An information medium capable of preventing inclination of tape reels driven for rotation. The information medium includes a pair of tape reels around which a magnetic tape is wound, a casing body rotatably accommodating the tape reels, and a pair of sheets in which a pair of insertion holes are formed, respectively. A pair of plate-shape spring members for urging at least one end of each reel body via an associated one of the sheets having opposite ends of respective hubs inserted into the insertion holes formed in the sheets are arranged at least one of a gap between one of the sheets, disposed toward one ends of the respective reel bodies, and one of main boards, and a gap between the other of the sheets, disposed toward the other ends of the respective reel bodies, and the other of the main boards.

Information medium

An information recording medium capable of avoiding insertion of a sheet material into a drive unit. The information recording medium is comprised of a tape cartridge that rotatably accommodates a tape reel wound with a tape-shaped recording medium (magnetic tape), a storage case that accommodates the tape cartridge, and a sheet material that is accommodated in the storage case together with the tape cartridge. The sheet material is formed to have a size in an unfolded state small enough to be accommodated in the storage case, and is accommodated in the storage case in a state where the sheet material is folded along a folding line.

Information recording medium

A tape reel includes a hub in the shape of a bottomed-cylinder with a disc-like lower flange integrally formed at a lower end thereof and an opening formed at an upper end thereof; and an upper flange that is disc-like, has a center hole formed therein, and has a ring-shaped protrusion formed so as to protrude at a rim of the center hole, the protrusion being fitted into and fixed at the opening of the hub. The upper flange is constructed by forming the rim of the center hole thicker than other parts aside from the rim.

Tape reel and information recording apparatus

A cartridge case includes a case main body, a tape reel having a hub including a first teeth portion and accommodated in the case main body, and a lock member including a second teeth portion engaged with the first teeth portion, wherein the lock member includes at least one of an inner peripheral projection formed to an inner peripheral side of the second teeth portion, projecting toward the bottom plate beyond the second teeth portion, and engaged with the tape reel on the inner peripheral side of the first teeth portion when the first teeth portion is engaged with the second teeth portion and an outer peripheral projection formed to the outer peripheral side of the second teeth portion, projecting toward the bottom plate beyond the second teeth portion, and engaged with the tape reel on the outer peripheral side of the first teeth portion in the above engaged state, thereby the tape reel can be securely locked without loosening a magnetic tape.

Cartridge case and information recording medium

A tape cartridge capable of preventing emission of vibrating sounds and occurrence of abrasion at a usage time when a reel hub unit rotates at a high rotating speed. The tape cartridge has a single reel hub unit rotatably accommodated in a case and having its periphery wound with a tape-shaped recording medium, a brake lock member including an engaging portion for engaging a reel hub unit to restrict rotation of the reel hub unit when in non-use, and a flat surface bearing portion provided substantially at a central part of the brake lock member, wherein the central axis of said flat surface bearing portion of the brake lock member is parallel with and offset from the rotating central axis around which said brake release member rotates together with said reel hub unit.

Tape cartridge

A cartridge case includes a case main body, a tape reel that includes a hub in the shape of a bottomed-cylinder and is rotatably enclosed inside the case main body, and a locking member on whose base part ring-shaped first teeth are formed, which is energized toward an inner surface of a base plate of the hub, is enclosed within the case main body so as to be capable of moving in a direction toward and away from the base plate, and restricts rotation of the tape reel. The tape reel includes a plurality of arc-shaped convex parts that are disposed on a circle about an axis of the hub on the inner surface of the base plate and support the locking member that has moved toward the base plate. Second teeth that engage the first teeth are formed on an upper part of at least one of the convex parts. A contact surface that contacts edges of the first teeth without engaging the first teeth is formed on an upper part of at least one of the convex parts.

A tape cartridge improving an assembling property of a leader member, for leading out a tape-shaped recording medium, to which a leading edge of the tape is fixed. The tape cartridge accommodates a reel hub unit rotatably, for winding a magnetic recording medium on its periphery, and includes a leader member for holding and fixing a leading edge of the magnetic recording medium. The leader member has a pin member having a pair of collar portions between which the magnetic recording medium is positioned, and a clamp member fitted in between the collar portions from through an opening so formed in a longitudinal direction of a cylindrical body as to extend to end surfaces on both sides of the cylindrical body, and clamping the magnetic recording medium between the pin member and the clamp member itself. Chamfered portions are provided at edge portions of the opening of the clamp member.

A tape reel includes: a hub in the shape of a bottomed-cylinder with a disc-like lower flange integrally formed at a lower end thereof and an opening formed at an upper end thereof; and an upper flange that is disc-like, has a center hole formed therein, and has a ring-shaped protrusion formed so as to protrude at a rim of the center hole, the protrusion being fitted into and fixed at the opening of the hub. The hub includes a plurality of reinforcing ribs that are respectively formed in an up-down direction on an inner circumferential surface of the hub.

Tape reel and information recording medium

An information recording medium of the present invention includes a pair of tape reels around which a magnetic tape is wound, a case main body having first windows and second windows formed to the side walls thereof and rotatably accommodating the pair of tape reels, wherein the first windows cause detection light to enter the inside of the case main body to detect the tape ends of the magnetic tape and the second windows cause the detection light to outgo to the outside of the case main body, a front cover turnably attached to the case main body to open and close a drawing-out port of the magnetic tape; and a reel brake, and the reel brake includes a main body disposed to the case main body so as to slide along a direction in which the main body comes into contact with and separates from the tape reels, and arms formed to the main body as well as slinging the main portion by moving along the direction in which they come into contact with and separate from the tape reels between the first windows and the second windows as the front cover is turned to thereby regulate the rotation of the tape reels and release the regulated rotation of the tape reels.

A molding mold and a molding method are disclosed, for molding a flange configuration in which a flange of a reel hub portion can be maintained in a predetermined configuration. Also a tape cartridge is disclosed, which can securely prevent a tape-shaped recording medium from touching at the flange while the tape cartridge is being used. In the molding mold for molding, a flange configuration is produced, which is provided with a reel hub portion having a flange and a hub arranged at a substantially center of the flange and an insert portion disposed at a substantially center of the reel hub portion at an opposite side of the hub, and which includes: an insert attaching portion; a flange forming portion for forming the flange; and a hub forming portion for forming the hub; wherein in a forming surface of at a side of the hub forming portion of the flange forming portion, a dimension of a circular area over from a root end of the hub forming portion to a substantially intermediate portion between the root end and a circumferential end of the flange forming portion, is corrected in view of deformation upon molding.

Molding mold, molding method and tape cartridge

A cartridge case includes: a tape reel including a hub that is shaped like a bottomed-cylinder and on an outer surface of a base plate of which ring-shaped driven teeth, in whose base part an inclined surface is formed, are disposed; a lower case that has an opening, a ring-shaped contact part and a guide surface, the opening being formed in a center of a base plate of the lower case, the contact part being formed in a protruding state on an inner surface of the base plate so as to surround the opening and having a contact surface that contacts and supports the tape reel at a position on the base plate of the hub outside the driven teeth, and the guide surface, which has a complementary form to the inclined surface of the driven teeth, being formed at an edge of the opening; and an upper case that together with the lower case encloses the tape reel in a rotatable state. The contact part is formed so that an end of the contact surface on a center of the opening-side is positioned closer to an outer circumference of the base plate of the lower case than a virtual plane that extends from the guide surface.

A tape cartridge includes a leader pin that is fixed to an end of a magnetic tape, a case main body that is composed of an upper case and a lower case, has a tape withdrawal opening through which the magnetic tape can be withdrawn formed in a side surface thereof, and has leader pin storage parts capable of respectively storing an upper end and a lower end of the leader pin formed in the upper case and the lower case in a vicinity of the tape withdrawal opening, and a spring member that is disposed in the case main body, regulates movement of the leader pin by having contact surfaces thereof contact or be near to side surfaces of both the end parts of the leader pin that are stored in the leader pin storage parts, and elastically deforms when the leader pin is withdrawn to stop regulating the movement. The contact surfaces of the spring member are curved towards central parts thereof so as to project towards the side surfaces.

A door member for a tape cartridge capable of automating the operation of mounting a spring member thereon. A door body is in the form of a flat plate. A spring-mounting portion is in the form of a flat plate and extends from the door body and has one end face in which opens an insertion hole formed therein for having a foremost end of a spring member inserted therein. One surface-side wall and another surface-side wall define the insertion hole from an opening-side region of the insertion hole toward the end face to an innermost region of the insertion hole. Cutouts are alternately formed in the one surface-side wall and the other surface-side wall, such that the cutouts communicate with the insertion hole. A protuberance is formed on an inner surface of the one surface-side wall facing the innermost region, for engagement with the foremost end of the spring member.

Door member for tape cartridge, and tape cartridge

A tape cartridge enabling a leader member fixing a leading edge of a tape-shaped recording medium led outside to acquire sufficient clamping force acting on the leading edge of the tape. The tape cartridge accommodates a reel hub unit rotatably, for winding a tape on its periphery, and includes a leader member for holding and fixing a leading edge of the tape. The leader member has a pin member having a pair of collar portions between which the tape-shaped recording medium is positioned, and a clamp member fitted in between the collar portions from through a longitudinal opening formed in a cylindrical body, and clamping the leading edge of the recording medium between the pin member and the clamp member. A diameter of the pin member is about 1.2 to 1.8 mm, and an inside diameter of the clamp member is about 90 to 96.6% of the diameter.

This tape cartridge is provided with a tape reel being rotatable and having a reel teeth portion; and a brake-locking member having a brake teeth portion in which mating operation and mate-releasing operation can be performed with respect to the reel teeth portion. The reel teeth portion and the brake teeth portion, each has plural teeth. Each of the teeth has a taper portion being inclined toward both sides from a tip part of the taper portion and a vertical portion extending in a substantially vertical manner from both end terminals of the taper portion to a base portion. At the time of the mating, the tip part is contacted with a bottom surface of the base portion at the side of the opposite teeth, and the vertical portion is opposed to the vertical portion at the side of the opposite teeth. At the time of mating, the vertical portions of the teeth are mutually contacted and the mating state is hard to become unfitted. Additionally, height of the teeth can be low and a gap between the teeth can be wide when the cartridge is used, so that contact between the teeth can be prevented.
