First and second feeders are operative for feeding the electronic parts from the cassettes. A first mounting head has sucking nozzles for picking up the electronic parts fed by the first feeder. A second mounting head has sucking nozzles for picking up the electronic parts fed by the second feeder. A table arrangement is operative for holding a printed circuit board. The first and second mounting heads are alternately moved along a first direction to a region above the printed circuit board on the table arrangement. The table arrangement includes a mechanism for moving the printed circuit board on the table arrangement in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Also, the table arrangement includes a mechanisms for rotating the printed circuit board on the table arrangement about an axis perpendicular to both the first and second directions. The sucking nozzles of the first mounting head place the electronic parts on the printed circuit board on the table arrangement when the first mounting head is in the region above the printed circuit board. The sucking nozzles of the second mounting head place the electronic parts on the printed circuit board on the table arrangement when the second mounting head is in the region above the printed circuit board.

A chip component feeder is provided which includes a chip component storage box, a pick-up slider, a first feeding unit, and a second feeding unit. The pick-up slider slides to enter an outlet of the chip component storage box for picking up chip components and leads them to a feeding path formed in the first feeding unit communicating with the second feeding unit. The feeding path of the first feeding unit has a rectangular cross section suitable for the chip components of rectangular shape as well as square or circular shape.
