An exhaust silencer device which is interposed in an exhaust passage in a vehicle to reduce exhaust noise comprises a sub-muffler which is interposed in the exhaust passage and has an expansion chamber formed therein; an inlet pipe which is airtightly inserted through an inlet opening of the sub-muffler; and an outlet pipe which is airtightly inserted through an outlet opening of the sub-muffler, wherein the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe are formed with openings (small apertures, non-joined portions) only in their upper half area and their lower half area is sealed without having the openings.

An exhaust heat recovery device structure includes: an exhaust pipe; a catalytic converter that is connected to the exhaust pipe; an exhaust heat recovery device that is disposed further toward a vehicle rear side than the catalytic converter, and is disposed at an inner side of a floor tunnel that is formed at a vehicle floor portion, and a water pipe of cooling water is connected to a vehicle transverse direction one side of the exhaust heat recovery device, and the exhaust heat recovery device carries out heat exchange between the cooling water and the gas; and a connecting pipe that, at the inner side of the floor tunnel, connects the catalytic converter and the exhaust heat recovery device, and that is bent or curved toward the vehicle transverse direction one side with respect to a vehicle front side.

Exhaust heat recovery device structure

An exhaust heat recovery device of the present invention has: a first pipe through which exhaust from an engine flows; a second pipe that branches-off from the first pipe, and at which is disposed a heat recovery apparatus that carries out heat exchange with the exhaust and recovers exhaust heat; a valve member that adjusts an amount of flow of the exhaust that flows-in from the first pipe to the second pipe; and plural driving members that drive the valve member.

An exhaust heat recovery control device includes a recovered heat adjusting unit configured to adjust an amount of heat recovered of exhaust gas by an exhaust heat recoverer recovering heat of exhaust gas and a control unit configured to control the recovered heat adjusting unit so as to prevent or suppress freezing in an exhaust pipe based on a traveling history of a vehicle on which the exhaust heat recovery control device is mounted when the freezing in the exhaust pipe is predicted.

Gasket

An exhaust valve structure includes: an inner cylindrical portion that forms an introducing passage of exhaust gas and that has a stay member; a valve element that closes or opens the introducing passage; and a wire mesh that is fixed to the stay member and that contacts the valve element when the introducing passage is closed. The wire mesh is formed in a shape such that a diameter of the wire mesh gradually increases toward a downstream side of the introducing passage and a load exerted on the stay member when the valve element contacts the wire mesh is distributed in a diameter-increasing direction in which the diameter of the wire mesh increases.

Exhaust valve structure

An exhaust heat recovery apparatus () is installed below a floor supported by both side members () of a vehicle to recover heat from exhaust gas passing through an exhaust pipe () of an internal combustion engine. Assistance members (), which extend in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle, are provided between the both side members () of the vehicle. The exhaust heat recovery apparatus () is installed close to one of the assistance members ().

Vehicle structure in which exhaust heat recovery apparatus is installed

An exhaust heat recovery apparatus is installed below a floor supported by both side members of a vehicle to recover heat from exhaust gas passing through an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine. Assistance members, which extend in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle, are provided between the both side members of the vehicle. The exhaust heat recovery apparatus is installed close to one of the assistance members.

Vehicle system including a structure in which exhaust heat recovery apparatus is installed

A hose clamping device has a steel clamp band adapted to be tightened around an elastic hose in a ring-like form such that its opposite ends overlap each other. A tightening mechanism is provided on a portion of the band near the underlying end thereof and adapted to pull or push the overlying end, thereby tightening or loosening the band on the hose. A stopper is provided on a portion of the band ahead of the overlying end and is adapted to be contacted by the overlying end, so as to stop the advance of the same. The stopper is constituted by a tab-like portion cut out from a portion of the band and raised in such a manner that the upper surface thereof faces the advance of the overlying end, so as to be pressed down by the overlying end when the latter is pulled by the tightening means. Any excessive tightening by the tightening mechanism only causes the stopper to bend towards the cut out by the pressure applied by the overlying end of the band. Thus, no substantial reduction in the clamping effect is caused by the bending of stopper, thus assuring a stable clamping of the hose on, for example, a pipe end.
