Antibacterial powder paint composition consisting mainly of polyamide, characterized in that zinc and/or silver/zinc composite compound is incorporated in polyamide as antibacterial agent. This powder coating composition can produce a film with improved antibacterial activity, discoloration and endurance.

The objective of the present invention lies in providing a resin composition which enables water vapor permeability to be controlled over a broad range while maintaining a high gas permeability, together with molded articles or packaging materials comprising said composition, in particular a packaging material for foodstuffs like fruit and vegetables. A thermoplastic resin composition which is characterized in that a polymer (A) containing polyether chains as structural units, polyethylene (B) of density as specified in JIS K6760 of less than 0.91 g/cm and a compatibilizing agent (C) are blended together in proportions by weight of A/B/C&equals;99.5 to 0.5/0.5 to 99.5/0 to 30 (where A&plus;B&plus;C&equals;100); and molded articles comprising said composition, in particular a packaging material for vegetables and fruit cultivation or foodstuffs storage.

Manufacturing a thermoplastic composition, there is first melt-blended a polymer (A)containing polyether chains, e.g. a polyetherpolyamide block copolymer, with (C) a vinyl compound, e.g. a copolymer of styrene and maleic anhydride and/or a compatibilizing agent (D), e.g. a graft copolymer with a polyolefin with an unsaturated carboxylic acid and the resultant melt-blended mixture is pelletized. The resultant pellets are then blended with a polyolefin (B) e.g. polyethylene. The resultant overall blended mixture can then be molded into films having a low variation in thickness of a desired permeability of water vapor and other gases.

The object of the present invention lies in offering plastic film having a suitable degree of moisture permeability and low water droplet adhesion. Plastic film which is characterized in that, in plastic film of moisture permeability, as prescribed in JIS Z0208, of less than 1000 g/m.sup.2 /24 h, there is lamination with a film of moisture permeability at least 1000 g/m.sup.2 /24 h.

The invention provides a plastic film possessing improved permeability to water vapor and high heat shielding property. Said plastic film is characterized by water vapor permeability of 100 to 25,000 g/m.sup.2 /24 hr, light transmittance of 20 to 95% and infrared transmittance of 5 to 90% and made of at least one material selected from a group comprising polyetherpolyamide block copolymer, thermoplastic polyester elastomer and thermoplastic polyurethane and containing flat inorganic particles coated with a substance having high refractive index.
