A door device for an elevator is provided with an elevator door for opening/closing a doorway through which an interior of a car communicates with a landing, a distance sensor for continuously detecting a distance from the doorway to a passenger at the landing, a processing device for obtaining a door control command corresponding to information from the distance sensor, and a door control device for controlling a movement of the elevator door based on the door control command from the processing device. Thus, the elevator door can be moved in accordance with the movement of the passenger. Accordingly, the passenger is allowed to board the car more reliably, and a running efficiency of the elevator can be enhanced.

Device for elevator door control based on a detected object

A control apparatus for an elevator has a support device mounted on a car, a detection device for detecting the position of the car, and a control unit for controlling operation of the elevator based on information from the detection device. The support device has a rail holding member, which is displaceable with respect to the car and is guided by a guide rail located in a hoistway in which the car moves. The detection device is located on the rail holding member.

Control apparatus for an elevator responsive to car-mounted position detectors

An emergency stop system for an elevator includes a state sensor for detecting an operation of a car, a brake device for braking the car, a brake controller for outputting a signal for operating the brake device based on a signal detected by the state sensor, and an uninterruptible power supply device for supplying electric power to the sensor, the brake device, and the controller. The controller has a signal processing/calculating unit for calculating the deceleration of the car based on the signal detected by the sensor, a command value calculating unit for calculating a command value for operating the brake device based on the deceleration of the car calculated by the processing/calculating unit, and a power monitoring device for monitoring state of the uninterruptible power supply device. At least one of the sensor, the processing/calculating unit, and the calculating unit includes independent systems.

Emergency stop system for elevator

An elevator apparatus is equipped with an elevator component that is operated during operation of an elevator, a detector for measuring a change in a physical quantity other than temperature as to the elevator component, and a control device for controlling the operation of the elevator based on information from the detector. The elevator component is, for example, a hoisting machine for moving a car of the elevator. The hoisting machine has a motor, and a driving sheave that is rotated by the motor. The detector measures a strain of a frame of the motor as the physical quantity other than temperature. The control device determines based on the strain of the frame of the motor whether or not there is an abnormality in the operation of the elevator, and controls the operation of the elevator. It is therefore possible to determine easily and more reliably whether or not there is an abnormality in the operation of the elevator, without the need to directly measure the temperature of the motor ().

Elevator apparatus control by measuring changes in a physical quantity other than temperature

In a control operation performed at time of an earthquake or strong wind, when a running elevator is stopped at a nearest floor, the natural frequency of the transverse vibration of a rope is prevented from resonating with the natural frequency of the building, and thereby an increase in transverse vibration of the rope is restrained. In the control operation, when a shake of the building caused by earthquake or strong wind is detected, a running elevator is stopped at the nearest floor, or an elevator passing through an express zone is stopped emergently and runs at a low speed to the nearest floor, the natural frequency of the transverse vibration of the rope is compared with the natural frequency of the building, and the car stop position is selected at a non-resonance position to prevent the natural frequency of the transverse vibration of the rope from resonating with the natural frequency of the building.

Elevator operation control device

In an elevator apparatus, first and second raised/lowered bodies are raised and lowered by hoisting machines. The second raised/lowered body has a raised/lowered main body and a rocking member rockably connected to the raised/lowered main body. The raised/lowered main body is suspended by a main rope via the rocking member. The main rope has a first rope end connected to the rocking member on one side of a rocking center of the rocking member and a second rope end connected to the rocking member on another side of the rocking center.

Elevator apparatus

An elevator apparatus has a car suspended by a main rope through the intermediation of a shackle spring. The car is equipped with a displacement sensor for measuring the displacement amount of the main rope with respect to the car. The displacement sensor is electrically connected to an abnormality control device mounted on the car. The abnormality control device obtains the magnitude of the tension of the main rope based on information from the displacement sensor, and selectively outputs a braking command signal to one of the following devices: an operation control device, a brake device, and an emergency stop device, according to the magnitude of the tension of the main rope.

In an elevator apparatus, a control device obtains car information including at least one of car position information and car speed information based on a main detection signal from a main sensor unit. An auxiliary sensor unit detects arrival of a car at a preset reference position with in a hoistway to generate an auxiliary detection signal. The control device makes corrections to the car information based on the auxiliary detection signal.

Elevator apparatus including main and auxiliary sensors

In a buffer device for an elevator, a hydraulic buffer that alleviates shock generated when a traveling body impacts at the bottom of a hoistway is located at the bottom of the hostway. Provided between the traveling body and the bottom of the hoistway is an elastic member that is elastically deformed and that alleviates the shock generated by the impact of the traveling body with the hydraulic buffer. The elastic member is arranged so that, when elastically deformed, almost fall of the elastic member is positioned within a range of a vertical dimension of the hydraulic buffer.

Buffer device for elevator

An elevator apparatus has a criterion (overspeed levels) that changes in accordance with an operational condition of a car. The elevator apparatus also has a position information correcting means that corrects an error in value that determines the criterion. In the elevator apparatus, the overspeed levels are determined using continuous information corresponding to car position, while the continuous information is corrected using intermittent information corresponding to actual car position. According to the elevator apparatus, on-the-spot adjustment or long-time maintenance becomes unnecessary, and overspeed detection levels can easily be changed in accordance with the operation conditions of the car.

An escalator with a high speed inclined section, includes link mechanisms, each of which has a first link with a first end rotatably connected to a step link roller shaft, and a second link, a first end of which is rotatably connected to a middle portion of the first link and a second end of which is rotatably connected to a step link roller shaft of an adjacent step. A rotatable auxiliary roller is located at a second end of the first link.

Escalator with high speed inclined section

In an escalator having a high-speed inclined portion, shape of an auxiliary track in a speed-changing region for steps is determined by finding a positional relationship between step link roller shafts of at least one of the steps and an adjacent step from a step speed profile representing speed of the step link roller shafts as a function of time. The shape of a riser is determined such that the riser aligns with a relative movement locus of the adjacent step by finding a relative positional relationship between the step and the adjacent step from the step speed profile.

Sloped part high-speed escalator

An elevator vibration reducing device in which horizontal vibrations of a cage are detected by a vibration sensor. The cage is displaced horizontally by an actuator. A control portion for controlling the actuator has a computing portion for computing a vibration reduction control signal for reducing the horizontal vibrations of the cage based on a vibration detection signal generated by the vibration sensor. The control portion has a detection signal comparing portion for comparing a detection value obtained from the vibration detection signal with a previously set value, and stopping controlling of the actuator when the detection value becomes no less than the set value.

Active horizontal vibration reducing device for elevator

In an escalator with a high speed inclined section, steps are coupled in an endless manner and circulate. Driving roller shafts of the steps adjacent to each other are coupled with each other by a link mechanism. An interval between the driving roller shafts is changed as the link mechanism is transformed. An outer peripheral length change absorbing mechanism is provided in a reversing section of a circulation path of the steps. The outer peripheral length change absorbing mechanism absorbs a change in an outer peripheral length of a polygon, formed by connecting axes of the driving rollers with straight lines, while guiding movement of the driving rollers in the reversing section.

In an escalator with a high speed inclined section, shape of an auxiliary rail is set, in a section between a forward path side horizontal section and a forward path side constant inclined section of a circulation path, such that, of steps adjacent to each other, a moving track of a relative position of a step on a lower step side with respect to a step on an upper step side is the same as surface shape of a riser of the step on the upper step side.
