Provided is a light-absorbing material flying apparatus including: a light-absorbing material that absorbs light; and a light-absorbing material flying section configured to irradiate the light-absorbing material with an optical vortex laser beam corresponding to a light absorption wavelength of the light-absorbing material to fly the light-absorbing material by an energy of the optical vortex laser beam in a direction in which the optical vortex laser beam is emitted to attach the light-absorbing material on an attachment target.

A method for producing a crystalline amino acid involves a step of irradiating a saturated solution of an amino acid with an optical vortex and depositing a crystalline amino acid in the saturated solution of amino acid. It is desirable that the amino acid is at least one of alanine, arginine, asparagine, asparagine acid, cysteine, glutamine, glutamine acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine, and derivatives thereof.

Provided is the possibility for new application of optical vortices. In order to do so, the method for producing an organic helical structure according to the present invention entails irradiating the surface of macromolecules that exhibit a photoisomerization reaction with an optical vortex, thereby forming a nanoscale helical structure on the surface of the macromolecules. In this case, it is preferable that the macromolecules exhibiting a photoisomerization reaction are azo polymer and/or spiropyran-polymer macromolecules. Moreover, it is preferable that the step for forming a nanoscale helical structure is repeated, and that a plurality of nanoscale helical structures are formed in two dimensions on the surface of the macromolecules. It is also preferable that the optical vortex is circularly polarized light, and that the total angular momentum (J) of the optical vortex is not 0.

Method for producing organic helical structure, and organic helical structure produced using said method

Provided is an optical vortex laser oscillation device which is capable of an increased out and can generate an optical vortex even in a wide frequency range and if the optical vortex has a quantum number which is not an integer. A laser device according to one embodiment of the present application comprises: a laser light source for generating laser light; an optical vortex generation unit for generating an energized optical vortex on the basis of the laser light generated by the laser light source; and an optical resonance unit for resonating the energized optical vortex generated by the optical vortex generation unit and dividing the energized optical vortex into signal light and idler light. Therein, it is preferable that the optical resonance unit comprises a non-liner medium and a pair of resonator mirrors sandwiching the non-linear medium, and it is preferable that the non-linear medium includes at least one among KTiOPO, periodically polarization-reversed LiNbO, and periodically polarization-reversed LiTaO.

Method for oscillating an optical vortex laser and optical vortex laser oscillation device

A wide-band ultrashort-pulse optical oscillator includes: an optical amplification mediumthat optically amplifies an incident light having a wide band or a plurality of bands so as to be converted into an oscillation light emitted from an optical resonator; an energy injection elementthat either injects energy into the optical amplification medium so that light energy is generated, or injects light energy into the optical amplification medium; a negative dispersion elementthat imparts a negative dispersion to a pulse light of the oscillation light; a mode lockerthat produces a mode-locking with respect to the pulse light; a positive dispersion elementthat imparts a positive dispersion to the pulse light; and an optical system formed so that the pulse light passes through a loop-like optical path from the optical amplification medium via the negative dispersion element, the mode locker, and the positive dispersion element, back to the optical amplification medium in at least one of the stated direction and an opposite direction. With this, it is possible to generate an ultrashort-pulse light in a wide band, with a high degree of efficiency.
