A magnetic tape cassette comprises a cassette casing, a pair of reels, on which a magnetic tape is wound, which are received in the cassette casing in a rotatable manner, and an interlocking plate for stopping the feeding of the magnetic tape, mounted on either one of said pair of reels, which is provided with an adjusting button and a control pin, wherein the interlocking plate and the adjusting button are formed integrally of a flexible material.

A magnetic tape cassette has in the front portion of the housing two pairs of fixed tape guide ribs protruding the same length frontwardly of the housing to define a guide path for the magnetic tape and also protruding so as to form linear front edges of a height greater than the width of the tape, the fixed tape guide ribs in at least one pair being formed adjacent to each other, with the upper and lower ends of the protruding front edges being integrally joined by bridges of the same material. The bridges are formed to have a given, constant width and a given, constant height upwardly and downwardly.

A pressure pad device for a magnetic tape cassette comprises a leaf spring having a central fulcrum portion, left and right side portions extending symmetrically from the central fulcrum portion, and each pad attached to each near end of the left and right side portions so as to be equidistant from the central fulcrum portion. A fitting hole is formed at the central fulcrum portion by bending alternately a plurality of strip zones formed in the central fulcrum portion of the leaf spring inwardly and outwardly. The fitting hole is adapted to receive a supporting pole of the magnetic tape cassette and each end of the left and right side portions of the leaf spring is flexibly in contact with each supporting of the magnetic tape cassette.

A magnetic tape cassette provided with a separating sheet interposed between a magnetic recording tape and a half casing. The separating sheet is provided with first protrusions projecting toward the tape and second protrusions projecting toward the half casing.

A magnetic tape clamping device of a reel hub is formed by a clamping piece having projections at the both ends and a concave portion formed on the periphery of the reel hub in which an undercut portion is formed in each side wall of the concave portion so that an increased clamping force is applied between the projections of the clamping piece and legs formed by undercut portions when a magnetic tape is pulled.

A case for holding a magnetic tape cassette comprises a case body and a cover pivotally joined together by a pair of pivots fitted in corresponding pivot-receiving holes, with arcuate protuberances formed respectively around the pivots and pivot holes in such a manner that, when the pivots have been fitted in the holes, the both protuberances coact to keep the opposing side walls of the case body and the cover apart from each other, the protuberances themselves being arranged so as not to overlap each other. The pivots protrude inwardly from the side walls of the case body, the pivot holes are formed in the side walls of the cover, and the arcuate protuberances are formed, one for each, on the inner faces of the side walls of the case body and on the outer faces of the side walls of the cover. The protuberances of the case body are formed to extend semicircularly through an angle of 180 degrees around the pivots, and the protuberances of the cover extend through an angle of 90 degrees around the pivot holes.

A tape cassette comprises a tape guide having a cylindrical surface formed by hard chromium plating or nickel plating. The tape guide is a cylindrical plate having a slit parallel to the axis. The cylindrical tape guide has a groove at one end of the guide and is fitted to a post having a projection mounted on a half-case under connecting the groove of the guide to the projection of the post to contact the tape with the surface formed by the hard chromium plating or nickel plating.

A tape cassette comprises a cover for covering a wound tape which comprises a polar member mounted on a wall of the cover and a coil spring fitted to the polar member. The polar member has a narrow width slit at the free end and a wide width slit adjacent to the narrow width slit at the side of the fixed end and one end of the coil spring is inserted in to the wide width slit through the narrow width slit and the other end of the coil spring is contacted with a case body.
